The Genius Mage Was Reincarnated Into A Swordsman Family

Chapter 95

Klaus felt the weight of his words as he stepped down from the podium. His small speech, though brief, carried a sense of gravity that he hadn't expected. Greed, the mischievous spirit bound to him, had dared him to make such a bold statement, promising to teach him a powerful footwork technique in return. Klaus had risen to the challenge, and now, as he returned to his place among the trainees, he felt a strange mixture of pride and anticipation.

Rick, their instructor, could no longer contain his excitement. He strode over to Klaus, placing a hand on his shoulder, his voice booming with enthusiasm. "Yes, he is right! He is a mountain you must all strive to climb. You're all around the same age as him, but Klaus has already reached the level of a Swordmaster. Can you even imagine how impressive that is? The term 'genius' feels inadequate to describe his achievement."

The trainees stared at Klaus with a mixture of awe and disbelief. The gravity of Rick's words began to sink in, and they realized they were standing alongside someone who was already a legend in the making. Applause erupted, though it was tinged with a sense of competitiveness. For many, Klaus was now the benchmark they had to surpass. Among the sea of clapping hands and admiring gazes, two trainees, Alex and Nicholas, remained calm, their expressions unreadable as they assessed the new challenge before them.

The commotion eventually settled, and Rick signaled the start of their official training. The trainees braced themselves, knowing that their lives were about to change drastically. The first task was a full-speed sprint that lasted for two grueling hours. The training ground was vast, its perimeter stretching far beyond what the eye could see. Klaus felt the wind whipping against his face as he pushed his body to its limits, his feet pounding against the earth with a rhythmic intensity. The other trainees followed, their breaths heavy, their muscles burning as they tried to keep up.

Next came the sword drills. For two hours, they swung their swords relentlessly, each trainee working to perfect their form. The sound of blades slicing through the air echoed across the training ground. Klaus's movements were precise, each swing a testament to the control he had gained over his new body. He felt the energy coursing through him, his mind and body in perfect harmony. Around him, the other trainees struggled to maintain their pace, their arms growing heavy with fatigue.

When the sword drills ended, Rick and Erina instructed the trainees to carry massive boulders on their backs while performing slow, deliberate push-ups. The boulders were heavy, their rough surfaces digging into the trainees' shoulders as they struggled to complete each push-up. Klaus felt the strain on his muscles, but there was a strange satisfaction in the challenge. He could feel his strength increasing with each repetition, his body adapting to the intense physical demands.

After the physical training concluded, the trainees were divided into two groups. Klaus was placed under Rick's guidance, while the others were assigned to Erina. Rick began by teaching them the basics of swordsmanship and footwork techniques. The sessions were intense, each movement dissected and corrected until it was performed with precision. Rick's voice was firm but encouraging, pushing the trainees to master the fundamentals.

Among all the trainees, Alex stood out. His execution of the techniques was flawless, his movements sharp and deliberate. Klaus observed him with interest, recognizing the same dedication to perfection that he himself possessed. Nicholas, too, showed promise, his movements smooth and controlled, though not as precise as Alex's. The other trainees struggled to keep up, their frustration evident as they tried to emulate the more advanced techniques.

As the day progressed, the trainees engaged in small spars with their instructors. Klaus faced off against Rick, the two exchanging blows in a rapid succession of strikes and parries. Rick's attacks were powerful, each strike intended to test Klaus's reflexes and decision-making. Klaus responded with a calm focus, his movements fluid as he countered Rick's attacks. The sparring match was intense, both combatants pushing each other to their limits. Klaus could feel the sweat dripping down his face, his heart pounding with exertion, but he relished the challenge.

After the sparring sessions, the trainees were led to a massive gym where they underwent an intense workout. The gym was filled with various training equipment designed to push their physical limits. Weights were lifted, battle ropes were slammed, and agility drills tested their speed and coordination. Klaus could feel his muscles burning, his body pushed to the edge of exhaustion, but he pressed on, driven by a determination to improve.

The final task of the day was a full sprint jog, a grueling run that lasted until the sun began to dip below the horizon. The sky turned shades of orange and pink as the trainees raced against time, their legs heavy with fatigue. Klaus could feel the lactic acid building up in his muscles, but he pushed through the pain, his focus unwavering. The other trainees struggled to keep up, their breaths ragged as they fought to maintain their pace.

When the sun finally set, signaling the end of the day's training, the trainees were sent to the baths to clean themselves up. The warm water soothed their aching muscles, washing away the sweat and grime from the day's exertion. Afterward, they gathered in the canteen, where a hearty meal awaited them. The trainees ate in near silence, their exhaustion evident in their slow movements. Klaus, too, felt the fatigue setting in, but there was a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he had pushed himself to the limit.

With their bellies full, the trainees were sent to their respective rooms to rest. The first day of training had been brutal, but it was only the beginning. For the next half-month, the same routine repeated itself, each day blending into the next as the trainees worked to improve their skills and endurance. Klaus's reputation as a Swordmaster continued to grow, and the other trainees began to see him as both a challenge and an inspiration.

Half a month into the training, just as the trainees had settled into their routine, a sudden visitor arrived at the training ground. The news spread quickly among the trainees, whispers and rumors circulating as they speculated on the identity of the visitor. Klaus, too, was curious, wondering who could be important enough to disrupt their intense training schedule.

The visitor's arrival would mark the beginning of a new chapter in their training, one that would test not just their physical abilities, but their mental and emotional strength as well.
