The day I let go

True balance in life is not about maintaining perfection at all times, but about understanding when to hold steady and when to let go. It's about bending with life's storms, finding strength in flexibility, and knowing that breaking often comes when we resist the flow instead of embracing it. Yet, when the balance is broken, woe upon the helpless, for chaos spares no one caught unprepared.

If chaos is ever to come it will be my fault and deep down I know that ! Maybe that was why I snuck out of bed this morning to my dorm .. maybe that is why I'm laying in bed like I didn't have the best night of my life . The girls haven't spoken a word to me and I don't blame then but I wish -

" Why didn't you tell me ?" Stacy's tiny voice breaks through my thoughts

" It wasn't your problem , it's - mine "

" We are friends !! I'm your friend this is the type of thing you say out , you can't do it alone "

" Really ?? And what are you going to do ? Huh ? Motivate me to death ? " Damn it

" She's right Diana " Inéz drops her book down , I move to the middle of the bed , and to no one's surprise they come to join me

"We might not have powers but we can still help you babe " I stay still as they wrap their hands around me

" Okay " I whisper and melt into their embrace .

" Did you finally break your seal ?" Stacy giggles

" My seal ? Really we are calling it that now ?"

" It's more appropriate" Inéz looks away to hide her rosy cheeks

" Well I did ? "

" Ahh how was it tell us everything" Stacy sqeals

" Well it was like heaven made in earth if you know what I mean , then I snuck out of bed this morning... And well " pa I feel it as I heard it ! Stacy smacked my head !

" Why would you do that ??"

" Why would you sneak out of bed "

" Isn't it obvious? It was too good to be true, like a calm before the storm, I have to be ready "

" And you couldn't be ready with him ?" Inéz asks but a knock interrupts us

" Come in " I answer

" Hey ladies !" Ale walks in , he places a kiss on Inéz forehead and slaps our own

" Wow real mature " I mutter as I rub my forehead while Inéz chuckles

" Uhuh .. I came to get you girls , meeting in the library.. Now "

" Okay ! We lock our room door and head to the library

" You don't answer me ! Why can't you be ready with him ?"

" Isn't it obvious Inéz? She thinks it's not his problem" Stacy sighs

" Well It isn't " I snap

" Yh try telling him that , because he is going to be mad at you especially because that's not the real reason "

" What do you mean ? " I turn towards her as we walk

" Think about the real reason before telling him Diana "

" About time you joined us !" I've kinda gotten used to him just appearing on a whim

" Good to see you again Dante " if he's here then Damon won't be far

" Yh yh so why am I here ? " He asks Ramiel who keeps on looking at me

" Something on my face ?" I ask him

" Happiness ! That's whats on your face , looks good on you "

" Dante where on earth is your moron of a brother !" Ale gives and exasperated sigh

" Don't call him that !" I unexpectedly jumped to him defense

" Interesting.. now he's turned my sister against me !! Why do we need him exactly?" He asks Ramiel

" Drop it Alejandro" Rami warns him

" The prodigal son has arrived !! " Dante announces and I feel so bad all of a sudden ! I left him in bed ! He's not gonna like that ....at all , he walks towards us , his eyes on me as he drags the chair beside me and sits

" You just had to sit there ?" Alejandro just wants trouble ! And I don't want to be in middle of it

" Alejandro!!.... " Rami sighs " leave him alone that's not why we are here "

" Why am I here ?" Damon asks

" To get the remaining piece of the puzzle "

" What puzzle?" I ask

" Well for years we have been told the same story of the Rebels , for years we have been fed the same story about our powers ...

" Speak for yourself I was fed Nada !! " I grumbe as I lean back in the chair and take a sip of Ale's coke

" Which is why we want to sneak into Dad's office "

" You wanna what ?" I choke on the coke

" Easy " Damon snaps as he collects the coke and puts it down while rubbing my back in a circular motion

" Breath Diana it's not hard , you have done it before "

" Yh sorry I forgot to breathe " I roll my eyes at him

" No I'm talking about sneaking in to Dad's office princess " Rami reminds me of the time I snuck into his Dad's office to collect his phone for him

" Yh I was 13 ! And I did that because you were miserable without your phone ! " I shrug Damon's hand away from my back because he's playing with the hook of my bra involuntarily I guess or to make me nervous.

