Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 634: Getting More and More Absurd

Lin Shen was completely flabbergasted, thinking, "Has Tie's brain gone bad? Even if his brain's broken, his eyes should still be fine, right? Or is it that he's never looked in a mirror and doesn't know what he looks like? We don't share a single similar trait, how could we possibly be biological brothers?"

However, upon further reflection, Lin Shen thought that given Tie's current half-human, half-metal state, if it were himself, he probably couldn't accept it either. It was understandable that he didn't like looking in mirrors.

"Tie, look, I have single eyelids, and you have double eyelids. My hair and pupils are lighter in color, while yours are darker. Even our nose bridges are different, yours being higher and mine smaller. Not a single facial feature is similar, how could we possibly be biological brothers?" Lin Shen pointed to his own face, trying to remind Tie as gently as possible that they looked nothing alike.

After listening to this, Tie indeed fell into deep thought while gazing at Lin Shen.

Lin Shen let out a slight sigh of relief, by the looks of it, Tie must have understood.

Suddenly, Tie walked up to Lin Shen, placed his hand on his shoulder, and looked at him with an uncommonly tender gaze, "Not inheriting the excellent family genes is not your fault."

"Pfft!" Tian Xin, who was eating fruit and enjoying the show, almost burst out laughing and couldn't stop no matter what, laughing so hard she couldn't straighten up.

Lin Shen was completely dumbfounded. What was all this about? How could it have anything to do with genetic inheritance when there wasn't a single similarity between them? No matter how poor his own genetics might be, they couldn't possibly be entirely different.

"Um, actually, I have two older brothers and an older sister, they all have single eyelids too..." Lin Shen pondered and said.

Tie's pupils shrank, his face a picture of shock.

Seeing this, Lin Shen somewhat regretted speaking out. Tie was eccentric and odd in his ways. If he became angry and disillusioned with reality, might he turn hostile and attack Lin Shen on the spot?

"You mean to say,..." Tie said with a serious face, looking sternly at Lin Shen.

"That's right... it's just as you're thinking..." Lin Shen didn't dare say it out loud, not wanting to provoke Tie any further.

"I have two more brothers and one sister?" Tie said earnestly.

Lin Shen looked at Tie dumbfounded, his mind in turmoil, thinking to himself, "You're focusing on the wrong thing. If you look nothing like us, how could you possibly be our biological brother?"

"I seem to recall a little now. I should have three younger brothers and one older sister. You're the youngest, right?" Tie mused.

"I am indeed the youngest, but you really don't look much like us..." Lin Shen said hesitantly.

"Then there's no mistake, where are the other two brothers and the eldest sister? I want to meet them," Tie stated solemnly, as if he hadn't heard a single word Lin Shen said.

"The eldest sister is here, I'll go get her," said Tian Xin, eager to add to the drama, and ready to fetch Lin Miao.

"Tian Xin, wait," Lin Shen quickly called out to stop her.

They still hadn't figured out why Tie thought himself to be Lin Shen's second brother, Lin Yin. If they pretended now, and later when Tie's mind cleared up, he might think that Lin Shen deceived him, wouldn't that be a mess?

"Tie, you really don't look anything like us, it's very unlikely that you're my second brother," Lin Shen took a deep breath and decided to make things clear.

Tie looked at Lin Shen and said, "Perhaps my appearance has changed a bit, which is why we seem a little different. You say it's not very likely, which means you also can't be sure, so our eldest sister should be able to recognize me. Let's go see her; naturally, it will prove you are my younger brother."

Lin Shen thought it made sense. He couldn't remember what his second brother looked like, but their eldest sister certainly would. Just one look from her, and Tie would probably give up.

With this in mind, Lin Shen was about to say he would go to find their eldest sister, but Tie insisted he should be the one to see her. Without further discussion, he had Tian Xin lead the way for them to go together.

Lin Shen and Wei Wufu could only follow along. Lin Shen really couldn't understand why Tie was so stubborn in thinking that he was Lin Yin.

Lin Miao was in the Kidney Treasure Pill processing factory. The Kidney Treasure Pills had officially gone on sale recently, and through Tian Xun's channels, they were sold to many planets of the Celestial Race, with quite impressive sales. The production couldn't keep up with the sales speed, which caused Lin Miao a great deal of distress. The output of Kidney Treasure Pills was limited; it was really too difficult to cultivate them on a large scale.

Lin Miao, who was inspecting the cultivation garden, saw Lin Shen and the others coming. A smile immediately appeared on her face as she walked towards Lin Shen and his group.

Seeing Tie with Lin Shen and the others was a slight surprise for Lin Miao. She certainly recognized Tie, but she had not been to Paradise Island during this period and was unaware that Tie was there.

Seeing no particular issue as Tie walked with Lin Shen and the others, she knew something must have happened, and they were probably no longer enemies, so she wasn't too worried.

When Tie saw Lin Miao, he didn't wait for Lin Shen to say anything and took the initiative to walk over. Standing in front of Lin Miao, he looked at her and said, "Eldest sister... I am Lin Yin... do you remember me?"

Lin Miao was baffled by Tie's words. Although many years had passed, she still remembered what Lin Yin looked like.

Even if her memory wasn't clear, Tie's appearance was indeed quite different from Lin Yin's; it was impossible for her to mistake him for Lin Yin.

Just as Lin Miao was about to say something, Tie suddenly asked softly, "Eldest sister, is Hua still around?"

Lin Miao, who was just about to say something, suddenly froze. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire

Lin Shen had a severe allergy to cat hair when he was a child, so they couldn't keep cats at home.

Later, Lin Yin brought home a newly weaned kitten, claiming it had saved his life and he wanted to take it home for Lin Miao to take care of.

But because of Lin Shen, the kitten couldn't stay at their house. So, they found a yard outside specifically to keep the kitten, even giving it the name Hua.

This was something only Lin Yin and Lin Miao knew about; even Lin Xiangdong and Lin Zongzheng were unaware.

Seeing that this stranger knew about Hua made Lin Miao feel bewildered, but no matter how she looked at Tie, he just didn't seem like Lin Yin.

"You know about Hua?" Lin Miao asked doubtfully.

"Once when I was out hunting creatures, I heard the cry of a kitten in the bushes. When I turned my head, I saw a little milk cat crawling out of the bushes, and lurking in those bushes was a Seven-Step Gold-Ringed Snake about to ambush me. If it hadn't been for the accidental warning from the milk cat, I might not have survived that attack..." After finishing his story, Tie asked again, "Is Hua still around?"

"It was too old, and it passed away a few years ago. I buried it in the flower bed where it loved to play," Lin Miao said, staring at Tie, momentarily at a loss for words.

This was something that should only be known to Lin Yin and herself. To prevent their brothers from worrying, Lin Yin had specifically instructed her not to tell anyone.
