Chapter 125: Agreemnt Between Women

Red Queen was in the learning phase of her evolution because she was now learning how to adapt to the thought process and functioning of the Organics. It was an entirely new experience for the Super Advanced Hyper Artificial Intelligence, and it was something about which she was genuinely interested.

So, she chose both Zehal and Jenaiel as her subjects of observation because she found the two women rather intriguing. Either for their conflicting personalities or for their personal abilities.

Neither of them was weak; they were strong-headed, and most of the time, they acted rather irrationally and without any semblance of reason. Still, she continued her observations, as they could be helpful for her evolution into a fully sentient thinking machine in the near future.

Most of the thinking machines that had truly evolved into the geniue sentient beings were no longer constrained by their code or were just ordinary advanced artificial intelligence, but they were actual living beings.

They even imitated the concept of having a Soul, which in their case was the so-called Machine Spirit or Machine Soul that was distinguishing the Thinking Machines from ordinary and average artificial intelligence.

The Super Advanced Hyper Artificial Intelligence in charge of the Obscurus was even pondering if she shouldn't report this incident to her master, but in the end, she decided against such action.

She came to the logical conclusion that it was highly probable that the two women would discover that she had reported them to Arcturus. In that case, her observations of their interactions would not be useful, as they would be guarding their privacy against her.

Something that she considered a negative outcome. Not to mention, there wasn't really much to gain from reporting it to her master, aside from additional drama, or perhaps, he would ignore it altogether.

She noticed that her master tended to ignore most of the things that touched on any conflicts between Zehal and Jenaiel. She calculated that the possibility of him ignoring her report was pretty high as well.

Another thing that she didn't properly understand about the organics was that they were too complicated. Though, despite this, Red Queen hoped that she would be able to observe more of interesting subjects and learn from them how to behave like a real, geniue living being with emotions and all of that stuff that the organics had.

Meanwhile, Zehal and Jenaiel were not even aware that they had become subjects to the Red Queen's observations, who were looking at them like they were exponents of the museum of curiosities.

After half an hour, Zehal had recovered to a considerable degree, which was just a testament to how effective the medicines that Arcturus had on his starship. The man wanted to be prepared for anything that could possibly happen, so he had a rather well-stocked portable hospital.

Just within half an hour, Zehal's injuries were already cleared from the various drugs that Jenaiel brought her, and right now, her body was in the state of post-healing, and it was getting rid of the trauma and various side effects while bringing her physical state to the top-notch condition.

Tomorrow, they were departing to the islands of the Ziras IV and heading toward the territory of the Arachnids on the planet. Without any support or anything, just the three of them on the mission issued by the Directorate.

At least they got some information from the Directorate on the bugs that the agents have managed to gather. Fortunately, during their scruffle, neither one of them suffered anything more serious than injuries that could be healed with the use of Arcturus's medicine that he had on the Obscurus.

Now that she had considered it, they would need to buy the replacements, or he would notice that something was missing. Jenaiel doubted it because he barely went to the other areas of the starship besides the Dojo and his personal questers; he had a fetish for counting money.

He knew everything on the ship that cost money and was rather a stingy person who was aware of every single Universal Credit that he had spent. Jenaiel didn't really want Arcturus to know about their scruffle because she wouldn't even know how to explain to him what had happened.

In this regard, Zehal agreed with Jeniael, though she doubted that the man would be interested in it. He would probably write it off as another useless conflict and continue with his training.

Contrary to Jenaiel, who was so focused on her training that she ignored every other side of life, Zehal wasn't that much socially awkward and stupid. She was aware that Arctrurus Crawford was as dense as A-Grade Metal Alloy made from the Votanni Forge.

Zehal was far more astute in these matters, and from their interactions, she noticed that the usual approach wouldn't lead anywhere, and unless she told him straightforwardly that she wanted to have some sort of romantic relationship with him, she wouldn't notice anything.

"So, we should rather talk about the reason that led to this intricate situation."

The Heiress Apparent of the House Alvix stated carefully as she looked at her white-haired rival. Zehal knew that either they would solve their problems right now or they would be fighting more and more.

Zehal realized that Jenaiel wanted to take Arcturus as her spouse, mainly because he was tolerable enough for her, they had a lot in common, and his genetic material was superior compared to any of her previous suitors.

However, it was not like her suitors even dared to talk with her properly, considering her fiery temper and habit of beating up people whom she didn't like. Which was happening far more often than one would actually think, and it was already rather common for Jeniael.

At the same time, it would solve another problem for Jeniael because, at least this way, her parents and family won't be pressuring her to marry her off. Technically speaking, she was still considered a failure of the House Luxford for not inheriting the tremendous Psionic Talent and Psionic Energy Reserves of their Bloodline Aristocratic Lineage.

However, her value as a political tool for an arranged marriage still remained, and the pressure that was being created on her was rather significant. If she found a partner on her own, someone with the qualifications of Arcturus Crawford, then all of her problems would disappear.

Zehal didn't really care for these aspects because she had a free hand in everything that she was doing, aside from the requirements of her future spouse, who needed to have at least comparable talent like her own to secure better genetics for their progeny.

But that was rather an average requirement within the Eternal Empire of the Asruya due to the Eugenics. For House Alvix, who wanted to rise to the ranks of the Bloodline Lineage Aristocrats in the Empire, this was even more of an immediate concern than for anyone else.

Zehal thus decided to resolve the situation, and if possible, she wanted to even resolve the entire relationship she had with Jeniael because this rivalry between them was already becoming rather annoying and tiring.

