The Insights of the Gods, Deducing the Forbidden Spells at Hogwarts

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: I Wonder How You’ll React When I Turn Into a Dragon

Charlie flew slowly.

Within his field of vision

A tall, thin man in a black suit was closely following him.

The man had even placed a magical tracking mark on Charlie.

Of course

Charlie was well aware of all this.

Yet, he made no effort to remove the mark.

Half a day passed.

The owl that Charlie had possessed flew into a dense forest.

At the edge of the forest, the man in the black suit hesitated slightly

Then stepped inside.

"Lumos!"

Upon entering the depths of the forest, the man drew his wand

Casting a lighting spell.

He slowly raised his arm, murmuring an incantation

His arm seemed to move of its own accord, pulling him in another direction.

"This way," he muttered, shaking his head before continuing forward.

What he didn't know was

Although he had been tracking the owl, every move he made was under Charlie's watchful eyes.

In fact, Charlie had intentionally left signals and clues for him.

After about thirty minutes

The magical mark on the man's hand grew stronger.

It was the tracking spell he had placed on Charlie earlier.

The closer he got to Charlie, the more intense the feedback became.

"Come out, Dark Wizard!"

"I know you're here."

"You have violated wizarding law. I have the authority to arrest you."

"If you surrender now, I will appeal for leniency on your behalf in court."

His voice echoed through the forest.

Charlie was a little surprised.

From the way he spoke

It seemed this man had another identity.

A Ministry of Magic Auror?

It looked like that noseless guy's influence had run pretty deep.

"Come out now. Don't try any tricks, you have no idea how strong I am."

"No Dark Wizard has ever escaped my capture."

"I'll count to three. If you don't show yourself, I will"

Before he could finish

Charlie appeared before him, watching him with an amused expression.

The man's pupils contracted sharply.

His face showed a moment of horror

Then quickly turned to delight.

He had initially been tracking the owl, curious about its long interaction with Harry.

He had only wanted to investigate the owl's identity.

But what he hadn't expected

Was to find someone else here.

Someone who looked very much like Harry.

Someone who shared similar features.

It was obvious

Charlie was Harry's biological brother.

After Harry's parents were murdered, the entire wizarding world knew about it.

Everyone knew Harry had been taken in by his aunt.

Some Dark Wizards had tried to target Harry before, but the protective charms on him had given them a nasty surprise

Inflicting serious damage.

But the other rumored child

Had remained missing.

That was Charlie.

Hogwarts had done an excellent job of keeping his existence a secret.

"Young man, what are you doing here?"

The man in black put on a friendly smile.

"If I said I got lost, would you believe me?"

Charlie smirked.

"Lost? This isn't a place for kids like you."

The man stepped closer.

"Let me take you out of here. You can trust me, I'm like the police."

"Is that so?"

Charlie found his false sincerity amusing.

"If I'm not mistaken, you tracked an owl here, didn't you?"

"But when you saw me, someone who looks like this, you were so surprised and excited that you put the owl aside for now."

"Now, what if I told you"

"That the owl… was me?"

Charlie spoke with a playful tone, his expression calm.

The man's face changed drastically.

His gaze toward Charlie became much more cautious.

Right

In his excitement, he had overlooked something.

This whole situation was far too strange.

This child

Couldn't really be Harry's brother, could he?

It had to be some kind of disguise.

After all, how could a ten-year-old boy be so bold?

With that thought

His instincts, honed from years in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, kicked in.

"Cruciatus!"

Without warning

The man spoke no further

And unleashed the Cruciatus Curse at Charlie.

A cruel, sinister move

Straight to one of the three Unforgivable Curses.

Charlie collapsed immediately.

Rolling on the ground in apparent agony.

Seeing this, the man finally exhaled in relief.

"Now, speak. Who exactly are you? What is your purpose?"

He approached Charlie, crouched down, and pressed him for answers.

"Ah... it hurts..."

Charlie uttered a few words, his face contorted in pain

Which greatly satisfied the man in black.

[You have witnessed your enemy using the Cruciatus Curse on you and have comprehended its essence.]

In Charlie's mind, the intricacies of the Cruciatus Curse unraveled with absolute clarity.

That should be enough.

Charlie stood up and casually dusted off his clothes

All while the black-clad man watched, eyes wide with disbelief.

He had had enough fun.

Did this guy really think a single Cruciatus Curse was enough to make him submit?

Did he not know that the wizarding world had recently discovered a new technique, one that allowed the body to instinctively form a magical barrier against Dark Arts attacks?

And that the breakthrough in that research... was made by him?

"Y-You… how is this possible?"

"Why aren't you affected at all? You were faking it just now!"

"Damn it! Why didn't it work?!"

The man in black was beginning to panic.

But he quickly regained his composure.

He couldn't afford to lose his nerve.

After all, this boy didn't even have a wand.

There was still a chance.

Without hesitation, the man incanted a spell

A powerful offensive spell shot toward Charlie.

Charlie simply watched him

A smirk playing at the corners of his lips.

Then, he slowly rolled his neck.

A series of cracking sounds echoed from his body.

His clothes began to tear apart as something massive pushed against them from within.

And in an instant

A monstrous creature stood before the black-clad man.

The man was utterly petrified.
