Chapter 158
Chapter 158
“Kim Ho-yoon. Is this better? Or the one below?”
“I like both.”
“Can you answer a bit more sincerely?”
Honestly, I didn’t care. Any movie would be fine.
To be honest, it didn’t matter at all.
‘I’d rather look at your face than watch a movie.’
It was too embarrassing to say it outright, so I swallowed my words.
I was secretly stealing glances at Hanna’s profile as she eagerly looked at the movie posters.
“…Hey. Just look openly. You’re going to burn a hole in my face.”
“Ahem.”
I cleared my throat at Hanna’s muttering.
‘Annoying girl.’
She always caught on quickly.
Well… that was one of the things I liked about her.
“Then let’s just watch this one.”
“Okay.”
“We have two hours left. Shall we go to a café first?”
“Okay.”
“Can’t you say anything other than ‘okay’?”
“Okay. I like you, Jung Hanna.”
“…Forget it. I won’t say anything.”
Hanna awkwardly looked away.
Her flustered eyes were so adorable that I barely held back a smile.
‘Ah… She’s really so cute.’
I couldn’t believe she was my girlfriend.
Even though it had been several months since we started dating, it still felt unreal. It was awkward, too.
To be honest, expressing affection to a best friend I had known since kindergarten wasn’t easy.
But at moments like this, Hanna was so clumsy that I tried to express my feelings more intentionally.
“Jung Hanna, give me your bag. I’ll carry it.”
“No, it’s not that heavy.”
“You carry so many textbooks, how can it not be heavy? Just give it to me.”
“It’s really fine.”
Hanna resisted giving me her bag.
“Oh, it’s because if a guy carries a girl’s bag, it looks too much like we’re a couple.”
“…We are a couple.”
I chuckled in disbelief.
Slightly annoyed, I tightened my grip on the bag.
Maybe the timing was off, because not only the bag but Hanna followed my pull.
“…!”
Our faces suddenly got closer, and we both froze.
At the same time, her clear cheeks caught my eye.
Without thinking, I leaned in.
Smooch.
“…”
“…”
A silence as if time had stopped followed.
Even though I had done it, I couldn’t believe it. Did I just…?
Hanna was the first to speak.
“You, you crazy bastard.”
“…Sorry. I was just too surprised.”
“Too surprised so you kissed me? Does that make any sense?”
No… It didn’t make sense.
But it really was an involuntary action.
I awkwardly apologized, looking at Hanna’s flushed face.
“Did it upset you? I’m really sorry, I did it without thinking.”
“…It’s fine. Let’s just go to the café.”
As Hanna packed her bag with her head down, I spoke cautiously.
“Hanna, I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to. Are you very upset?”
Hanna remained silent.
‘No way, she won’t break up with me over this, right?’
I became anxious. I bit my lip unconsciously, about to apologize again, when Hanna lifted her head.
“Hey. I like you too.”
“…What?”
“I said I like you… Ah! I told you before, didn’t I? That I like you. That’s why we’re dating. Couples can kiss, right? Stop apologizing so much.”
She told me to stop apologizing, saying that I was making her feel weird because I seemed too sorry.
I stared blankly at her chattering face and asked,
“Then can I do it one more time?”
“…Do you think you can?”
“Why not?”
“You crazy bastard. We’re outside. In public.”
“Then at home― Ow! Why did you hit me?”
“Shut up and let’s just go to the café. Okay?”
Hanna’s face was as red as if it would explode any moment as she slapped my back hard.
Seeing that, I couldn’t help but laugh.
I put my arm around her shoulders as if hugging her from behind as she walked briskly like a commander.
“I’ll buy you an iced chocolate. Let’s go quickly.”
“I’m older than you.”
“It’s said that handsome guys are always called oppa.”
“Ha, have all the handsome guys died?”
“Yes. All except your boyfriend.”
When I whispered in her ear to not cheat on me, Hanna pushed me away in disgust.
We bantered like that until we arrived at the café.
It was a happy moment that I wished would never end.
“Cut!”
The director’s voice brought me back to reality.
I blinked a few times before raising my hand.
I wiped Han Se-young’s cheek with my hand. Thankfully, there was no spit.
“Yeon-jae, how was it? Your first kiss?”
When I was Kim Ho-yoon, I had felt dazed.
Now, I didn’t feel much.
As I just shrugged, Han Se-young grumbled that I was no fun.
After that, we shot the same scene from several different angles.
I brought my lips to Han Se-young’s cheek about four times, but honestly, it was a stretch to call it a kiss.
It was more of a light touch, and the smooching sound would be added in post-production.
So, I really didn’t feel anything.
‘I think I felt more emotions when I filmed the scene in Twins where the hammer touched my hand.’
Thinking that, I finished the filming without any issues.
As I greeted the staff, Han Se-young, who had changed her clothes, approached me.
“I’m going to watch Twins tonight.”
“Really? Thanks.”
“The reactions are amazing. I didn’t want any spoilers, so I turned it off quickly, but it kept popping up, so I couldn’t avoid it.”
She also belatedly congratulated me on winning the Best Actor award.
She boasted that her eyes hadn’t been wrong, making me laugh softly.
“I enjoyed today’s filming. Bye, noona.”
“Me too. Keep in touch.”
Han Se-young left coolly.
Her indifferent back was so different from Jung Hanna’s that I couldn’t help but laugh.

[Review] ‘Twins’: Proving the Existence of Twins with Identical Faces Alone Is Not Enough.
Director Yoon Kang-yeon’s films have always been like pieces shrouded in mist. To truly savor them, one must meticulously examine each scene as if ruminating on a poem. His films always approached like poetry.
