SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 308: Two kids

Silva came out of the summoning plane; he had been there for quite a while trying to figure out his memories, but it was worth it.

Though that was not his priority, his priority was his journey. If he wanted to get another opportunity to meet with Ophelia, dealing with the empire would be the best thing to do.

He did not want to risk speaking about the continent again because that being evidently showed him that he was nothing compared to him.

"How long will it take to make time to the nearest village?" Sage asked Silva after he woke up. Silva pulled out the map and took a look at it.

"We should be making it by night today, that's if we keep up the speed and nothing happens," Silva said. Suddenly, they heard a loud scream.

Aaron stopped the carriage immediately, and everyone came out and looked in the direction of the scream.

They saw two kids, a boy and a girl, running through the grass field like their life depended on it. Well, it did because a hundred rabbits were chasing after them. The devil rabbits were all white in color, with four red eyes and razor-sharp front teeth.

The more they ran through the field, the more rabbits came out and chased them.

"We should help them," Silva said. "If we want to make an image for ourselves, what better way than pointless heroic acts?" Silva said with a smile, and then he kicked off the next second, going towards the children.

Dawn charged in as well to help, running in behind Silva. Read the latest on My Virtual Library Empire

"Dawn, take the kids to safety, and I'll take care of the rabbits," Silva said. She nodded in response. They reached in a few seconds, and even when they were acting much more weakly, the distance was still little.

Silva pulled out his new sword and jumped in between the rabbits and the kids. He stabbed his sword into the group, and an explosive darkness blasted out of the ground like a veil, blocking all the rabbits.

Dawn came in behind Silva and grabbed the kids. She leaped into the air immediately, covering half of the field already, and with two jumps, she made it out of the field.

But even with just those two jumps, the rabbits still came out, and their closest target was Silva, who they all started attacking.

Silva pulled his sword out of the ground, and the veil came down, allowing the rabbits to attack. He started slashing with his sword, butchering rabbit after rabbit, but their number kept increasing from all angles.

Before he started this journey, he had made a mental note of everything that he would be allowed to use on this journey, a set of skills that would not give away his real self.

This limited him a lot, but that didn't bother him, because after all, he was still the overpowered dragon that he was.

His body soon became a blur as he cut through the rabbits. With every slash, ten rabbits were killed, but their number kept increasing.

Silva planted his feet into the ground and then spun around with a slash that exploded with purple flames like a tornado, blasting and burning the rabbits.

It created a small opening for him, and he charged out of it, running towards the carriage.

"Get the carriage moving!" he shouted. Aaron did as he said and immediately got back on the carriage. Everyone got in, Dawn threw the two kids in and entered, and the carriage started moving.

Silva got out of the field and started chasing after the carriage with thousands of rabbits chasing after him. He added his speed and made it to the carriage and leaped in.

"Go faster, Aaron!" he said as soon as he got in, and Aaron whipped the horses to go faster. Amber got up from her seat, took out her bow, and a well-fletched arrow. She set the shot and pulled the string.

A green aura formed around the bow. She fired it, and the bow whistled through the air and hit the ground before the rabbits. Hundreds of vines with deep thorns shot out of the ground and trapped the rabbits while blocking the rest.

"Thanks, Amber," Silva said.

"You owe me now," she said happily and went to sit back down. Silva looked at the kids inside the carriage, and then he telepathically spoke to his party here.

"From now on, I'm going by the name Terron," he said.

He got up and sat down, then he focused on the kids. "What were the two of you doing in such a field? You look no older than twelve," he said.

The girl immediately wanted to speak, but the boy tugged on her to keep quiet, but Silva saw that.

"If you don't speak, I'm more than happy to hand you back to the rabbits that nearly killed you," Silva said, and the look on his face said it all. He wasn't joking at all.

"We wanted to get a devil rabbit," the girl said.

"Why the hell would you want to do that?" Sage asked.

"It was a quest in our town's guild. Normally a devil rabbit is considered a D-level threat, something that we could handle.

But no one had taken the quest, and that was weird, but we needed the pay and it was good, so I and my sister gathered some information on where we could get the rabbits," the boy spoke.

"I think you two are new to adventuring," Lia said.

"Yes, we started a month ago," the boy said.

"That would explain this," Silva said. "When you see a low-level quest, good pricing, and no one has taken it, doesn't that tell you something is wrong?

What you should have been looking for is not where to find the rabbits, but why no one is going for the rabbits.

This field holds millions of devil rabbits, and they attack in groups of thousands. That's the place you walked into. A single rabbit is easy to kill; the same can't be said for a thousand," Silva said.
