Terra Nova Online : Rise Of The Strongest Player

Chapter 780: MadMan

Kid felt a rollercoaster of emotions unfolding in his belly as he watched Leo rage and flip-out about missing his manual.

At first he hoped that Leo would just assume that he misplaced it and not make a ruckus about it. That he would somehow wait for a few days, before civilly reporting the issue to appropriate authorities, but Kid seemed to have hoped for too much.

As soon as he became sure that the manual was not in his Manor, Leo immediately grabbed his daggers and rushed out of his quarters with the intention to kill, which made Kid's blood pressure drop massively.

He felt light headed and buried his head within his hands, as he saw Leo storm out of his quarters, with the intention to kill anyone he found guilty of messing with him.

"He won't find out…. He won't find out…. He won't find out…" Kid kept assuring himself, as he nervously began to bite his own nails.

However, what unfolded next gave him a moment of hope.

Instead of shouting his name, Leo instead summoned Elandor. The housekeeper for VIP ground 1. Who just like Kid had access to enter Leo's manor.

"Yes! Put all the blame on him…. Interrogate him, nick him and leave a cut. He is your criminal—" Kid hoped, as he saw Leo interrogate Elandor in rage.

However, nothing seemed to come out of it in the end.

After a few tough questions, he hugged Elandor and let him go, turning all his focus to the staff quarters once more, as his decision to acquit Elandor of all crimes, once again made Kid feel sick in his stomach.

"Fuck! Elandor was the perfect scapegoat. If everything went wrong, I could have planted the manual in his quarters and framed him for the crime.

Goddamn it. I wasted a big chance" Kid realized, as he cursed himself for his own stupidity.

He had completely forgotten than Elandor also had access to Leo's quarters and could be used as the perfect scapegoat, squandering a perfect opportunity to prepare a fall guy.

"Alright, what's done is done. I need to calm myself now and act surprised, when he eventually comes up to me.

I cannot mess this up! Or else I'm dead—" Kid realized, as he slapped his own cheeks and prepared his best poker face.

Knowing full well that Leo was on his way to his office, he shut-down all surveillance monitors and made his way to the joint work room, where Raya, Raven and other staff members were performing their daily duties moderating Terra Nova Online.

"Good Evening everyone, how does today's game day look?" He asked upon reaching the work area, as the staff members glanced towards him before submitting a usual report.

Without Leo in the game world, there was nothing groundbreaking that took place, which made the overall report mundane.

All in all, Captain Kid tried his best to appear normal and pretend like nothing out of the usual, however, internally he was sweating buckets, as he knew that Leo could drop in now at any given minute.

************

(A few minutes later)

"CAPTAIN!!! CAPTAIN KID!!!" Leo roared, his voice reverberating through the halls as he stormed toward the workroom.

Two Arc Ship staff members trailed behind him, their faces pale and filled with unease. They tried to calm him, to make him listen to reason, however, their feeble attempts were simply drowned out by Leo's furious strides and fiery gaze.

The heavy doors to the workroom hissed open, and Leo stepped inside, his presence an explosion of energy that immediately silenced the chatter among the staff.

Without missing a beat, he pulled a dagger from his side and slammed it into the metal floor with such force that it embedded itself deep into the plating, the metallic clang echoing sharply through the room.

Everyone froze.

"You!" Leo shouted, pointing a finger that swept across the stunned room. "Someone has stolen my meditation manual, and I need to get it back right now!"

The staff exchanged nervous glances before immediately setting aside their tasks, focusing entirely on addressing Leo's demands.

The tension in the room thickened like smoke as whispers filled the air, each staff member looking more confused than the last.

Raya stepped forward hesitantly, her brow furrowed. "Sir Leo, I don't mean to downplay the seriousness of this, but… stealing a meditation manual is pointless. It's bound to you alone—it's completely useless to anyone else."

"Exactly!" Raven chimed in, his voice firmer and less hesitant. He stepped forward, his sharp eyes meeting Leo's fiery gaze. "And what's more is that threatening the staff and damaging Arc Ship property isn't going to help you. If anything, it could land you in serious trouble."

Leo's head snapped toward Raven, his expression darkening, however, oblivious to Leo's rage, Raven pressed on, undeterred. "This is the real world, Leo—not your game. We work for the Universal Government, not the Uprising or your empire. You might be 'TheBoss' in Terra Nova Online, but here, you're still subject to the laws of the ship. If you keep causing trouble—"

Raven's words were cut short as Leo lunged forward, his speed blinding. In the blink of an eye, his hand wrapped tightly around Raven's neck in a death grip. Raven gasped, clawing at Leo's iron-like fingers, but the pressure didn't ease.

Leo raised another dagger with his free hand, its edge gleaming as he pressed it lightly against Raven's throat. The room collectively recoiled, and even Captain Kid, despite his secret excitement, found himself holding his breath.

Leo leaned in, his voice dropping to a deadly growl. "I'm subject to Universal Laws and will be punished upon landing? Very well, I'll accept that punishment. But unless I find my manual, I'm sparing no one in this room."

His eyes burned with an intensity that sent chills down every spine in the room. "You will all die by my blade," he promised, his tone eerily calm, "and there's nothing you can do to stop me, for I am stronger than all of you."