However, his new film ‘Twins’ is more like a novel than a poem. The film, which unfolds from the perspectives of two protagonists, follows a relatively clear storyline. Gone are the ambiguous messages, replaced by scenes that anyone can clearly understand.
This change is evident from the title itself. ‘Twins,’ a blatant message. There are no scenes in the film that ambiguously suggest whether Kang Tae-il and Lee Jin-woo are twins, nor are there ambiguous lines or hidden twists.
Yet, there are scenes where the clarified dialogue captures more nuanced meanings. One such example is Kim Jin-ho (played by Sung Lee-jun)’s line, “Anyway, you live in an orphanage. Honestly, it’s not a normal environment.”
Kang Tae-il and Lee Jin-woo have identical faces that could be mistaken for doppelgängers. Yet, no one around them doubts that they could be twins. Or, more precisely, they don’t even make an effort to consider it.
At first, I thought it was a lack of plausibility. Seriously, they look so identical, but no one suspects they’re twins? Especially since one is from an orphanage? It seemed too starkly contrasted with the excessive realism emphasized in Director Yoon’s previous works. It wasn’t until later that I realized.
Kim Jin-ho is not too stupid to make a logical deduction. Anyone could easily think of such a hypothesis with a bit of thought, yet he never doubts. He merely ‘chooses’ to say, “Your environment is not normal.”
In this scene, the director’s intent becomes clear. It’s to express, through clear and certain dialogue, that Kang Tae-il isn’t even worth such a deduction.
Even with the same face, as long as Kang Tae-il is dressed in ragged clothes and lounging by the riverbank, the two can never be twins. This is the modern view we have towards twin siblings. Despite having identical faces, our lives treat them differently based on their environment. It’s a bitter truth.
However, on the other hand, it’s also a relief. Viewers of this film can now ‘choose.’ Whether to live seeing things as they appear like Kim Jin-ho or to face the hidden meanings within.
[Title: Everyone who watched Twins, come in (Spoilers ahead)]
Go back and rewatch the key points, it’s a real tearjerker ㅠㅠ
Kang Tae-il… Wishing to stay with his brothers forever was too much, wasn’t it?
This is too much for us fans….
Don’t give us so much to overindulge in ㅠㅠ
—Am I the only one more touched by Lee Jin-woo? His wish was ‘to get revenge’… damn… How much must a kid have suffered ㅠㅠ
└Right, at least Tae-il was happy in the end. Jin-woo suffered all his life and then died…
—What’s up with the comment above? Jin-woo didn’t die;; It was an open ending.
└But even if he didn’t drown there, it didn’t seem like he’d live happily.
└Shut up, what do you know?

Guys, emergency!!!
[Article] Goodbye, My Summer Season 2 confirmed to feature cameo appearances by Lee Yeon-jae and Han Se-young
└OMG, awesome!!! I have to watch the first episode live
└Wow, I love it ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
yeonjae_day @yeonjae_day
No, seriously, guys, it’s a real emergency;;; There’s a kissing scene in Bambi, this is crazy
└???? No way, my world just collapsed
└No, Bambi, my heart is breaking…
[Title: Does anyone understand this complicated feeling?]
I’m 27 years old… Our Bambi is now a blooming 15…
I have no romantic feelings (even as a joke, I consider it a crime, I’m serious), I really just like Yeon-jae as an actor!
But… why do I feel so weird hearing about a kissing scene… lol
Is this what it feels like when your son says he has a girlfriend?
—No, it’s not like hearing your son is dating, it’s like discovering him kissing his girlfriend in his room.
└(Facepalm) Right…. That’s exactly the feeling… lol It’s not jealousy, but it’s just weird.
—If you liked Bambi since he was in elementary school, it’s inevitable to feel that way. Back then, he was obviously just a kid.
└But isn’t he still a kid? He’s still in middle school, and he’s already filming a kissing scene?
[Title: Guys, let’s all calm down as a group]
Of course, I was shaking earlier too… heh
But after reading what Bambi posted, I calmed down immediately.
Journalists need to clearly state if it’s a cheek kissㅡㅡ I thought he was doing a full kiss at 15 and freaked out.
Anyway, the fact that it’s a cheek kiss calmed me down. The fact that Yeon-jae posted right away also reassured me.
Everyone, calm down, okay?
—No, I was seriously shocked when a journalist titled it ‘first kiss’ㅠㅠ I screamed because our Bambi is still a kid! What first kiss!
—Yeah, the journalists overreacted, so that’s part of why we were surprised…. I’m so grateful Yeon-jae posted quickly ㅠㅠ
└But wasn’t Bambi’s tone hilariousㅋㅋ It was his first skinship with someone of the opposite sex, but reading his post felt like he kissed an inanimate object.
└Rightㅋㅋㅋ I would show more affection kissing my hamster ㅠㅠ
└But honestly, his tone made me feel at ease…^^ I totally support Ho-yoon & Hanna’s relationship, but I think Bambi is too young to date…. No… Bambi’s happiness is more important…. No… but don’t date yet…. Oh, what do I really feel…?
Lee Yeon-jae’s fans were busy absorbing the flood of content.
Of course, this was limited to Lee Yeon-jae’s fans. Those who didn’t care about him or the movie remained indifferent.
But even these people couldn’t ignore the massive news that broke.
For the first time ever, Director Yoon Kang-yeon had posted a message himself.
A man who had never used social media before, just posting something was shocking enough, but the content was even more surprising.
The first sentence began like this:
‘When I first met Yeon-jae, I tested him with the following question.’
Thus.
The internet went wild.