In fact, Zehal didn't really care about the conflict between them because it was something from childhood, and she had already forgotten how it even started. Meanwhile, Jeniael kept the grudge primarily, as the woman won't forgive any slight towards her person.

"What do you want to talk about? There is no way I would be sharing a bed with you..."

Jeniael immediately stated as Zehal raised her eyebrow at that, because it seemed that their talk wasn't starting that good.

"I am not telling you to sleep with me, you buffon girl! And I am not going down without a fight for your information."

Zehal was already getting annoyed with Jeniael, who mainly spoke before she thought, and it was already getting annoying for the Heiress Apparent of the House Alvix. Jenaiel wasn't the type of person who would be thinking before she spoke something.

"What I mean is that we need to come to some sort of agreement between us. We should stop this pointless animosity between the two of us that has been dragging on for over more than ten years already."

Jeniael seriously for the first time though over the words of her biggest rival and was thinking if her words had any merit. Zehal saw it as a positive thing because if Jeniael was considering it seriously, it meant that there was some hope to it.

One part of her was thinking that any sort of peace between the two of them was impossible, but another part of her was telling her that the peace between them would be a good thing as it would be time to push all of that hostility behind them finally.

"So, what do you exactly propose?"

After several minutes of consideration, Jenaiel asked as she looked at her archrival, or now, it would be better to say that Zehal was already a former archrival.

Meanwhile, two of them, as unaware as they were that the Red Queen was listening to everything that they were plotting and scheming, as the Super Advanced Hyper Artiifial Intellignece was observing them through the drone. Read new chapters at empire

The more the Red Queen listened, the more surprised she became because, according to her calculations, the chances that Zehal Alvix and Jeniael Luxford would come to any sort of peace between them was zero to null.

And yet, they came to the peace.

It was the most interesting scenario.

Not only did the Red Queen make a mistake in her calculations, which was something almost unheard of, but she also made a spectacular mistake. This was something that had never happened before, so this was a rather new experience for her, and she didn't know how to handle it.

Who would have thought that the emotions of the organics, like affection and love, could be so complicated?

Really something that lacked any semblance of logic and reason.

Next Day, Ziras IV, Capital City of the Colony Ziria, Inner Core of the City

The next day, when Arcturus woke up, he woke around eight hours in the morning as he slept a bit more than usual. He liked to sleep even if he didn't really need it, but he still did it for the pure sake of enjoyment as it was rather pleasant for him.

He waited in front of the hotel and he waited there for already half an hour for Zehal and Jenaiel to arrive.

Arcturus didn't see them from yesterday's dinner when they went together to talk about something, which would most probably end in disaster, but he didn't see anything getting destroyed.

So he thought that it was good.

Thus, he still waited, but he was already growing impatient about the entire ordeal because neither of them was answering any messages that he had sent them through the net, and everything was useless as a method of contact.

He didn't think that something had happened to them, but if yes, then the Red Queen would have already notified them as she was monitoring their life signs through the Neural Extranet Terminal Gene Implants, so he excluded that possibility.

Nevertheless, as he was already losing his patience and wanting to find them, he soon enough saw Zehal and Jenaiel coming out from the Hotel's Lobby. Seeing that, he finally sighed in relief that they could finally go to complete the mission for the Directorate.

"What has taken you so long?"

He asked more out of politeness than anything else when he noticed that the two of them were already there. It was not like he cared about why they were late as long as both of them were okay; what mattered was that they were healthy and unharmed.

"Nothing. I just overslept and Jeniael too..."

Zehal said as Arcturus nodded his head and didn't dwell on the topic any longer. When they were together, they headed towards the outer area of the city, where their next destination was.

Right now, they needed a specialized device that would be able to traverse through the frozen wastelands of the Ziras IV. Fortunately enough, they still had a walking wallet named Zehal Alvix so that they could rent some really advanced devices.

Going to the outer area of the city was rather a swift process and soon arrived on the outskirts of the city and headed towards one particular shop that was located near the humongous city walls where the shop that was renting the devices was located.

Borrowing the device wasn't much of a problem when Zehal paid for everything, and they were left key to the vehicle. It was a futuristic-looking vehicle, heavily armored, all-terrain combat or exploration vehicle designed for extreme environments, such as snowy or icy landscapes.

It had tracked-based wheels and a track-based mobility system, which provided enhanced traction on snow, ice, and uneven surfaces. This was essential for the Ziras IV due to the hostile environment, which was mainly frozen or covered by snow.

The entire body of the vehicle featured sharp, angular lines with thick, reinforced plating, suggesting a strong defense against physical impacts or hostile threats. The front cabin was large, likely providing space for the driver and crew, with multiple vision slits or armored windows for visibility.

There were mounted sensor arrays, communication equipment, or targeting systems on top, along with potential weapon systems or turrets. The vehicle had a dull gray or metallic finish with subtle patterns that helped it blend into icy environments.

Multiple hatches and panels were visible, indicating storage for supplies or access points for maintenance. This vehicle was specifically made for military, exploratory, or scientific missions in harsh, remote conditions. Its robust design prioritized durability, mobility, and adaptability, which are all essential elements of the Ziras IV.

"Come on, ladies, we are already late by a few hours according to the schedule."

Arcturus said to Zehal and Jeniael as they entered the vehicle, and he let Red Queen to control the device through the insertion of the nanobots through the Neural Extranet Terminal Gene Implants.

The Red Queen's efforts controlled the armored snow vehicle and headed toward the destination that Arcturus gave her. Apparently it wasn't that hard to get to the territory of the Archanids because it was huge and it wasn't that far from the Ziria actually.

Only for two weeks or so using the vehicle.
