After sending Lin Wan off, Lin Shen chatted with Ouyang Yudu for a while before they both went home.

Back at Silent Residence, Lin Shen continued to study combined attack techniques.

Recalling his battle with Dou Shi Buddha, Lin Shen's sword and scabbard slowly traced various trajectories in the air.

Dou Shi Buddha's skills were very strong, similar to Tian Buluo's Unity of Heaven and Man and even more aggressive.

Soon Lin Shen realized that this simply wouldn't work. There was no such thing as a perfect technique in the world. To address one flaw with ten techniques would only lead to even more flaws; the more he tried to patch things up, the more flaws would emerge.

Realizing this approach was futile, Lin Shen set down his sword and scabbard and sat in the pavilion thinking about how to solve the problem.

"The heavens don't grant me, so I won't take; the times don't favor me, so I won't wait; people don't help me, so I won't seek help. The gods don't endow me, I will take it myself..."

Unable to find a solution, Lin Shen got up to stretch his muscles, twisting his neck and waist, then looked into the distance and turned his gaze to the "Heaven and Celestial Beings Skill" written on the waterfall and the cliff face.

Suddenly, Lin Shen stood frozen there, as he realized he had made a simple problem complicated.

Both Tian Buluo and Dou Shi Buddha required their opponent to attack first so that they could counter the moves.

But since Lin Shen chose to defend without attacking, it meant that they had to initiate the attack.

That is to say, Lin Shen didn't need to make the first move and wait for them to break it; all he needed to do was wait for them to make the first move, and then just block it.

However, Lin Shen did not answer him. Puzzled, Tian observed the Lin Shen standing in the pavilion for a moment, then suddenly paused.

Tian's gaze grew sharper as he stood opposite Lin Shen and adjusted his stance and momentum, entering the state of Unity of Heaven and Man.

He observed Lin Shen but could not find an opportunity to attack, as if no matter from which position he attacked, he would be blocked.

Even the Unity of Heaven and Man that harmonized with the natural order of the universe couldn't find an opening for a while.

Suddenly, Tian made his move. He thrust out his hand, and the whole world seemed to press towards Lin Shen with that palm.

Lin Shen moved as well, the scabbard in his hand blocking Tian's assault. Tian's palm changed with the motion, and Lin Shen immediately found himself at a disadvantage again.

"Haha, Brother Tian, your defensive strategy is indeed extraordinary, but once you start moving, you still fall within the calculations of my Heaven and Celestial Beings Skill.
