The room was silent for a long time. The elders looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
Finally, one of them spoke.
"Arata… we understand," the elder said. "We agree that we have made mistakes. But even if we, the elites, accept this truth, what about the rest of our clan? The children, the elders who have retired, the mothers who lost their sons to the Uchiha—what do we tell them? They will not accept this so easily."
Another elder nodded. "Even if they somehow agree, what about the Uchiha? Will they be willing to make peace with us?"
Tobirama, who had been quiet for a while, finally spoke. "That's a good question," he said, looking at his nephew. His voice was calmer now, less sharp than before. He had been shaken by Arata's words.
For the first time, he truly understood why the Uchiha had acted the way they did. He thought about his fiancée, Sarutobi Shizuka. Now, it all made sense. His father had once ordered the killing of pregnant Uchiha women. That meant the Uchiha's revenge started long before him… and now it had reached him, full circle.
One of the clansmen, who had been ashamed of himself, spoke hesitantly. "Young lord… even if we agree, what is the point if the Uchiha refuse? What if they reject peace?"
Arata , who had been deep in thought, finally spoke up. "If some of our clan members refuse peace, then let them fight alone," he said firmly. "And if the Uchiha refuse peace, then we will fight. But we will not fight women, children, or those who are disabled—like those who have lost limbs."
Someone in the crowd asked, "Why?Young Lord" even Hasirama was Confused
as Arata continued, "Let me tell you. The woman you are fighting… she is someone's mother. She is someone's wife. Her children are waiting for her to come home. That is why you only need to knock her out, not kill her."
He took a deep breath before continuing.
"The elderly… they are the backbone of their families. If they die, their families will suffer greatly."
"As for children… do I even need to explain? They are innocent. They don't deserve this war."
Arata looked at his clan members, his expression serious.
"I don't want to see my clansmen sacrifice themselves on the battlefield anymore," he said. "So, for the first time, I am begging you all—please, give me a chance."
He clenched his fists.
"I will find a way to convince our people… and I will find a way to convince the Uchiha. I will make sure we reconcile and form a peace treaty."
Arata Senju's voice was filled with determination.
Hashirama felt a deep warmth in his heart. Hearing his son speak, seeing his determination, he was proud—so proud that he wanted to cry. But he held it in, keeping a strong face.
Why did he feel like crying? Because for years, he had been mocked for this same dream. A dream to stop wars. A dream to bring peace. His own father had laughed at him. Even Tobirama had doubted him. People told him to abandon this foolish hope.
But now, his own son, Arata, had the same dream.
And unlike back then, now someone believed in him.
Mito had always supported him. And now, his son stood before him, carrying his will forward.
Even if there was a god, even if the Sage of Six Paths was watching, Hashirama would be thankful. Thankful for this family. Thankful for this son, who understood him in a way no one else had.
As Arata smiled, he spoke again.
"Our Senju clan is thousands of years old, right?" he asked. "But look around. We only have a few thousand members left. Why do you think that is?"
The elders and clansmen listened carefully.
"My proposal is simple," Arata continued. "Instead of fighting, how about we and the Uchiha build a village together? A safe place. A place where our children can grow up in peace. A village where we protect each other instead of killing each other."
He looked at them all. "If we do this, we won't just survive—we will grow. If we create peace, our clan won't be reduced to a few thousand warriors fighting a never-ending battle. We will thrive. We will prosper. Imagine, a hundred years from now, not thousands—but hundreds of thousands of Senju clan members, strong and united. Do you think our clan won't be stronger by then?"
Silence.
Then murmurs.
Even Hashirama was shocked. His son had come up with something he himself had never fully thought of.
The elders looked at each other, stunned. The fifty clansmen in the meeting were just as shocked.
Why hadn't they thought of this before?
Had their hatred blinded them this much?
Some of them started to nod in agreement. Others hesitated. Most of them didn't even know that Hashirama and Madara were once close friends. Only Tobirama knew.
Tobirama snorted. He understood his nephew's logic. He even agreed. But he would never say it out loud—he was Tobirama, after all.
Still, there was something different in his eyes. A look of gratitude. Arata had opened his eyes to a truth he had refused to see.
And so, with Arata's words, with his Talk-no-Jutsu (kind of*Cough*DxD plot Armor*Cough*), the elders agreed.
The clansmen present also agreed.
There were no major objections.
But one thing was clear—they still needed the Uchiha's consent. Without that, peace would be impossible.
Arata smiled. "Thank you, elders. I will gather all the clan members and discuss this with them," he said, bowing.
As he walked toward the door, Hashirama watched his son's back.
For a moment, he saw himself in Arata.
And he smiled.
Outside, Arata stood at the clan's training ground.
He had gathered everyone—not just the warriors, but the elders, the young, and even the retired shinobi.
The entire clan was here.
"I heard the young lord wants to say something," an old man muttered.
"Is it important?" someone asked.
"I don't know, but look, everyone is here, even the kids," another whispered.
"This must be a big deal," a woman said.
More whispers. More murmurs. The people talked among themselves, curious and confused.
Arata raised his hand. A small surge of chakra spread out, just enough to get their attention.
"Clansmen," Arata spoke, his voice strong, "be quiet for a moment. I have something important to say."
The murmuring stopped.
Everyone turned to him, waiting.
Some were confused.
Some were nervous.
No one knew what he was about to say.
And then, Arata took a deep breath—
And spoke.
