On the other side of the battlefield, Noelle was having a hard time fighting against a warrior class alien by herself.

In addition, she had used a bit too much of her ena to summon a new familiar, which made her weaker. But it all changed the moment her familiars entered the battle.

Noelle swung her blades multiple times, but the alien skillfully blocked it with his leg. It didn't have tentacles or shapeshifting ability, but this alien's strength was unmatched.

Even when Noelle struck him with all her strength, the alien simply kicked that sword and neutralized the attack with pure power. He tried to knock the sword away, but Noelle threw herself back to match the momentum, avoiding the last kick.

When the alien was about to chase her, a demon came from the left.

The alien skillfully spun its body to the left, kicking the demon's sword. However, the demon smiled and gently repelled that kick with his sword.

"You're not hitting hard enough." Murmur smiled.

The alien immediately shifted back his kick and smashed him with a drop kick.

However, Murmur let that attack slide on his sword, smoothly transitioning its path. After that, Murmur leaped forth while striking the alien's left chest.

Purple light flashed on the chest, releasing a massive amount of ena. However, the alien only took a step back, leaving only a scratch. The blood didn't even come out of that wound.

"Grrr." The alien leaped into the air before spinning his body, but Murmur had already disappeared before the alien could kick his head.

Furious, the alien turned to Noelle as well as the army behind her.

It realized that Murmur had no choice but to challenge him head-on if he focused on Noelle and the weak people they had to protect.

Hence, the alien leaped toward her while gathering all his strength in that foot.

Noelle raised her sword, ready to intercept it. As the alien expected, Murmur appeared on Noelle's side.

However, he wouldn't expect Murmur to say, "Because of the incomplete summoning, you should know the gryphon is not the only one missing, but a part of my strength as well. We have to block it together."

Murmur, in the end, was a powerful demon. His strength at his peak was much stronger than his current ability. Unfortunately, the summoning ritual was incomplete. The reason was exactly the same thing they were experiencing right now.

Noelle summoned him to fight a warrior class alien with Flora. That was the only way for her to protect the princess.

Although there was a rift between them, both Noelle and Murmur unleashed their full strength and struck the foot on the same spot as their blades overlapped each other.

The clash between raw strength and ena caused a massive shock wave, which sent tremors to all battlefields.

Murmur smiled while the alien looked shocked. After all, for the first time, Noelle was able to stop his attack. Even though they were together, his strength wasn't something they could handle.

The answer to his confusion was Murmur. The purple glint on his sword showed the flow of ena different from Noelle's.

He utilized ena and swordsmanship to create an elegant fighting style. Deflecting one's attack or decreasing their power was something he required to perfect that swordsmanship. It was him who deflected most of that strength while using Noelle as the support.

After stopping the alien's attack, both of them moved forward.

Noelle's sword burst into flame while Murmur's sword released a flash of purple light. Both of them struck the alien's chest, creating an 'X' combination of red flame and purple light.

The ena exploding from that wound pushed the warrior class alien back, but it wasn't strong enough to actually harm him.

The alien could easily return and attack them, but there was a drum sound ringing on the battlefield, which startled the alien.

If Noelle and Murmur turned back, he could see the horseman of the apocalypse summoning an ethereal army. As he advanced, those soldiers turned into blood-red energy on his sword.

The horse leaped over them as it landed right on the alien's side as the rider struck him with all that power.

The strike produced a loud drum sound, like an army going into a war. No, the strike itself was like a concentrated attack of an army.

And for the first time, a wound appeared on the alien's left chest. The blood spurted.

"!!!" The alien was astounded. He had never thought that he would be injured by such a lowly familiar.

Unlike Murmur, the horse of apocalypse (war) was a high-tier familiar who had sealed his strength. Even then, he had gotten a lot of ena from Noelle, which meant he was stronger than Murmur.

As if not wanting to lose, Murmur said, "I could easily kill that warrior class alien if you complete my summoning. At my peak, this lowly alien is nothing but an ant."

"…" Noelle couldn't answer him at first. She couldn't help but envision the scene where Murmur riding his gryphon struck him together with her new familiar. "If I have a way to fix your summoning, I will do it."

"!!!" Murmur looked shocked. The past Noelle wouldn't have said that. Then again, she had been summoning him a couple of times in the last few days. He realized Noelle had changed.

At the same time, Noelle might know someone who had the answer she was looking for. It was the Fairy Queen Charlotte. That was why she made such a promise.

Murmur smiled. "I'm getting fired up."

Noelle raised his sword. "However, both you and him are my rivals. I will surpass you both in swordsmanship and other areas."

Murmur's smile became even bigger. "In that case, you have to catch up to me first. Are you ready to test it again today?"

"We'll work together with him and stop… no, kill that alien." Noelle squinted her eyes.

There was no need for someone else to come and aid her. They would simply finish this alien first.

This was Noelle's first step to reach her goal.

"So greedy…but I like it."
