"Slime, stop randomly thinking these things. Both I and the dragon over there can read your thoughts," Zaydas reminded with a friendly tone.

"Yes," the Dragon replied. "In fact, I was sealed here 300 years ago. Since then, I've had nothing to do, I've been very, very bored. How about it?"

Zaydas listened to this with interest and remained silent.

'I'm curious about this sealing thing, but…' The Slime agreed: 'Alright, it will be my pleasure!'

"Very well," the Dragon said. "There's a skill called 'Magic Detector.' Can you use it?"

'No, I can't.'

"The skill detects magicles around you."

'If I can detect the magicles, I'll be able to see? Well, I'll give it a try.'

Zaydas seemed to have heard something interesting. Closing his eyes, he tried to sense everything around him.

'I see, so that's it.' Zaydas smiled as he 'saw' the magicles around him. They looked like the northern lights and small sparks of flames, but they weren't limited to red; there was also purple and other colors.

When he used it, he felt as if he could see even with his eyes closed. Not to mention his field of vision was expanded, leaving him virtually without blind spots.

'Storm Dragon?!' The Slime was surprised.

Zaydas didn't even try to feign surprise, remaining silent.

"I am one of the four True Dragons that exist in this world. HAHAHAHAH!" He let out a loud laugh.

His laughter was so loud that the cave shook.

Abruptly stopping his laughter, Veldora brought his head close to the Slime. "Hey, remember your promise, yes?"

"O-Of course! I'm not scared!" The Slime said, but it was obviously afraid. "W-Well, I'll come back later to talk more!"

"Wait!" Veldora stopped him. "I've already told you everything about me. Now it's your turn, don't you agree?"

'I'm not sure.' The Slime thought. 'The thing is, I used to be a human. But I got stabbed, died, and ended up like this.'

"Makes sense. You're a reincarnated one," Veldora deduced after hearing this.

'Reincarnated…' The Slime seemed sad. 'So I really was reborn as a Slime.'

"You ended up being born into this world in a very rare way," Veldora said.

'Huh? Rare?'

"Occasionally, beings from other worlds appear, but you're the first to come as a reincarnated one," Veldora explained. "After all, it's not common to survive the journey between worlds in soul form."

'So, people from other worlds come here, but not as reincarnations?' The Slime asked mentally.

"Correct," Veldora replied. "We call them Outsiders. It seems they gain special abilities when they cross into this world."

'Makes sense. I guess my abilities came that way,' the Slime said. 'Maybe there's another Japanese person here. I think I'll try to find some of these Outsiders.'

If this were a cartoon, a big sign with an arrow pointing at Zaydas would be saying: [There's one right here!]

"Huh? Leaving already?" Veldora deflated.

'W-Well, I guess I'll stay a little longer,' the Slime said. 'After all, I have nothing else to do…'

"Well, since you insist so much…" Veldora said. "I suppose I can consider your proposal, understood?"

'You're a Tsundere?!' The Slime exclaimed in his mind, then added, 'Yes, I insist! It's decided! If you refuse, that's it! I won't come back here anymore!'

"F-Fine. I will be your friend. Be grateful!"

'I thought I had just become background scenery, but I still got dragged into it in the end, huh?' Zaydas still extended his hand, touching the claw—which looked oddly similar to Patrick's hand from SpongeBob, only blue.

Time passed, and soon, Zaydas, Veldora, and the Slime talked for several minutes. Then, the Slime proposed breaking Veldora's seal, but to do so, he would need to use Devour, keeping Veldora inside his stomach.

Veldora laughed loudly: "Hahaha! That's interesting. Very well, I accept!"

'Then, I will…'

"Wait!" Veldora said. "Before that, I noticed you don't have a name. Even Zaydas over there—since he isn't just a simple human, I found it strange from the start. I can give you a name as a bonus, so be grateful!"

"As I explained before, a name is something special for monsters. It is something engraved in the soul of those who receive it, something very close to a family name. The name I give you will provide divine protection."

"And since you want to keep your name, then your name will be Zaydas Gremory. And, you can say that your full name is Zaydas Gremory Tempest!"

At that moment, something deep changed in Zaydas' essence. The name Zaydas Gremory Tempest was engraved into his soul.

Looking down, Zaydas smiled. "Yes, I am."
