SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 312: Vengeance

Silva moved fast, but he moved at a speed that would not hurt her. He entered the alley she pointed to, and immediately, the smell of blood reached his nose. He dropped her and walked into the alley slowly. He already knew what had happened, but he still wanted to see.

He finally reached where Kalifc's lifeless body lay, but he was not just simply killed—it was a gruesome murder. His body lay on the ground naked, with absolutely no covering.

Deep cut marks riddled his now pale body. His blood had completely leaked out into a puddle, and his innards lay bare on the floor.

His eyes had been gouged out completely, a deep cut was on his neck, and there were signs of severe beating all over his body. He was missing a few fingers and toes.

Silva looked at the body, not moving at all, his eyes scanning it from head to toe. The rest of the party arrived, and they came in with Ranin. The moment they saw the scene, Dawn moved to cover her eyes.

But Ranin had already seen her brother lying on the ground. She broke down instantly, her body trembling, her breath haggard. She fell to the ground, but Dawn quickly caught her.

Aaron walked close to Silva, took a look at the body, and a frown formed on his face.

"It was a game to them," Silva said.

"Yeah, they didn't even try to hide it. They just toyed with him, did what they wanted, and left him to bleed out before cutting his throat.

The cut on his throat doesn't look like it bled out too much, and that means he was allowed to bleed before finally being killed," Aaron said.

"He didn't deserve this," Silva said. He stared at the body as if he was trying to burn the image into his head.

"What do you want to do now, Silva? This is not our place. Making a careless move would not really be good," Aaron said.

"Who will find out? Whoever did this will simply vanish, and their remains will never be seen. But I'll make sure I cause them so much pain that they beg for death and still not receive it," Silva said coldly, his bloodlust seeping out of him like a raging river.

"Take his body, report it to the adventurers' guild or the inn we're staying at—just make sure someone takes care of his body," Silva said and walked past Aaron, right to Ranin, who was still shaking and crying.

Silva knelt down in front of her. She slowly looked up and saw him kneeling there. Explore more stories at My Virtual Library Empire

"Ranin, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry," Silva said and bowed his head to her. Everyone was shocked when he did this. This was Silva that they all knew, and even if he was acting as Terror now, he would not bow to a weak human like Ranin.

Ranin saw Silva bowing his head, and she said one thing, "Vengeance. I want vengeance," she said, her two eyes showing a glow of conviction.

"Are you sure you want that? The path of vengeance is one of darkness and emptiness," Silva said.

"That's what I want. I want them to suffer for what they did. He was my only family, he was my world, and they took him away from me without a single care," Ranin said, her voice clear, no sobbing or crying.

"Good. That was what I wanted to hear. Ranin, we will get your vengeance, and by your very hand. For now, you need to rest. Dawn will take you back to the inn to sleep.

But I want you to tell me about the people that killed your brother—what they looked like," Silva said. He was partially shocked to see Ranin recovering fast from the death of her brother.

No, this was not recovery. Her mind was too devastated from the death of her brother, and so it quickly shifted into the best coping method it could find, and that was killing the people who killed her brother.

But he didn't care. It worked for him either way because he wanted to kill all of them, torture them slowly, and make them wish for death.

"A thin man with a dagger and an average man with a sword. Both of them reek of death and blood," she said with a serious expression.

"Hmm, that will be enough. You should go and rest. I'll go and find them. No one should follow me," Silva said. He didn't even bother hiding. Behind Ranin, his dragon wings came out, and he shot into the air.

He flew high into the sky, several tens of meters, and then he stopped, looking down at the town, allowing all his senses to spread out far and wide around the town.

In less than ten seconds, he spotted the people he wanted to find—two people seated in a run-down house, a thin man and an average man—and he could sense their bloodlust from where he was.

"Found you," Silva said with a sick smile on his face. He immediately shot in that direction, causing a sonic boom due to his speed.

He arrived at their hideout, a run-down house, but to his surprise, this house had a good number of formations set around it to secure it.

But Silva walked through them. His steps destroyed the formations easily. He made it to the door and knocked, but no one answered, so he knocked again.

Finally, he sensed someone coming towards the door. The door opened, and the thin man peeked out. He saw Silva and spoke.

"What do you want? How did you get to our door without us noticing?" he asked.

"Which one should I answer? Well, either way, I don't have the time to waste," Silva said and kicked the door open, sending the man flying into a wall.

Silva walked in. The smile on his face didn't go down, but his bloodlust already filled the entire room.
