The Earth-san Has Leveled Up!

Chapter 3.2

1-3.2. Bulletin Board Arc 《Skill Edition》

[This is] the thread to discuss skills, PART 1 [power?]

1, Anonymous Skill Master

This thread is for discussing skills. For topics about dungeons or karma, please refer to other threads.

The next thread should be created by the person at ≫950.

2, Anonymous Skill Master

>1 Thanks for the thread!

3, Anonymous Skill Master

Wow, that was fast. Thanks, thanks!

Anyone got any cool skills lately?

As for me, I got this: a skill that lets me emit an invisible ray from my hands to make flowers bloom!

4, Anonymous Skill Master

>3 That’s not “wow!” It’s clear you’ve been up to no good, geez.

Oh, by the way, I got a skill that lets me grow tiny flowers at specific locations!

5, Anonymous Skill Master

Wait, wait! The first and second posters on the skill thread both got [Flower] skills?

That’s no good, lol. Let’s aim for something more epic. Oh, and yeah, I also got [Flower].

6, Anonymous Skill Master

You too, huh? Lol. All you [Flower] people should move to the karma thread and look for ways to atone.

By the way, I got [Spear Technique]!

7, Anonymous Skill Master

I got [Dagger Equipped: Small Physical Attack Boost].

Never held anything but a knife or kitchen blade before, though.

8, Anonymous Spearman

I’ve got no connection to spears either.

I’ve played pretend sword fighting, but never once pretended to use a spear in my life.

9, Anonymous Skill Master

So, what’s the [Spear Technique] skill like?

10, Anonymous Spearman

It seems I can use a special move called [Dash Thrust].

11, Anonymous Skill Master

Details, please.

12, Anonymous Spearman

It looks like you can charge forward and deliver a powerful thrust.

13, Anonymous Skill Master

Like a boost attack?

14, Anonymous Spearman

Probably? It activated on my way back to work, but I haven’t tried it out.

I did notice a laundry pole at a garbage collection site, but I chickened out and didn’t try it, orz.

15, Anonymous Skill Master

Hey, don’t be such a chicken! Go test it out, even if it’s risky!

Come on, muster up your courage—Dash☆Thrust! (`・ω・´)つ==→|Bank

16, Anonymous Skill Master

Don’t aim at a bank (;^ω^) Not testing it was the right call.

17, Anonymous Axe Wielder

Alright, alright! I got [axe techniques]!

I also got a special move to use!

18, Anonymous Skill Master

Oh, did you try it out? What’s it like?

19, Anonymous Axe Wielder

I used my grandpa’s small hatchet, and the firewood exploded, lol.

20, Anonymous Skill Master

What’s that supposed to mean? Super strong?

21, Anonymous Axe Wielder

No idea. I think most living creatures on Earth would be toast, but honestly, you could probably kill them with just a regular hatchet too.

22, Anonymous Skill Master

True. Even a polar bear would go down if it just sat still and let you swing.

Do you understand the mechanics of it, though?

23, Anonymous Axe Wielder

It felt less like I powered up and more like the axe got temporarily imbued with power.

For proof, my movements weren’t enhanced during the special move.

After using the skill, my magic power dropped to zero.

24, Anonymous Skill Master

Huh, so even martial skills involve magic?

25, Anonymous Spearman

By the way, how much magic power do you have? I’ve got 10.

26, Anonymous Axe Wielder

8.

27, Anonymous Skill Master

Everyone’s different. I’m at 7. I’m one of the [Flower] people, though.

28, Anonymous Swift

Sorry, I got [Agility Boost: Small], but my magic power’s only 5.

Anyone else like me?

29, Anonymous Skill Master

“Anonymous Swift” lol.

30, Anonymous Swordsman

I’ve got low magic too—just 3.

My skill is [Swordsman’s Physique].

31, Anonymous Skill Master

[Swordsman’s Physique]…

So, did you actually get a swordsman’s body?

32, Anonymous Swordsman

Nah, still rocking my reliable pizza-body.

33, Anonymous Skill Master

Change your handle, man. That’s false advertising, lol.

I totally thought we had a buff guy here.

34, Anonymous Production Magician

I got [Production Magic]. My magic power’s 9.

35, Anonymous Skill Master

[Production Magic]? Can you, like, create potions from nothing?

36, Anonymous Production Magician

Nope. You manifest [Production Magic] in your hands, and then you manually make stuff. The finished products turn out great, apparently.

37, Anonymous Swift

Interesting. Can you try making something?

38, Anonymous Production Magician

What should I make?

39, Anonymous Swift

How about a rag?

40, Anonymous Production Magician

Roger that!

41, Anonymous Muscle

Hey, I’m here! [Strength Boost: Small], magic power is 6!

42, Anonymous Water Magician

I got [Water Magic], magic power is 8.

