She gasped and got teary eyed.

She shifted and I went out and headed to the cafeteria and drank the coffee from there to stay awake.I went back to the ward and some of the nurses when I passed by gave me this disgusted look.

I went back to the ward and Eddy was waiting for me outside with a brown envelope.He handed it to me and I skimmed through it only reading the relevant information.He wasn't a saint at all.He much did some fucked up stuff to get the wealth he had and got away with a lot of things that would get him locked for a very long time.

Me:Where is he now?

Eddy:He is police custody.His bail hearing hasn't been set yet

Me:Who is the officer handling the case?

Eddy:Its a new recruit by the name of Detective Jali

Me:She's a hard cookie to crack

Eddy:Never mind the fact that she has been out to get you for about 2 years now

Me:I know that but I can't ignore that the bastard wanted to hurt Bianca or do you expect me to do that?

He bowed down and left.I got inside her ward and she was still sleeping.A doctor was examining her.I read his name tag and it was Dr Hlophe.He wrote some things on the file.

Dr Hlophe:You must be her wife , Ms Zulu I would say it is nice to know you but given the rumours hat I have heard about you I wouldn't say I am glad at all

Me:Didn't think you were the type to listen to rumours

Dr Hlophe:Didn't think you were the type to raise your hand on a helpless women but here we are , aren't we?

Me:How is she?

Dr Hlophe:She will be okay , we are still waiting for her to respond to the medication and her swelling will eventually come down

Me:And she'll wake up?

Dr Hlophe:Yes ma'am, but the unfortunate part is that she'll be not going with you

Me:Why is that?

Dr Hlophe:I have already informed the authorities and they will be here first thing in the morning

He took the file and went out.I sat down and held her hand.

Me:You have to wake up Ms Dlamini , you still owe me that coffee date and I didn't forget easily

I kissed her hand and watched her sleeping hearing the sounds of the heart monitor.

I woke up when I felt a hand brushing my head.A whole different kind of peace descended on my shoulders and I became calm.The place I was in was completely white with music playing in the background.We were sitting on the bench.She stopped brushing my head and made me look at her , she was beautiful as the last time I saw her.
