Chapter 1853: Do not resist.
"Take the three of us and the Sovereigns."
"What…?"
"The three Primordials and three hundred thousand Sovereigns, just take us in. Abandon the rest.
We will be able to survive even if our world is destroyed, and I believe that with our strength, we will not be a burden to you either. You can use us as expendables if you like. You have nothing to lose."
Malcharon spoke, and Nux raised his eyebrow.
"And then what about your people? What do you think would happen to them if you abandon them like this?"
He questioned.
"They will die."
Malcharon's reply was quick, as if he had already considered everything.
"And you will just… let them?"
Nux tilted his head.
"I have no other choice. It doesn't matter if I stay with them or not, they will die either way. I can only protect those I can protect."
Nux turned silent at those words.
Yes, those words were logical. With an entire faction coming after them, a low-level world like them had zero chance to survive. One or even hundreds of Primordials wouldn't be able to do anything.
But…
"What about your family? What about your soldiers' families? Are you going to abandon them all?"
Nux couldn't help but question.
And he wasn't the only one who had this question. The rest of Tandris' soldiers were all staring at their leader with shocked looks on their faces, even the other two leaders were the same.
Malcharon could see that as well. He, however, didn't care about anyone else and simply stared back at Nux, his words as cold as before,
"If they care about their families, they can stay back here and try to protect them. I am not forcing anyone to follow me."
The soldiers' expressions changed when they heard those words. They exchanged uneasy glances, their loyalty to their leader wavering as they heard his words. Yet, none dared to speak and kept their heads down.
"Malcha-"
Inferath even tried to silence him, wanting him to mind his words. Malcharon, however, didn't move his gaze away from Nux and, like an emotionless soldier, he continued,
"I suppose you would want an army that efficiently does what you tell them to, not a bunch of children dwelling in their sorrows because things didn't go their way.
The universe is a cruel place to be in. Death can come to anyone at any time. I wish to avoid that and survive, and to do that, I will do anything I can."
"Why me?"
Nux questioned.
"Although you are weak, there are still many worlds that would be glad to accept a Primordial like you. You can even work as a mercenary, and you would do quite well. Why choose me over all that and give away your freedom?"
"…"
This time, Malcharon remained silent for a few seconds. Then, he glanced at his soldiers, who were still looking at him with disbelief, and then,
"There might be places that will be willing to accept me, but not all of them would take three hundred thousand Sovereigns together with me. If possible, I would like to remain together with them."
A burden of the leader.
Malcharon was forced to sacrifice his people to ensure that some of his people lived. This was the best-case scenario. There were only so many he could protect, especially after they had lost.
And to make such heavy decisions with a straight face, not reflecting his emotions…
The soldiers were now able to understand their leader's thoughts. But then,
"Bullshit."
Nux grinned, his golden eyes shining as he stared at the Nightveil standing in front of him.
"You chose me because you know the faction or the middle-level world above you will come and find you people, especially that middle-level world. Once they find out what happened here, even when they are on the verge of destruction, they would use the last of their manpower to find and kill you people.
Because of that threat, no other force would ever take you in. As for the forces who are strong enough to not worry about such matters, you simply have no use for them.
You have no other choice but me."
Nux's grin widened even further as he said the next words.
"You lied to me."
"…"
Malcharon was silent, his face didn't reflect any emotion.
Suddenly, Nux flew towards Malcharon and the other two Tandris leaders. Their bodies flinched, especially Kaelith's.
Step Step Step
Nux slowly walked towards them. The leaders remained on their knees, and as Nux stared into their eyes, he questioned again,
"So you wish to serve me?"
Nux questioned.
"Yes."
Malcharon nodded, and the other two nodded.
"I have a few rules."
Nux started.
"We will follow everything you say to the dot."
Malcharon nodded.

"Is that so…?"
Nux chuckled.
He looked like a demon toying with his prey.
"First,
My orders are absolute. You are not supposed to question me. Do you understand?"
He spoke as he stared at the three of them, waiting for their answer.
"Yes, we understand."
The three leaders nodded, their heads bowed.
"Let's put that to the test, shall we?"
Then suddenly, Nux extended his hands, and a dense, dark, and cold mist seeped out of his palm, an energy that made even the Primordials tremble.
The black mist moved towards the three Primordials and surrounded their bodies.
"Do not resist."
Nux ordered as the black energy suddenly seeped into the Primordials' bodies.
Their bodies trembled as the cold energy entered their system. It didn't take long for the Primordials to realize that the quality of this man's energy was much lower than what they were expecting.
This man…
He was a Sovereign.
To think a Sovereign dared to act like this in front of them. Inferath was even prepared to burn this being's existence, however, seeing that woman hovering in the air, looking down at them with those crimson eyes, Inferath didn't dare to make a move.
Whoever this man was, he couldn't afford to offend him. So, just like the other two Primordials, he accepted Nux's energy, and that cold energy that seeped into his body gathered at the very center of their core and formed what seemed like a… seed?
"This is the Seed of Death."
Nux's voice was heard.
"Since you people value your lives so much, I thought the best way to control you would be to have power over your death."
Nux stared at the three, and with a cold look on his face,
"Go against my orders or try to harm me or my people once,
And you will die the moment I will it."