43, Anonymous Muscle

( ゜Д゜) Why do you have to steal my thunder right after my intro?

44, Anonymous Skill Master

Whoa, magic?! We need a video!

45, Anonymous Water Magician

Knew you’d ask. Here: [Video: A field-like area where a water ball is launched].

46, Anonymous Skill Master

That’s way too cool!

47, Anonymous Skill Master

Ahhhh! [Video: A tiny Flower blooming on a futon].

48, Anonymous Skill Master

No, wait, that’s actually amazing in its own way.

49, Anonymous Skill Master

Alright, let’s start analyzing the relationship between skills and initial magic power.

Make sure to report both when you share!

Oh, and I’m 8 with a [Flower] skill.

50, Anonymous Skill Master

Flower people seem to have higher magic power, huh? Why’s that?

《Continues in PART 2》

680, Anonymous Water Magician

Summary so far:

――――――――――

Combat Skills: Magic Power 7–10

Special move available, uses 8 magic power.

Those with magic power 7 can’t use it.

Physical Boost Skills: Magic Power 3–6

Names like [〇〇 Boost: Small] directly reflect the effect.

Swift visibly moves lighter now.

Magic Skills: Magic Power 8–10

Attribute-based magic. Costs 5 magic power per use.

I can launch water balls and create water.

Earth Magic and Production Magic also discovered, working similarly.

Growth Skills: Magic Power 3–6

Examples: [Swordsman’s Physique], [Magician’s Insight].

Training optimizes your body for the associated role.

No immediate effect—current swordsman is still pizza-bodied.

Technique Skills: Magic Power 5–8

Examples: [Sword Techniques], [Craftsman’s Dexterity].

These seem to improve techniques rather than physical form.

The extent of the immediate effect is unclear.

Special Skills: Magic Power ~7?

Example: [Dagger Equipped: Small Physical Attack Boost].

Likely literal in effect. Limited data on magic power.

[Flower]: Magic Power 7–10

Held by those with negative karma.

Can make flowers bloom on soil or personal belongings.

Cannot affect living things or others’ items.

But might work on land owned by others.

Note: Magic power stats are based on limited samples. Accuracy not guaranteed.

681, Anonymous Agility

>680 Thanks for the summary ^^) _旦~~

682, Anonymous Spear User

Looking at it this way, do people with enhancement or growth skills tend to have less mana?

683, Anonymous Water Magician

Mind if I share my theory? It’s purely speculative.

684, Anonymous Skill Master

>683 Go ahead.

685, Anonymous Skill Master

Who made you the boss? LOL

686, Anonymous Water Magician

Maybe everyone starts with 7–10 mana, and when you acquire passive skills, your max mana is permanently drained to sustain those enhancements?

687, Anonymous Flower User

Y-yeah! I thought the same thing too!

688, Anonymous Axe User

Makes sense. Enhancement types do get permanent advantages.

689, Anonymous Staff User

So mana is used both for activating active skills and for acquiring skills themselves?

690, Anonymous Earth Magician

Does that mean if I learn enhancement skills, I’ll lose so much mana I won’t be able to cast spells?

691, Anonymous Water Magician

Nothing’s confirmed yet. Better wait for updates. Either way, we don’t even know how to acquire skills yet, so for now, just play with dirt in the garden, Earth Magician.

692, Anonymous Earth Magician

Got it!

693, Anonymous Skill Master

Wow, that’s obedient LOL.

694, Anonymous Appraiser

But seriously, what do people like us without combat skills do? I want to contribute in dungeons somehow.

695, Anonymous Craftsman

>694 You’re lucky. I’m a salaryman! What am I supposed to do with a [Craftsman’s Fingers] skill at this point?

696, Anonymous Flower User

True, appraisers have it better. Depending on dungeon mechanics, you could be in high demand. Craftsmen might get called for long expeditions if they gain recognition.

697, Anonymous Swordsman

I have a theory about starting mana too. I think it’s also used to alleviate chronic illnesses. I used to have a lot of health issues because of my weight, but today, I feel no pain at all.

698, Anonymous Skill Master

Are you serious?

699, Anonymous Swordsman

I’d need an X-ray to be sure, but I think I’m getting better.

700, Anonymous Spear User

That’s great to hear!

701, Anonymous Water Magician

So everyone might’ve started with 10 points, and it’s spent on passive skills, healing illnesses, or maybe other undiscovered things?

702, Anonymous Musclehead

In that case, we’ll have to compare people with the same skillsets. Peeks from behind wall.

703, Anonymous Flower User

Looks like it’s my time to shine.

704, Anonymous Production Magician

Done!

705, Anonymous Agility

We’ve been waiting, Production Magician!

706, Anonymous Axe User

The Production Magician steals the spotlight from the Flower Users.

