Chapter 218: Who won?
"Hufff..." Ming Yuelin wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, her grin only widening as the flames around her body reignited.
She slid back into a stance, her silver bow materializing in her hand once more.
Xue Hua smiled, her gauntlets pulsing with purple energy as she rolled her shoulders, ignoring the blood trickling from her split lip. "Is that all you've got, Senior Sister? Come on, hit me harder."
Ming Yuelin chuckled softly, pulling the bowstring once again.
This time, a massive, crackling arrow of flames formed, the heat warping the air around it. "Harder, huh? Don't regret it later."

She loosed the arrow without warning and it tore through the air, the sheer force of its trajectory splitting the ground beneath it.
Xue Hua sidestepped, but as the arrow passed her, it detonated, creating a shockwave that hurled her to the ground.
*BOOM!*
Before Xue Hua could recover, Ming Yuelin closed the distance with terrifying speed and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.
Xue Hua blocked most of the blows with her gauntlets, but the sheer heat from Ming Yuelin's flaming fists seared her skin with every strike.
Xue Hua finally found an opening and counter attacked, her fist slamming into Ming Yuelin's jaw with a resounding crack.
"Gughhh!" Blood sprayed from Ming Yuelin's mouth, but instead of retreating, she laughed and brought her knee up, driving it into Xue Hua's ribs with bone-crunching force.
"ARGHH!" Xue Hua stumbled back, gasping for air, but Ming Yuelin didn't let up.
She jumped back and raised her bow, as she fired an arrow at point-blank range.
*BOOM* The fiery projectile slammed into Xue Hua's chest, exploding on impact and sending her crashing into the arena ground.
The ground shattered under the force, and Xue Hua groaned as she pushed herself to her feet.
Her bloodied face twisted into a savage grin. "Not bad. But I'm not done yet."
She surged forward, and Ming Yuelin tried to draw her bow, but Xue Hua was too fast.
Her fist connected with Ming Yuelin's stomach, folding her in half before following up with an uppercut that sent her flying into the air.
"Augh!" Ming Yuelin twisted mid-air, her flames bursting to life as she flipped backward and landed gracefully.
Before Xue Hua could follow up, she nocked three flaming arrows at once and fired.
The projectiles slashed through the air, curving unpredictably toward Xue Hua like guided missiles.
Xue Hua ducked and moved, her body disappearing like a blur as she dodged the first two arrows.
The third clipped her shoulder, but she powered through, slamming her fists together to create a shockwave that extinguished the flames.
"You're stubborn," Ming Yuelin muttered, already firing another arrow.
This one split into countless smaller arrows mid-flight, creating a storm of fire.
Xue Hua smiled, and her gauntlets glowed with an intense purple light as she charged straight through the fiery barrage.
The flames scorched her skin, but she didn't falter.
*woosh* She closed the distance and launched a punch at Ming Yuelin.
The punch connected, sending Ming Yuelin crashing to the ground, but she rolled with the impact, immediately firing another arrow upward.
The projectile grazed Xue Hua's face, leaving a searing burn across her cheek.
Both women were bloodied now, their faces and bodies marked with cuts, bruises, and burns.
"Haa.. Haa..." Their breaths came in ragged gasps, but neither showed any sign of stopping.
The ground around them was scorched and cracked, the air thick with the metallic scent of blood and the acrid stench of burned flesh.
Ming Yuelin suddenly surged forward, her bow disappearing once more as she tackled Xue Hua to the ground.
*thoom* *thoom* She rained down flaming punches, her fists smashing into Xue Hua's face and chest.
*puchi* Blood splattered with every hit, but Xue Hua managed to grab Ming Yuelin's wrist and twist it violently, forcing her to drop her guard.
With a guttural smile, Xue Hua rolled them over, pinning Ming Yuelin beneath her.
*thoom* *thoom* She unleashed a barrage of punches, her gauntlets glowing brighter with each strike.
The force of her blows cracked the ground beneath them, and Ming Yuelin coughed up blood, her vision blurring.
But even then, Ming Yuelin didn't stop fighting and she summoned a burst of flames from her palms, the heat forcing Xue Hua to leap back.
Ming Yuelin staggered to her feet, her body trembling from exhaustion but her eyes burning with determination.
She took her bow again, pulling the string back as far as it would go.
"This ends now!" she muttered and raised her bow.
Xue Hua smirked, wiping blood from her mouth as she raised her fists. "Bring it."
