Tangled secrets

Velena stared at the city lights from her tiny Apartment Windows ,tightening around the half -empty coffee mug in her hands. Osaka was supposed to be her escape . 5 years had passed since she walked away from her old life-from Russia, from Vladivostok from everything that destroyed her.

But even here, 1000 of miles away, the past wasn't done with her yet.

THE SHADOW OF THE PAST...

"I should be happy that I got away .I should be grateful .But why does it feel like I left one prison just to enter another?"

Velena had survived ,but survival had a cost.

She wasn't some privileged girl anymore. The money she had had brought from Russia was gone, drained over the years. she had lived of it for as long as she could, stretching every yen ,but now there was nothing left.

And the worst part? she had known this moment would come.

She had known there would be a day when she would have to stop running and start facing reality.

Velena had been born into wealth and status in Vladivostok. A name that one's carried power and respect. But money meant nothing when the people around you were Monsters in disguise.

Her father was a gambler ,a drunk ,a man who drowned himself in addictions after her mother died. And the women he married afterward ? she wasn't stepmother - she was a vulture.

Velena had been just a child when her father remarried, hoping for love but receiving nothing but betrayal.

Her father lost everything to his vices .And when the money ran out?

His new wife threw Velena onto the streets like trash.

At 15 she had nothing .no home. no family .no future.

She did whatever it took to survive -washing dishes ,scrubbing floor, taking on job no one else Wanted.
