Chapter 28: Chapter 28: It's That Owl, I'm Not Crazy

"Vernon! Vernon!"

"Damn it, I'm really going to die!"

"Harry! Harry! You little bastard, come help me!"

Marge was struggling on the ground.

She was already incoherent.

She actually wanted Harry to help her.

That was pure wishful thinking.

But her sharp screams quickly woke up the neighbors.

Some kind-hearted people were even preparing to go help her.

Harry's uncle, Vernon,

was also woken up.

Looking out the window,

he saw that his sister Marge was being mauled by that dog.

His face changed drastically.

He immediately grabbed his shotgun,

not even bothering to change out of his pajamas, and rushed out the door.

He had a bad feeling about this.

Somehow, this had to be related to Harry.

Long ago,

he had noticed something different about Harry.

For instance, Harry could suddenly make objects float.

Or shatter small glass panes out of nowhere.

Vernon knew all of it.

A wizard's descendant.

There was no escaping the awakening of magic.

"You damn mongrel!"

"Vernon! Where are you? Hurry up and save me!"

Marge was still rolling on the ground.

Harry couldn't help but chuckle.

But then, feeling a little guilty, he glanced around,

seemingly trying to find a way to stop the crazed dog.

But his small frame was no help at all.

Then, as if drawn by some force, Harry looked over at the owl nearby.

To his shock,

the owl shook its head.

Harry was completely dumbfounded.

It was all real.

Everything had been caused by this owl...

Who was it?

A demon?

Thinking back to earlier that night, when he had actually treated the owl like a confidant,

rambling on about all sorts of things,

Harry suddenly felt his head spinning.

"Damn it!"

Vernon arrived.

He kicked the dog aside.

The dog tried to lunge again.

Bang!

A gunshot rang out.

The crazed dog collapsed in a pool of blood.

At least in this,

Vernon was decisive.

If he hadn't done it,

Marge might have been bitten to death.

"Oh, my poor sister, get up already."

"What a misfortune, a demon has latched onto you."

"Don't worry, I've taken care of it for you."

Muttering under his breath, Vernon helped Marge up.

"Come on, we're going to the hospital. You have too many wounds, they need proper treatment."

"Vernon, hurry up and take me to the hospital! I'm going to die, it hurts so much!"

Marge was still in shock.

She burst into tears.

She didn't even glance at her beloved "precious" dog.

She wailed in agony.

Then, by chance, she looked up

And saw that owl staring at her.

Her heart nearly stopped.

She couldn't help but tremble all over.

...

A few hours later.

Inside a hospital room.

Marge was wrapped up like a mummy,

lying on the bed,

groaning nonstop.

"Vernon, why did this happen? What terrible sin did I commit for God to punish me like this?"

"I was just trying to discipline Harry. As an elder, that's my responsibility."

"Could it be that Harry was too naughty, and angered God, so He took it out on me?"

Marge kept rambling.

Vernon was feeding her,

but inadvertently glanced at Harry.

There was a warning in his eyes.

Harry had been secretly smirking,

but the moment he saw Vernon's look, he quickly straightened up.

"Come with me."

Vernon called Harry outside.

"Damn it, was this your doing?"

Vernon was furious,

directly questioning him.

Harry shook his head.

It really wasn't him.

He didn't have that kind of power.

If he did, he wouldn't have spent the night trapped in a tree by that dog.

"You better not let me find out anything suspicious!"

Vernon warned Harry,

then went back into the hospital room.

The moment he stepped inside, he put on a smile.

"My dear sister, let's finish eating."

"Rest well and recover."

Vernon lifted a bowl of mushroom soup.

"Vernon, this is definitely Harry's fault!"

"If he hadn't stepped on my dog, I wouldn't have chased after him!"

"My dog wouldn't have gone crazy, it's all his fault!"

Marge wailed while cursing Harry.

Her behavior even made Vernon frown.

"Harry, it's all Harry!"

"Vernon, throw him out already!"

"He's a curse!"

Marge suddenly started screaming,

drawing discontent from the other patients in the room.

"Marge, drink your soup first."

Vernon tried to be patient.

"No, Vernon! Get rid of him first!"

Marge shrieked.

Finally

Vernon's face darkened.

"Enough!"

He slammed the bowl down and stormed out.

He'd had enough.

This was too much.

Endless ranting and raving.

"Ah! Vernon, you don't understand me either!"

"Don't leave! What will I do if you leave?"

"Believe me, it's all because of that cursed Harry!"

Marge panicked.

Suddenly

Out of the corner of her eye,

she caught sight of a familiar figure.

An owl.

Hovering idly outside the window.

Its sharp, cold gaze

Fixated on her.

Marge was terrified.

She started trembling uncontrollably.

She pulled the blanket over her head,

muttering frantically.

"The owl is here."

"The devil is here."

"Too scary."

"Please, spare me."

"…"

Time passed.

The other patients in the room couldn't take it anymore.

One of them spoke to Vernon.

"Your sister seems to be having a mental breakdown."

"Maybe you should consider taking her to a psychiatrist?"

"She can't go on like this."

Hearing that,

Harry couldn't hold back his laughter.

Marge, of all people, had ended up like this.

He looked outside the window.

The owl was still there.

Harry exchanged a glance with it.

Then he quietly left the room,

heading toward the rooftop.