Ming Yuelin loosed the arrow, and it screamed through the air.
Xue Hua didn't dodge and met it head-on, her gauntlets colliding with the arrow in a massive explosion of fire and energy.
*THOOOOMM*
When the smoke cleared, both women were on their knees, bloodied and battered, their bodies trembling under the strain of the grueling battle.
Ming Yuelin's hair was disheveled, her face streaked with blood and sweat.
Her left arm hung limp at her side, her knuckles bruised from countless punches.
Despite the pain, her lips curled into a faint smile as she clutched her chest, trying to steady her breathing.
"Not bad… for a Junior Sister," Ming Yuelin rasped, her voice hoarse but tinged with a note of respect.
Xue Hua, equally battered, sat back on her heels, clutching her ribs where a deep bruise had already begun to form.
Yet, her sharp eyes still sparkled with determination as she managed a weak chuckle.
"Same to you… Senior Sister," she replied, collapsing onto her back with a weary laugh.
Her body screamed in protest, but she ignored it, savoring the cool relief of the arena floor beneath her.
For a moment, the two lay there in silence, the weight of their battle pressing down on them.
Then, unexpectedly, Ming Yuelin started to laugh... a soft, breathless sound that grew louder with each passing second.
"Hahaha..."
Ming Yuelin lay flat on the ground beside her, her gaze fixed on the sky. She raised a trembling hand, her fingers brushing against the air. "I give up…"
The moment the words left her lips, the silence in the arena shattered.
The audience, who had been holding their breaths during the bloody spectacle, erupted into deafening roars and cheers.
"That was incredible!"
"A fight like no other!"
"This was the best match in the tournament so far!"
People leaped to their feet, clapping and shouting in exhilaration.
The sheer intensity of the battle had left an indelible mark on everyone present.
The gong rang out loudly, signaling the conclusion of the match. The announcer's voice boomed over the noise of the crowd.
"The winner of the semi-final… advancing to the finals… is Xue Hua!"
The cheers intensified, a wave of excitement sweeping through the stands.
Xue Hua lay on the ground, her chest rising and falling as she struggled to catch her breath.
A faint, tired smile played on her lips. She let out a soft sigh and muttered, "You finally gave up… huh? Ugh… my lungs hurt."
Ming Yuelin laughed again, though it quickly turned into a pained cough. "Don't… get used to it… Junior Sister… Next time, I'll beat you for sure."
Xue Hua gave a dry laugh "Next time.. I won't even let you touch me."
Ming Yuelin shook her head helplessly and glanced at Xue Hua "Hua.. get your revenge.. smash that bitch's face in the finals for me..."
Xue Hua nodded her head "Yes, Senior Sister."
Back on the arena floor, medics rushed forward, carrying stretchers to retrieve the two fighters. Xue Hua raised a hand weakly, waving them off. "I can… walk… give me a moment…"
Ming Yuelin groaned as two medics tried to lift her. "Hands off… I'm fine… or maybe not…" She winced as a sharp pain shot through her ribs.
The medics exchanged concerned glances, hesitating to move her further. But before they could make a decision, a sudden gust of wind swept through the arena.
*woosh* At this time, Zhang Yuan appeared there and the audience was stunned to see the handsome man who suddenly appeared in the Arena.
"W-Woah, who is that?"
"WOAHHHH!!!"
"So handsome…" someone whispered in the crowd.
"Who is he?!"
"He's… like a god descended to earth…"
The audience crowd erupted again.
Meanwhile, the medics froze in their tracks, their hands instinctively pulling back as they caught sight of him. The man's mere presence seemed to exude an unshakable calm, and they found themselves bowing their heads slightly, stepping aside without a word.
Zhang Yuan paid no attention to the crowd or their adoration. His focus remained solely on his two disciples, sprawled on the broken tiles of the arena.
His eyes softened slightly as he crouched down between them.
Both women, despite their pain and exhaustion, looked up at him. For a moment, the anguish on their faces was replaced by something akin to relief and pride.
"Master…" Ming Yuelin rasped, her voice weak.
Xue Hua, lying on her side, blinked up at him with a faint, weary smile. "You… saw that?"
"I saw everything, now lets leave.."
He leaned down and slowly took their bodies in both of his hand.
"Argh~~ MAster.. be soft..."
"Fuck... it hurts...."
"Ughhh..."
He gently lay them on his shoulders and again disappeared from thee, leaving everyone in shock.
