Utaha clenched her teeth for a long time before finally sighing in relief.

"It's all bruised," Sui muttered under his breath, covering his face.

"Humph! That's your punishment," Utaha declared proudly. She crossed her long legs and kicked her slippers with her dainty feet, looking quite satisfied.

"By the way, senpai, could you lend me a few more of the light novels you bought last time?" Sui asked, remembering something.

"Oh?" Utaha raised an eyebrow in interest. "Do you like reading light novels?"

"Well, sort of," Sui replied, though in reality, he wasn't a huge fan. He would occasionally glance through them, but it was mainly because Erina had taken a liking to them.

Earlier that morning, Sui had caught Erina hiding under the quilt, secretly reading the "Love Metronome" novel he had brought over. When she noticed him watching, she had panicked and quickly hidden the book, much to Sui's amusement.

Now, Sui intended to borrow more books and place them on the table in the bedroom, knowing Erina wouldn't be able to resist reading them secretly.

"Sure, just give me a moment." Utaha nodded, clearly pleased that Sui shared her interests. She quickly trotted off to her room and returned with several light novels.

Sui glanced at her and felt a pang of regret—Utaha had already put on her underwear. He took the novels from her hands, saying, "Thanks, these should be great."

"You're welcome," Utaha smiled, perhaps feeling closer to Sui now that they seemingly shared a hobby. She didn't bring up the previous incident. "I have plenty more, so feel free to borrow them anytime."

"Thanks again," Sui replied with a smile.

Before leaving, he remembered that Erina hadn't yet finished reading "Love Metronome," so he borrowed it again.

As soon as he returned to Erina's bedroom, he found her bent over, rummaging under the bed, her round, plump bottom sticking up in the air.

"Ahem," Sui coughed lightly.

Erina shot up in surprise, her face dusty with a hint of panic. "Oh, Sui, you're back?"

"Yeah," Sui nodded, hiding the borrowed book behind his back. "Looking for something?" he asked.

"Ah, nothing really. I was just, uh, looking for some laundry to do," Erina quickly replied, flustered.

"Is that so?" Sui chuckled to himself. He had a hunch that she was searching for the light novel she hadn't finished earlier.

"Oh, by the way, Sui," Erina added, her tone casual, "I think there was a novel here this morning, but now I can't seem to find it."

"Do you want to read it?" Sui asked with a knowing smile.

"N-No, I don't!" Erina stammered, her face flushing pink. "I just happened to notice it was missing, that's all."

"Really? Well, I've already returned it," Sui said nonchalantly.

"Returned… already?" Erina stuttered, disappointment flickering across her face.

"Yeah. Why?" Sui asked, suppressing a grin.

"Uh, nothing." Erina's voice grew softer, clearly feeling disheartened.

That evening, after dinner, Sui deliberately took out the "Love Metronome" novel.

As soon as she saw the familiar cover, Erina's eyes lit up, though she tried to hide it. "Sui, didn't you say you returned that book?" she asked, her voice tinged with excitement.

"Hmm? Did I?" Sui replied innocently.

Erina bit her lip in frustration. Her teeth ground together, but she was secretly delighted that she could continue reading the novel she had grown attached to.

Sui casually sat on the sofa and began reading, while Erina watched him from the corner of her eye, clearly envious.

"Erina," Sui suddenly called.

"Yes?" Erina looked at him in surprise.

"Could you massage my legs?"

Erina blinked, slightly confused, but in a good mood nonetheless. "Sure," she said, kneeling down and gently tapping his legs.

After a moment, Sui frowned, staring at the book. "Why is the male protagonist acting like this?"

Erina's head snapped up, her golden hair falling across her cheeks. She asked nervously, "What's wrong with the protagonist?"

"Nothing, really," Sui replied, shaking his head before adding, "Why are you so interested?"

"I-I'm not!" Erina blushed, ducking her head in embarrassment as she continued massaging his legs. However, her ears were clearly tuned in, eager to hear more.

A short while later, Sui frowned again. "Huh, the heroine is behaving strangely too."

"What's wrong with the heroine?!" Erina asked anxiously, raising her head once more.

"Nothing," Sui answered casually.

Erina's forehead twitched, realizing he was toying with her.

This back and forth continued until Erina finally caught on to Sui's teasing.

"You're such a jerk!" she growled, clenching her teeth. In a fit of frustration, she suddenly bit down on his thigh.

"Ow!" Sui winced in pain. "Erina, are you a puppy or something?" he grumbled, rubbing the sore spot.

Then, with a mischievous glint in his eye, he added, "It seems like I need to punish you properly."

"P-Punish me? What are you going to do?" Erina asked in a panic, struggling to escape.

However, despite her resistance, Sui soon had her wrapped up like a small, white dumpling.

Late into the night, after Sui had fallen asleep, Erina finally breathed a sigh of relief. Quietly, she took out the unfinished romance novel and began reading it in secret, her eyes glimmering with satisfaction.

Only God knows how much effort it took her to wait for Sui to fall asleep first. Just thinking about it brought tears to her eyes.
