[ Chapter V (5): "THE LABORO LIGHT" ]
The first floor is the basic Crew Quarters for guests. The second floor is the Mess Hall, and subsequent Kitchen of the Laboro Light. The third floor is the Gym, a room for exercise with contraption that Felix has never seen before.
The fourth floor is the Medical Bay, futuristic yet normal-looking aid that is filled to the brim with rusty-looking med-bots in the shape of the heart. The fifth and sixth floor being the Engineering Deck filled to the brim with wench-wielding robots.
The seventh floor was the Armory most place not being accessible to him, weapons visible, but untouchable, he tried once in touching a nearby wrench — bots immediately kept flying to him and repeated the scenario that happened hours ago.
The eighth floor was a huge Lounge which has a huge casino in it, floating bots in butler suits floating and floating, some in waiter uniform, all of which don't care about him.
The ninth, and tenth floor is the Cargo Hold, contains both food, necessities, and auxiliary items visible were placed in this floor alone. Occasionally he could see chef bots flying and carrying boxes of items to the second floor.
The eleventh floor is the Navigation Deck, advanced astrogation maps, broken subspace communicators, and star charts could be seen on this floor. Being quite short compared to the other floors.
The twelve floor had a full-on Communication Deck containing advanced sci-fi gadgets that Felix had never seen before, all seemingly inaccessible to him as all was broken. Moving along.
The thirteenth floor had a Sensor Deck, threat detection system, scanners, and long-range sensors. He tinkered inside the floor for an hour before losing interest, no planet, no star, nothing interesting was visible.
The fourteenth floor had a Science Lab, basic flask, basic necessities, and not-so advance technology was visible to him. No bots like the other floors were visible here, dust having gathered in some places even though the space ship was overabundant in self-functioning bots.
The fifteenth floor had a Crew Quarter, this for apparently officers, yet, even though all-over the space ship seemingly had a human touch in it, but it was abandoned.
The remains he could see all over the floors he had been through being books, posters, and well-hidden magazines in some places other than those some trinkets could be seen occasionally, then none, like this space ship was abandoned for a reason unknown to him for now.
Yet that hypothesis seems to be incorrect, why would the ship then be in orbit. And why in hell would it have valuable robots in it, and still be in function up to this day... Feliz doesn't know the answer, so, he continued on moving.
The sixteenth floor offered a very relaxing Garden filled with trees, plants, and a pond, even a miniscure gold course was visible to him. Relaxing in it, Felix began to ponder on why he couldn't see a bug, a fly, or even an ant no matter how long he searched in the garden. Nonetheless he kept on moving.
[ "Okay, this is the mother load..." ] Looking at the seventeenth floor of the Laboro Light, Felix noticed a small, but huge enough Library that brings any library he knows off to shame.
In glee and excitement, Felix spent what felt like a day, or two, or four inside this said room, as he winders away reading books both fictional and non-fictional. Both relating to a forbidden love story between a goblin, and a human, and to stories about the Imperium of Mankind.
Which felt like propaganda, but, was too entertaining for him to let go, as Felix only occasionally comes down to the second floor when he felt hunger striking at him at a go.
This annoyed him as he created a system of filling himself to the brim, before ultimately going back on studying. One that he didn't know how long lasted, but books especially one containing knowledge that can cure his thirst for the new universe he found himself in was worth it.
He probably spend as long as a week, with no calendar or watch at hand, Felix wasn't able to identify the time, or even the timeline of where he is at the Warhammer 40,000 Univ. he found himself in.
Nonetheless, he seems to build a time frame using those books of his, which is enough for him. After spending a week probably, he remembered the mission and begrudgingly moved on to the upper floors.
The eighteenth floor was another Mess Hall, this one much more exquisite, yet lacking in bots. Felix looked around before ultimately leaving, uninterested in the golden-like room painted with dust all-over.
The nineteenth floor had all-over in another game room, this one lacking bots, but not technology as Felix was able to make out arcades, and futuristic toys in it. Looking like a... Day Care of some sorts for children. That was how Felix described it.
The twentieth floor up to the twenty-ninth floor all had the same button in them through the elevator panel. Clicking it in confusion, Felix was immediately met with Decks having futuristic weapons in them, blue prints, maps, and a war room.
Stepping foot in the said floor, Felix was immediately met with a blaring alarm before ultimately being surrounded by box squared bots all immediately pulling a gun, or any weapon on him.
In annoyance, Felix wasn't able to do a thing but instead step back to the elevator, the alarm and hostility of the bots disappearing not soon after, being ultimately going back on specially patrolling the upper floors.
The thirtieth floor up to the thirty-ninth floor then had the same button, clicking it he was met with a maze of Crew Quarters, this floor thankfully accessible to him. Other than the locked rooms, a giant bathhouse, and other facilities, nothing seems to have piqued his interest before ultimately moving forward.
The fourtieth floor up to the fourthy-ninth floor had a massive Engine Room in it, this one being filled to the brim with work bots that either has a wrench in hand, or doing nothing except float all-over the floors.
How big is this fucking place? A question he wanted answered, so he continued moving forward.
The fiftieth floor up to the fiftie-ninth floor had a damn Robot Factory in it, alongside Maintenance Bays for the bot. Opening it, Felix's nostrils were immediately met with oil, forge, and iron smell, before his eyes were hundreds of bots floating, all in different shapes...
Yeah continue on. He clicked on the second last button, the button leading to the sixtieth floor up to the sixty-fifth floor, this one being another Storage, but for bigger tech, primarily having huge reserves in the case of needing one as replacement.
After exploring it, he moved on, not finding much interest on the floor, he then sat by the elevator, inside, seemingly tired from overexerting himself before ultimately clicking the last button — the sixty-six floor, the highest floor the Laboro Light could offer.
Having probably spent half a month inside this ship, Felix was feeling tired with the back and forth of exploring this "small" ship and then going to the second floor for dinner.
Sometimes he would even wonder if this is worth it, would he be able to go back home after completing the mission, or would the System over lord above give him another brutal one — he doesn't know. Guess he'll have to find out in a minute or two.
