Chapter 407: Chapter 405: Alice Delivers a Lunch Box

For a moment, silence filled the slaughterhouse. Then came the sound of people gasping for air.

"Did that really happen in an instant!?"

"Incredible!"

"Is that possible in real life too?!"

The staff exclaimed, clearly astonished. Even Uncle Takeda's eyes flashed with fear.

He had worked in slaughterhouses for decades, but he had never witnessed such frightening knife skills.

"Not only was the pig's neck bone cut cleanly, but its tendons, tail, and even the ribs were perfectly separated. It's astonishing."

"Is this something a human can even do?"

Several workers gathered around, inspecting the carcass in awe. Not only was the spine neatly split, but the pig's trotters and tail had been removed with precision. The meat and bones were separated flawlessly, and even the pig's head was split in two, making it easy to access the brain.

"It seems I underestimated you," Uncle Takeda said, taking a deep breath to calm his racing thoughts. His expression remained composed, though inside, he was shaken. He placed a hand on Sui's shoulder with a smile. "With skills like these, you're clearly not an ordinary student. Even at Totsuki, a place filled with prodigies, you must be famous."

"Haha, it's nothing special," Sui replied modestly.

While Sui's reputation was growing in the academy and among high-end culinary circles, it was no surprise that a place like this hadn't heard of him. After all, they had little interaction with Totsuki students, let alone the elite culinary world.

"I never imagined someone of your talent would end up here. With skills like yours, you could easily become one of the top ten students at Totsuki."

Uncle Takeda's words held a deeper meaning. He had assumed Sui was just an ordinary student trying to earn some extra money. But after seeing Sui's remarkable knife skills, he realized Sui was destined for greater things. Surely, Sui was here to practice and hone his craft, rather than for simple work.

"What? The Elite Ten? Is that really possible?" one of the staff members asked, amazed. The Elite Ten were the top students at Totsuki, and graduates of that group often became industry leaders.

The other workers exchanged glances, their attitudes toward Sui shifting to one of newfound respect.

Even Atong was overjoyed. "Sui, you're amazing! Do you know Erina-sama?"

Sui sighed, feeling speechless. Atong clearly idolized Erina.

"Well, I guess we know each other," Sui replied, thinking about his future with Erina.

"Really? Can you introduce me to her someday?" Atong asked, excitement bubbling up in his voice.

"Let's talk about that after you get admitted to Totsuki," Sui teased.

"I'll give it my all!" Atong nodded, his face full of determination.

Upon hearing that Sui knew Erina, the rest of the workers were equally surprised. They hadn't expected him to be connected to such a famous figure.

Just then, Sui received a text message. It was from Megumi, asking what he was up to. Sui quickly replied with a brief summary of his day.

By the time the morning ended, Sui had used his knife to dismember ten pigs, five sheep, and three cows. At this rate, he estimated it would take a few more days to fully unlock the Nichirin's hidden attributes.

Cinderella had the hidden attribute of dexterity, enhancing one's precision in food preparation. Sui wasn't sure what the Nichirin's hidden attribute would be, but he was confident it wouldn't disappoint.

During the lunch break, everyone gathered in the break room to eat their meals. The strong smell of blood in the slaughterhouse made it difficult to eat nearby.

"Sui, did you bring a lunch box?" Atong asked.

"I forgot to bring one," Sui replied, rubbing his temples. He and Erina had completely overlooked the need for a lunch. If she had remembered, the tsundere would surely have prepared something for him.

"Why don't you eat mine?" Atong offered generously, extending his lunch box.

"That's really kind of you, but I don't want to take your food," Sui said, scratching his head. "You're still growing. I'll just grab something outside."

But before he could leave, a sudden commotion erupted.

"Miss, you can't just walk in here!" someone shouted, trying to stop an intruder.

"Ugh, the smell of blood is overwhelming. I can't stand it here for even a second longer."

"Miss, are you sure you want to come in?"

"I don't have a choice! Erina, that scatterbrain, forgot to prepare a lunch box for Sui. So I had to step in! Otherwise, I'd never set foot in a place like this!"

Hearing those familiar voices, Sui instantly knew who had arrived.

Sure enough, a moment later, Alice, with her sharp, icy eyes, walked into the room, carrying a lunch box.

"Sui, you're here!?" Alice's face lit up when she saw him, and she eagerly ran over.

"Alice, why are you here?" Sui asked, surprised.

"That Erina! She called me in a panic because she realized she forgot to pack you a lunch," Alice explained with a smirk. "As usual, I'm the clever, gentle, and considerate one, aren't I?"

Sui chuckled, realizing Erina had probably called her cousin because she was too busy to do it herself.

"This girl is beautiful, Sui! Is she your girlfriend?" Atong asked, staring at Alice in awe. He had never seen such a stunning girl in person before.

"I had no idea you were so popular with girls!" Uncle Takeda teased, patting Sui on the shoulder. The others joined in, laughing and clearly envious of him.

Alice, who had lived in Northern Europe for most of her life before returning to Japan, was unknown to the workers, who didn't realize she was the second young lady of the Nakiri family.

"Sui, come here. I brought plenty of food!" Alice said cheerfully, unfazed by the slaughterhouse environment. She sat down next to Sui and opened the lunch box, revealing the beautifully prepared meal inside.

The bento was a multi-layered feast, filled with various kinds of sushi, tempura, fruits, and other delicacies. The sight made everyone around her envious, their mouths watering.

"Um, excuse me… is Sui-kun here?" A soft, hesitant voice came from outside the door.