707, Anonymous Water Magician

Recap: Since the start of the thread, we’ve been asking the Production Magician to test their [Production Magic].

708, Anonymous Flower User

>707 You’re so thorough. Helping others might raise your karma. Taking notes.

709, Anonymous Spear User

You should visit the karma thread and figure out how to repent first.

710, Anonymous Craftsman

So, Production Magician, what did you find out?

711, Anonymous Production Magician

Behold! [Image]

712, Anonymous Spear User

…What is this?

713, Anonymous Flower User

A cursed image?

714, Anonymous Earth Magician

Peeks through fingers

715, Anonymous Production Magician

? It’s just a rag.

716, Anonymous Axe User

Why is your household rag shaped like a ball!?

717, Anonymous Swordsman

OMG LOL.

718, Anonymous Agility

(; ・`д・´)

719, Anonymous Craftsman

Hey, Agility, this one’s on you. It took an hour and a half, and they made trash.

720, Anonymous Agility

S-sorry. But someday, the Production Magician will be famous, right?

721, Anonymous Production Magician

Um, I’m a woman, actually.

722, Anonymous Spear User

All is forgiven.

723, Anonymous Craftsman

Looking closely, it does seem like a nice… rag?

724, Anonymous Appraiser

It’ll make playing baseball during cleanup time easier!

725, Anonymous Flower User

>724 That’s it!

726, Anonymous Water Magician

So, did [Production Magic] make you better at sewing or something?

727, Anonymous Axe User

It’s obvious from the image, but I respect how thorough you are in verifying things (;’∀’).

728, Anonymous Production Magician

Hmm, nope, same as usual!

729, Anonymous Water Magician

I see. Same as usual. Could an appraiser tell the difference between this and a regular rag?

730, Anonymous Agility

At least I can clearly tell it’s round instead of flat.

731, Anonymous Appraiser

My skill’s [Equipment Appraisal], so I probably can’t. This rag… maybe [Item Appraisal]?

732, Anonymous Swordsman

There’s bound to be an item appraiser out there, but they haven’t chimed in yet. What a fun world we live in! I’ll become a legendary swordsman!

733, Anonymous Flower User

>732 Take this opportunity to lose weight first.

734, Anonymous Skill Master

Hey, any reports on magical skills? So far, we’ve only got water and earth magic. Honestly, my [Flower] skill feels more magical than some of these other skills.

735, Anonymous Appraiser

True, [Flower] could’ve made you the ultimate magician in another era.

736, Anonymous Fusionist

Guys, guess what! My skill is [Weapon Fusion Enhancement]! Oh, and my mana is 9.

737, Anonymous Swordsman

A new skill, huh? What does it do?

738, Anonymous Fusionist

You can use stuff to enhance weapons. When you enhance, the material turns into light and disappears. Here’s a video. [Video: A plastic bottle turns into light and gets absorbed by a kitchen knife]

739, Anonymous Skill Master

Whoa, that’s so cool.

740, Anonymous Water Magician

You enhanced a kitchen knife, but how much stronger did it get?

741, Anonymous Spear User

Yeah, how much stronger?

742, Anonymous Spear User

Sorry, overlapped.

743, Anonymous Fusionist

The skill shows a “strengthening value”, but I’ve been fusing stuff nonstop, and it’s still “1/100.” The sharpness hasn’t changed at all! (;^ω^)

744, Anonymous Flower User

A useless skill?

745, Anonymous Skill Master

At least it’s good for disposing of trash LOL.

746, Anonymous Dagger User

N-n-news! My cat jumped five meters!

747, Anonymous Axe User

I haven’t seen you post in a while, and you drop a bombshell like this, Dagger User.

748, Anonymous Spear User

Are you sure it’s not a lie?

749, Anonymous Dagger User

I’m too scared of karma to lie now! My cat jumped from the yard to the second-story roof in one go.

750, Anonymous Water Magician

I was curious about animals too. Didn’t anyone notice their pets acting strange during the announcement?

751, Anonymous Appraiser

Of course I noticed! I was terrified, thinking a natural disaster was coming.

752, Anonymous Skill Master

Wait, does that mean animals are getting skills too?

753, Anonymous Water Magician

The announcement didn’t specify humans only. It’s possible all living things got skills.

754, Anonymous Flower User

What, am I ranked below dogs and cats?

755, Anonymous Skill Master

>753 Is that safe?

756, Anonymous Water Magician

Not sure. At the very least, we should stay cautious. I’ll report this to the police just in case.

757, Anonymous Flower User

W-w-wait! Let me do it!

758, Anonymous Appraiser

You’re desperate LOL.

759, Anonymous Flower User

Of course I am!

760, Anonymous Spear User

Seriously, go to the karma thread and figure out how to restore your karma.