" Quit it " I hiss at him but all he does is smirk .

" This shouldn't be a problem for you Kocheshka... He drawls , you are very good at sneaking out of places ." Ouch .

" I sense tension " Ale sings

" Okay so you want me to sneak into his office and get what ? " I ask them

" What book ?" I'm not risking my ass for a book

" Yh our mum once told us the story of the information the book of power holds , it holds the past and gives key to the future " Damon finishes

" How on earth am I supposed to know what that looks like ? And it sounds so mystical and important why does he have it ? "

" I can help with the first question" Damon answers me

" I have a picture of it "

" How on earth do you have it ? I've been trying to acquire the picture for years .... "

" You might be twins but trust me when I say you are quite dumb for a 24 year old guy , Damon's always been the smartest " I watch as Dante fumes from within

" Here it is !" Damon shows the picture on his phone

" Okayyyy" I zoom in to get a better look , it's ancient

" Can you get it princess ?" Rami's eyes soften as he asks me , always looking out for my mental health now I have two mental health monitors although one is mad at me

" She will be fine ! Right Diana ? You can be so stealth when you want to " Okay we can't continue like this

" Give us one moment please " I announce as I drag Damon out , or at least force myself to .

" You are mad at me "

" I'm sorry ! Is that a question?"

" No - No Damon it's a fact , you are mad at me and you should be " I wait for a reply but he just stares at me

" I panicked okay ! I just panicked and I'm sorry "

" Panicked because you regret what happened between us - got it " he turns his back but I drag him back .

" What - .? No of course not Dami ! I do not regret a single second of it... It's not you it's me it's like a habit "

" To panic when things get good ?"

" N- yes - I mean no , Maybe ? "

" Why ?"

" Because I feel like I'm being played , feel like in the next second something happens so in order not to jinx it I left .. and I'm so sorry Dami , so sorry " he stares at me for a while before leaning into me and I don't think as I part my lips

" Always so eager Kocheshka " standing this close I realize this has to be right

" I'm still mad at you so you don't expect me to kiss you "

" I said I'm sorry " I whisper dragging his shirt towards myself

" I know " he whispers back , he steps away from me

" What was that ? Why -" I move closer

" I hate him " Deep breaths Diana , calm breathing as I head back inside like it's going to help !

" Okay so we doing this or not ?" I ask them

" You sure about this ?" Rami asks me but I'm sure

" If you are caught -" I cut him off before he can finish

" I know my way around uncle's heart I'll be fine "

" Okay then .. tonight " Rami announces as he stands up to leave

" Oh noooo you don't" I drag Damon back before he leaves earning me a smug smile from Dante before he leaves

" What ? " Damon snaps

" After what happened between us , you sneak out before I wake up , yes I see reasons with you but I'm still mad at you "

" I know but I've apologized " I wrap my hand around his waist

" If I didn't come today would you have looked for me ?" Luckily he doesn't remove my hands

" Are you lying to me Diana ?"

" You don't have to call me -"

" No No no I'm not lying to you and I am truly sorry " he searches my eyes for something, probably to see if I'm lying

" Never " I shake my head .

" Never " I whisper , he eyes me warily before leaning in to give me what I've been craving , he does something to me that I can't explain ! When he kisses me like this ooh it's crazy

" Ohh " I chuckle as he carries me on top of the table

" I have little patience when it comes to you Kocheshka" he strokes my head

" Is that a good thing ?"

" For me ? Kind of ... for you ? No baby it's not a good thing "

" Uhuh" I reply absentmindly as I take off his shirt

" In a library ?"

" Well it's empty so yh " .

Moments like these somehow makes up for the years where I felt incomplete, were I felt powerless despite the power flowing through my vains but now I feel a different kind of power , one I would never let go , I decide as we move faster till we fall on the table together , or rather the table gave way for us because we are on the floor
