The female supporting character, yet a charmer to everyone

Chapter 23 - Post-apocalyptic Literature 04

The little zombie is wearing grey and blue denim back trousers. Its skin is white and soft. The gold bracelet on its wrist catches the eye. I can see that the original family is good and should be well raised.

He had thin arms and legs, and looked a little threatening.

Lu Mingzhang let go of his hand, and the crowd, suddenly alert, wanted to raise their weapons again, but he did not care. He spoke quietly and asked, ‘Do you understand what I’m saying?’

Yu Huan opened her mouth, but she couldn’t speak.

With the little patience he had left, the man pointed his index finger downwards and swung it from side to side, teaching her, ‘Nod your head, or shake it.’

Yu Huan nodded her head, her dark hair falling over her face.

‘She’s still conscious!’

‘She’s infected, but she can still listen, which is really rare.’

‘She’s not like those zombies, so do we still have to beat her to death?’

Yu Huan looked at them bravely and quietly, and felt that they were all fierce and scary.

They were hesitant to kill her.

The one in front of her, who looked like the leader, lifted his thin eyelids and looked at her closely. She felt scared and moved back a step, but he didn’t let go.

The cold-looking leather boots followed her, his long legs pinning her back, blocking her way. She felt trapped and couldn’t think of a way to escape.

He looked relaxed and moved easily, making people think he might be easy to get along with. But those who had seen his eyes knew better.

Those eyes were deep and soulful, with a stern end that could see into a person’s heart at a glance.

They weren’t just casual.

It was just that he didn’t seem to be thinking about anything in particular. He could casually skim off what everyone treasured, not caring.

He was ruthless.

He didn’t know what to think, and his eyebrows went down as he looked at the small zombie in front of him. ‘Bite?’

Yu Huan understood what he meant and was about to shake his head.

But he suddenly reached out his hand, a wide palm with layers of thin, hard calluses, and got it only two centimetres away from Yu Huan’s lips.

It was a clear test.

But whenever she tried to bite someone, the next second she could be beaten up by the weapons of those around her.

Who would bite someone?

Yu Huan thought, but the zombie’s physique allowed her to feel the warmth of a human’s body temperature across those two centimetres, as well as a very attractive smell, like the warm scent of blood and flesh.

It was nice to bite into.

It was better than dried mango, at least.

But her teeth itched. Yu Huan bit into the flesh of her cheek and shrugged her head without really thinking.

The eyes, which were moving around and looking at her, and the bite mark on her cheek, were both on her face.

Her face showed no emotion.

Lu Mingzhang Roach pinched her face hard, his voice low and warning, ‘Since you can control it, behave yourself and put your teeth away.’

‘If you bite anyone, you’ll wait for all your teeth to be pulled out.’

At the end, he curved his lips, and the smile that appeared on his face for a moment was actually somewhat gentle. But this gentleness can be like a knife in one’s throat – if you’re not careful, it can cut through the skin without mercy.

Yu Huan felt a shock.

‘Boss, should we take her back?’ The subordinate asked, feeling unsure.

The man’s narrow eyes looked at the small zombie, who was still looking at him. The zombie’s stupid eyes were big and watery.

‘Get the emergency room’s supplies. Zombies that look unusual are brought back for study.’

He spoke in a light tone, showing indifference.

He felt indifferent about Yu Huan, who was no longer alive. Or maybe it was a life, but he didn’t care.

Research…

‘It’s so scary.’

Yu Huan frowned and complained to the system.

‘Let’s make things up as we go along. Maybe we’ll get a chance to escape at some point.’ The system, unable to interfere, could only offer comfort with its pale words.

After they had cleared out the zombies, the group went their separate ways to gather supplies.

Lu Mingzhang looked down at her and said, ‘Don’t move.’ Then he left.

It wasn’t that he was relieved of her, it was just that she couldn’t run away, no matter what.

“Who is he?”

Yu Huan tried to find the right words to ask.

‘It shouldn’t be important, probably sent by the top management of B City to carry out a mission.’ The system comforted itself with this thought and searched through the script, finally finding a character that could be the answer – ‘Lu Mingzhang’.

‘With a click, System’s sky collapsed.

‘Who is Lu Mingzhang?’ Yu Huan swallowed.

‘Originally the illegitimate son of the Lu family in the capital, after enlisting in the army, he relied on himself to kill his way out, and was reappointed, and the Lu family, who originally didn’t put him in their heart, changed their attitude, and the serious Lu family’s youngest son had to shout out to him as a brother.’

‘He is a person who uses poisonous means to kill and is decisive. More importantly, he does not want to live.’

‘So what…’ Yu Huan asked carefully.

‘So, he is responsible for the arrival of the end times. He is the hidden big boss of this world.’

Yu Huan, who had originally wanted to sneak away, quickly came down honestly.

After they collected the supplies and were ready to leave, they saw that the little zombie was still standing on the same spot, tired.

She was very obedient and wanted to tell everyone that she was really well-behaved.

Lu Mingzhang grunted in a way that was hard to understand and kicked the tip of the little zombie’s shoe, telling her to get up and get on the car.

‘Boss, which car should I let her get into?’ The subordinate poked his head over to ask.

‘My car.’ Lu Mingzhang said.

According to the system, Lu Mingzhang was now openly on the decent side, but in reality, he was just looking for a chance to mess up the world. He didn’t want to live, and he didn’t want to encourage others to live either.

In short, he was the most dangerous person in the world.

Sitting with such a person, Yu Huan was inevitably terrified.

However, sitting in the car, blocking out everything outside, leaving only the driver (who was probably someone from his side) and her (a zombie who couldn’t even speak), Lu Mingzhang took off his mask.

He slightly hooked his lips, towering over her, reached out, picked Yu Huan’s chin, and touched her skin, which had little warmth, and also touched her eyes, as if studying her.

‘Little zombie,’ he said gently, and at the end curved his lower lip, rubbing her hair as if to show he liked it, ‘very good behaviour.’

‘What kind of attitude does he have?’ Yu Huan was shocked and asked the system, ‘You said that he wants whoever he sees to die?’

‘You are different. You are, after all, considered a zombie, the world-destroying killing weapon he made.’ The system said, ‘He seems to think that you were created by him.’

‘What does that mean?’ Yu Huan slowly asked.

‘He thinks of himself as your father.’ The system confirmed this.

Yu Huan froze and stiffly twisted her head.

Lu Mingzhang, who didn’t know what he was thinking, looked at her and said, ‘Good boy’.

As if he really had that taste.

Yu Huan: ………

help.
