The Honey Trap: Poisonous Queen Bee's Charm Is Too Irresistible

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: I'm Now a Queen

Nimue didn't have time to think, only to act. She leaped, distancing herself from her cocoon. Her pair of small wings buzzed nervously as she rushed to evade the incoming attack.

Suddenly, the air around Nimue thickened, the space seemingly distorting with dark fog that clumped unnaturally in haste.

"Wait that wasn't a fog! So... many bees..."

The buzzing grew frantic and a large group of larger appeared, and sprang into action, their wings a blur as they darted to and fro.

"What's... happening?" Nimue's thoughts whirled. And then, an answer came to her, so sudden and clear it nearly knocked her breathless.

"The horde of bees is responding to the threat. They're... protecting me?" muttered Nimue with a mixture of awe and disbelief.

To be precise, it wasn't just the frantic buzz of her wings, but the urgent pheromones she released that called the scattered worker bees. They'd been out foraging when another swarm attacked, and their queen, the lifeline of their colony, was in danger!

In that split second, as the bear's claws swiped toward her, the air cracked with the buzz of thousands of wings, the swarm of bees surging toward the beast like a living wave of fury.

The fog of bees thickened around them as the bees' desperation formed an impenetrable shield. A storm of stingers and bodies collided with the bear's massive frame.

For the briefest moment, the giant bear hesitated, growling in frustration, but Nimue could feel the power of the swarm pushing back against the predator.

In that moment of panic, Nimue's mind snapped back to reality.

"Right... I'm really not a dragon anymore... I'm not an apex predator," uttered Nimue.

But now it wasn't due to helplessness. Her thoughts were sharp and focused now, each buzz of the swarm growing clearer.

With a deep unhurried breath, she declared resolutely.

"Henceforth I'm a queen! The queen of these brave little things…"

The look in her eyes now became determined and her small wings fluttered tentatively.

Nimue felt a strange, unexpected surge of authority and inexplicable might ringing through her core!

The bees were her subjects, and though her body was small and fragile, her position was not. She had the power to command. The swarm would follow her and protect her!

"Gwarrrghh!"

The bear's roar shattered the stillness, and as it lunged again, Nimue took a deep breath. She steadied herself and raised her blade-like stinger.

Somehow, it felt no different from wielding her dragon tail.

She sneered and looked at the struggling bear scornfully, "I might not be a dragon, but I wasn't going to be helpless."

The swarm, sensing her resolve, surged forward, a dark cloud of fury and determination, and with the queen bee at the helm, they pushed back against the great red bear.

And, for the first time since her transmigration, Nimue felt a flicker of something familiar—the faintest echo of her old self, the dragon that had been unstoppable.

Baddum!

Baddum!

The loud thumping sound, almost deafening, rendered Nimue momentarily stunned.

She unconsciously clasp her chest in utter shock and disbelief.

"My... My dragon heart?!"

She couldn't believe it but there was no mistaking it either.

A dragon heart is beating inside this little queen bee's fragile body!

"But how?"

Did it came with her despite the change of body or was it innate to this queen bee's body?

"This makes no sense at all!"

Despite her untold questions, it wasn't the right time for her to be thinking about it. Nimue held her breath and pushed her curiosity at the back of her head.

Right now, she must stop that bear at all cost before it tears everyone!

Though faint and just a meager fraction compared to her original self, she could sense a thread of her energy vein settling inside her heart.

---

"Damn you pesky little insects! Stop being a nuisance and just die already."

The bear roared and clawed the bees, the size of his forearm, lunging fiercely at him.

Seeing her bees die one after another, Nimue's heart clenched in agony like she's being torn to pieces. She gritted her teeth and glared at the hateful beast.

"Is it really a futile struggle? The bear's fur is too thick for the bees to penetrate. I have to think of a plan quickly. Otherwise, we'll all die in that madman's hands."

Suddenly, an idea sparked in her mind, a dangerous thought that flickered through the haze of fear. She had once seen her grandfather in battle, and she had heard whispers of his ability to control even the most savage beasts.

Could this... could she do something like that now?

But with the little mana this bee form can hold, what can she do to subdued him?

"Think Nimue, think! You cannot go down like this! Even if you're a sucker drunkard, you're still a noble dragon with pride... Wait! That's right... That could do it!" squealed the girl who had received a sudden flash of insight.

With a reckless, unthinking determination, she planted her tiny hands against the bear's massive, furry cheek and... did the unthinkable.

The bear froze in mid-leap, its eyes widening in horror.

How could he not when a dumb bee is taking advantage of his innocent lips!

That right, that brazen queen bee was kissing him!

But what made his huge body tremble and almost lose his sanity was the fact that he could feel her tongue inside his mouth!

'Aaaahhh!!! I've been Just kill me already,' he could only screamed internally as if he just been defiled and lost his lost his precious cherry to a worm.

But this time, it wasn't just him who was dumbfounded.

"Bzztt... Bzzztt?!!"

A confused and bewildered buzzing sound reverberated, creating an uproar among the little bees who had witnessed a crazy spectacle that could be written down in their history.

"Buzz! My eyes! My innocent eyes!"

"I'm not just seeing things, right? Our new queen is... She... Did she knock herself hard and lose her intelligence? She's kissing that... that smelly bear in broad daylight!"

"No. This can't be real! Does the queen want to mate with that hairy beast?!"

Everyone looked at each other with a sordid expression with one thing on their mind.

This is so wrong!
