On the rightmost ship stood five key members of the Tiger Pirates:

Heavy Swordsman Loki: Bounty 33 million berries.

Catwoman Duveil: A Zoan user with the Black Cat Fruit, bounty 32 million berries.

Dwarf Hammerman Sik: Bounty 21 million berries.

Fat Fist Fighter Fengji: Bounty 14 million berries.

Black Gunman Jack: Bounty 9.5 million berries.

The total combined bounty of the Tiger Pirates reached an astronomical 166.5 million berries—a level of danger far beyond what the East Blue could handle.

T-Bone, still far from the strength he would gain five years later, could only face enemies with bounties up to 40 million berries. Against Chris and his crew, this was a fight he could not hope to win.

And this wasn't just Chris—this was the entire Tiger Pirates crew bearing down on Senganshima Island.

"I like this Marine base," Chris sneered from the bow of the central ship, licking his lips with bloodthirsty anticipation. His eyes gleamed with murderous intent.

"Marines! Surrender! You're no match for us!"

Chris shouted down to T-Bone, hoping to avoid a battle by forcing a surrender.

"Don't waste your breath! Even if I have to die, I will never let you set foot on this island!"

T-Bone's voice roared with unwavering determination. Retreat was not an option for him.

"Hahaha! Fine, then. Don't blame me for what happens next!"

Chris smirked, his expectations already low. His offer of mercy was merely a formality, a fleeting attempt to crush resistance without effort.

"Advance!"

At Chris's command, a deafening roar erupted from the Tiger Pirates' ships. Pirates howled like ravenous wolves, brandishing their weapons as they prepared to attack.

"Let's go!"

Chris called to Loki and the others before leaping off the ship. A small boat awaited him below, ready to carry him and his crew toward the island.

"Fire the cannons!"

T-Bone barked the order as soon as Chris and his men launched their small craft. Rows of cannons along the island's fortifications erupted with thunderous blasts, firing black cannonballs at the incoming pirates in an attempt to halt their approach.

"Captain! Have we connected to Shirayama's Den Den Mushi yet?"

T-Bone asked a nearby lieutenant without taking his eyes off the battlefield.

"Sir, no response yet. We've been trying, but there's still no answer!"

The lieutenant saluted sharply as he delivered the bad news.

"What's going on? Why is Shirayama unreachable at a time like this?" T-Bone muttered in frustration, his brow furrowing deeply.

Meanwhile, Loki and Duveil sprang into action. As cannonballs streaked through the air, the two leaped into the sky, heading directly toward the incoming barrage.

"Whirlwind!"

Loki roared as he swung his massive sword, unleashing a violent gust of wind that slowed the cannonballs midair.

Seizing the moment, Duveil leaped off Loki's shoulder and dashed toward the stalled projectiles. With swift, precise movements, she slashed at the cannonballs with her claws.

"Lightning Slash!"

A brilliant cross-shaped flash streaked through the sky. In a matter of seconds, every cannonball was shredded into harmless fragments, plummeting into the sea with a splash.

By then, Chris's small boat had already closed the distance, carrying the crew to within one nautical mile of the island.

"Fire!"

Despite the overwhelming pressure, the Marine officer in charge of the defense remained calm, issuing his commands with poise.
