The Calm Begins to Crack:
Somewhere, hidden behind shadows and secrets, Doflamingo smiled.
The pieces were moving.
The Spider-Men were starting to feel the pressure, the weight of unseen hands manipulating their lives. But they still didn't know him. They didn't realize that the game had already begun, that they were walking straight into his web.
And when did they do?
It would be too late.

Earth-96283 – Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man
Peter stood on the rooftop of his apartment, staring at the city below.
The conversation with Harry had left him uneasy. A new player in town, pulling strings from the shadows? That didn't sound like the usual street criminals.
And the way Harry had spoken… he was scared.
Peter hated that.
A gust of wind blew past him, carrying the distant hum of traffic and the faint sounds of the city.
Then—
A sound.
Soft. Subtle.
Footsteps.
Peter spun around, his senses flaring.
Nothing.
But someone had been there. He was sure of it.
He clenched his fists. "Alright, whoever you are… I know you're watching me."
Silence.
Then—
A whisper, barely audible, carried by the wind.
"You're already in the web."
Peter's heart pounded.
And just like that, the presence was gone.

Earth-120703 – Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man
Peter moved through the city, his mask pulled over his face as he swung between buildings.
The message still haunted him.
"Find the man in the white suit."
It wasn't a name. It wasn't an address. Just a clue.
A frustratingly vague clue.
He landed on the rooftop of a small building, crouching near the edge. Below him, the city moved as if nothing had changed. People went about their lives, unaware that something dangerous was creeping beneath the surface.
Then he saw it.
A man in white.
Standing near a streetlamp, motionless. Watching.
Peter's heart rate spiked.
This was it.
He jumped down, landing in an alley nearby, keeping to the shadows. The man didn't move. Didn't even blink.
Peter stepped forward. "Hey."
The man turned his head slightly.
Then, in a voice that sent a chill down Peter's spine, he whispered:
"He's already won."
Peter's blood ran cold.
And then the man was gone.
Just… gone.
Like he had never been there at all.

Earth-199999 – Tom Holland's Spider-Man
Peter sat in his room, staring at the note.
"They're watching you."
He had read it a dozen times.
Something wasn't right.
His Spider-Sense had been going off for days, but nothing ever happened. It was like a storm brewing just over the horizon, waiting to strike.
He grabbed his phone, dialling Ned's number.
"Dude!" Ned's voice came through, cheerful as always. "What's up?"
"Hey, listen," Peter said, voice low. "Something's going on. I don't know what, but—"
The line went dead.
Peter pulled the phone away, staring at the screen.
No Service.
His stomach twisted.
That wasn't normal.
A sound came from his window.
Slow. Deliberate.
Peter turned—
And for just a second, he saw it.
A shadow moving in the darkness.
Then—nothing.
His Spider-Sense screamed.
He wasn't alone.
---
The First Move
Doflamingo leaned back in his chair, watching the screens in front of him.
Each one displayed a different Spider-Man.
Tobey, standing on the rooftop, rattled by the voice in the wind.
Andrew, staring at the empty space where the man in white had vanished.
Tom, sitting in his room, feeling the weight of unseen eyes on him.
Perfect.
The first move had been made.
The next would be even better.
He reached for a glass of wine, swirling the liquid before taking a slow sip.
"You're all in my game now," he murmured. "Let's see how well you play."
