Chapter 375 Prepare
"Elder Stone Yee, there's something I don't understand. Since Master Mut knows about the events of those years, why does he let Gen Yun live freely?" Blaze Regret asked, frowning.
"You must understand that there are some things others can do, but Master Mut absolutely cannot, even if it would be much easier for him to do so," Stone Yee sighed in explanation.
Upon hearing this, a sharp glint flashed in Blaze Regret's eyes. It seemed that even an elite force like the Angsana Pavilion had its own deep seated complexities. However, he wasn't concerned with these intricacies. The only thing that mattered to him was ensuring that Gen Yun paid a hundredfold price.
After accepting the remaining rewards, including the enticing Royal Blood Grass, Blaze Regret slowly walked out of the Thousand Stone Hall. He looked up at the gentle sunlight and lazily stretched.
He would find a place to prepare for another month, and then it would be time to head to the Kartis family and put on a public show of strength.
The crimson glow of the setting sun, filtered through the dancing snowflakes, painted the mountains with a warm hue. In the tiny crevices of the rocks, small purple red berries grew, their vibrant colors appearing extremely enticing. These berries served as food for most of the spiritual beasts in the winter forest.
Seated cross legged on a smooth rock, Blaze Regret had his eyes slightly closed, with steady breaths emanating from him. Inside his body, a crystal core was connected to four differently colored threads of light. Spiritual energy was slowly transmitted through these four threads.
Like all towns, Snow Storm City also had mountains and forests of varying sizes. However, the southern wall of this ancient city was entirely made up of a long, dragon like mountain range. Such audacity was truly astonishing, especially knowing that not far from the mountain's base lay the area where spiritual masters resided.
"Whoo~"
Slowly opening his eyelids, Blaze Regret exhaled a long breath of cold air, then stood up and gazed towards the edge of the mountains. There, at regular intervals, stood soldiers on guard. Even the weakest of these soldiers possessed the strength of a first tier spirit Imperial master.
"The power of the royal family is indeed terrifying. Using spirit Imperial masters to guard the mountains, it's no wonder even top tier forces must adhere to their rules."
Glancing at those tiny black dots, Blaze Regret, with Red perched on his shoulder, quickly headed deeper into the mountains. It had taken him three days to travel from Thousand Stone Hall to this place, a testament to the vastness of Snow Storm City.
"Swoosh!"
As Blaze Regret swiftly moved forward, a fiery red molten ape, with bloodthirsty eyes, leaped down from a giant tree. Its sharp claws, trailing three fiery red streaks, fiercely targeted Blaze Regret's head.
However, just as the molten ape descended mid air, a silvery white figure suddenly dashed over with earth shaking steps. With a tightly clenched fist, infused with formidable strength, it smashed the molten ape in mid air.
"Boom!"
Instantly, a shower of blood sprayed, and the Rock Horn Dragon Rhinoceros, indifferent, retracted its fist and quickly followed Blaze Regret's silhouette. Those spiritual beasts lurking in the dark all lowered their heads, not daring to entertain any thoughts.
Glancing back at the waves emanating from the Rock Horn Dragon Rhinoceros, Blaze Regret contentedly withdrew his gaze. The effect of the Rock Cast Pill was indeed strong; presumably, in less than twenty days, the energy contained within would be fully absorbed by the Rock Horn Dragon Rhinoceros, allowing it to break through into an even more powerful lord level spiritual beast.
Such a scene continued to unfold in various parts of the mountains for a long time. As the spiritual energy flowed rapidly, the aura of the Rock Horn Dragon Rhinoceros gradually intensified, putting Blaze Regret's mind completely at ease.
"However, the troublesome one is still you, little fellow."
Blaze Regret looked down at the one fiery tails behind Red, which were formed by condensed spiritual energy, feeling somewhat at a loss.
The destructive power of the Four Tailed Spear was indeed formidable. With Red's current strength, it could barely injure even some first tier lord grade spiritual beasts. However, those one tails were ultimately not part of its physical body, so wielding them was not as intuitive as the central pale yellow tail.
"The spiritual skill of the Four Tailed Red Flame Cat isn't that easy to master," mused Master Magi, hovering in mid air as he looked playfully at Red, who wore a frustrated expression below.
"Master Magi, if you have any good suggestions, don't keep them to yourself," Blaze Regret said, rubbing his forehead in exasperation. The hard ancient tree beside him was covered with small pits, all pierced by Red's Four Tailed Spear. The awkward part was that the sizes of these pits were entirely inconsistent, indicating Red's inexperience with using its Four tails effectively.
"The power of the Four Tailed Red Flame Cat is not something a Three Tail Sun Blaze Cat can easily harness," Master Magi remarked. Upon hearing this, Blaze Regret's expression turned even more dejected. He knew well that the bloodline of the Four Tailed Red Flame Cat far surpassed that of the Three Tail Sun Blaze Cat, so this outcome was unsurprising to him.
"However, using just the Four Tailed Spear skill isn't particularly difficult," Master Magi added with a faint smile as he opened his palm. A swarm of black spirit bats flew out, darkening the sky above Blaze Regret's head as they hovered, making even the daylight seem to dim.
"Go!" Master Magi commanded with a flick of his hand. Three small white bats, each just the size of a fingernail, flitted their delicate wings and quickly vanished into the swarm of black bats. Their presence was like fleeting starlight in the night, barely discernible.
