Chapter 143: Chapter 95: Night Parade of a Hundred Demons

Chapter 95: Night Parade of a Hundred Demons

The battle ended, leaving the Aurors responsible for cleaning up. Whether it was dead Death Eaters or those captured alive, they now fell under their jurisdiction.

Mr. Lucius Malfoy found himself in dire straits.

Although he repeatedly claimed he had been coerced by Voldemort, given he used the same excuse last time, it seemed unlikely he'd escape a prison sentence this time.

Even if he wasn't sent to Azkaban, his fate would undoubtedly be grim.

As for Azkaban itself…

Professor McGonagall informed Cornelius Oswald Fudge about the Dementors siding with Voldemort. Fudge looked troubled but refrained from making any immediate decisions regarding the matter.

Professor McGonagall felt concerned.

During his tenure as Minister of Magic, Fudge had always placed immense trust in the Dementors. While external criticism existed, Fudge maintained inexplicable confidence in their loyalty, believing they would guard Azkaban effectively.

Yet, these creatures had allied with Voldemort during the last uprising.

The mass breakout of Death Eaters had already tarnished Fudge's credibility, and now the Dementors' involvement in the attack on Hogwarts cemented their betrayal.

To protect his position, McGonagall suspected Fudge would do everything to cover up the incident.

For instance, he might claim that Voldemort had not truly been resurrected and that the attack was merely an act of retaliation by the Death Eaters.

Given Fudge's obsession with power, such fabrications were entirely plausible.

By the time the Ministry officials took away the prisoners, the sun had set, leaving behind only traces of fiery clouds in the sky.

Professor McGonagall approached Dumbledore and expressed her concerns.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "Professor McGonagall, whether in teaching or managing the school, you have always excelled. You are well-suited to be the next Headmaster of Hogwarts."

McGonagall was momentarily stunned, unable to understand why Dumbledore was deflecting the topic.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, that's not important. What's pressing now is—"

"No, Professor McGonagall, it is important. Because I will no longer serve as the Headmaster of Hogwarts."

"What?!"

McGonagall exclaimed in shock, drawing the attention of nearby teachers. Lowering her voice, she said, "This cannot happen. Hogwarts cannot do without you."

Looking at the towering castle perched atop the cliff, Dumbledore's eyes were filled with emotion. "This castle is my home, but it's also my shackle. My time here has narrowed my perspective, blinding me to the ever-changing world outside."

McGonagall failed to comprehend his words and asked, "Hogwarts is the foundation of wizardry. Shouldn't all change begin here?"

Dumbledore's gaze turned profound as he sighed, "As you said, it is merely 'wizardry.'"

McGonagall seemed to grasp his meaning and frowned. "Are you suggesting changes involving… Muggles?"

Dumbledore chuckled. "A student once told me that as time goes on, the magical world is teetering on the brink of destruction."

McGonagall dismissed the idea with a smile.

"At first, I felt the same way you do. Magic is so mysterious and powerful; how could it possibly be eradicated?"

"But the seed of doubt had been planted in my heart. You know how insatiable my curiosity can be."

After making a light-hearted remark, Dumbledore continued, "While searching for Horcruxes, I spent a lot of time in the Muggle world. Unlike before, I became curious about their world and stopped to observe."

"Gradually, I discovered something that troubled me—trouble far greater than the threat of Voldemort."

Though she didn't understand what Dumbledore feared, his emotions were infectious, and McGonagall felt a deep unease.

"They are constantly evolving, but what about us?"

"Headmaster Dumbledore, we are advancing too."

"Inventing the occasional new spell counts as progress?"

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I don't understand. Isn't that enough?"

In the face of McGonagall's doubts, Dumbledore firmly replied, "It's not enough!"

"Professor McGonagall, the magical world didn't start preaching pure-blood ideology during Voldemort's era. This has been ongoing for thousands of years, and yet, we have seen no significant change."

"How long will we remain stuck on such trivial matters?"

"Is this trivial?" McGonagall asked in confusion.

Dumbledore sighed. "Compared to the survival of the magical world, it is indeed trivial."

McGonagall covered her mouth, staring at Dumbledore in astonishment.

"The magical world cannot remain hidden forever. As Muggle technology advances, our living space will only shrink further."

"There will come a day when the two worlds collide. When that happens, what will wizards do?"

"Fight?"

"Thousands of years ago, wizards had to retreat from Muggles armed only with swords. Now, they have machine guns, airplanes, and artillery."

"Can Hogwarts' defenses withstand even a few missiles?"

McGonagall wanted to argue, but Dumbledore's every word was undeniably valid.

Most wizards understood that the magical world was the weaker party, but their pride often prevented them from admitting it.

"Change is inevitable. In the past, ordinary people feared wizards because of their power. In the future, they might eliminate us simply because we are different."

Dumbledore avoided using the term "Muggle" to describe non-magical individuals, opting instead for the neutral term "ordinary people."

"Now is the best time. We haven't yet decayed entirely, and they are strong enough not to fear us. The two sides can engage in equal dialogue."

Hearing this, McGonagall seemed to grasp Dumbledore's intentions, her emotions growing increasingly agitated.

Adjusting his glasses, Dumbledore smiled. "I must lead the magical world toward change. That's why I will become the new Minister of Magic."

It wasn't a candidacy but a declaration of certainty.

The man who had declined the position countless times throughout his life would finally step onto an unprecedented stage.

...

Elsewhere, Chu Yang found himself in another familiar space—a grand palace, and a throne he recognized.

As soon as Voldemort died, Magical Chu Yang sensed the Soul Palace's summons. When he regained awareness, he was surrounded by other versions of himself. After sharing memories, they all learned of Voldemort's demise.

Demon Slayer Chu Yang was the first to speak. "So, how does it feel to beat the boss?"

Magical Chu Yang chuckled. "Almost as hollow as you feel."

Voldemort might have posed a threat early on, but as each version of Chu Yang grew stronger, he became less of a challenge.

Marvel Chu Yang remarked, "Now you can share memories and abilities freely, right?"

Magical Chu Yang nodded. Like Demon Slayer Chu Yang, he could now share skills and knowledge across all versions of himself without relying on the Soul Palace.

This development was great news for every Chu Yang in other worlds.

The enhancement of swordsmanship primarily came from the "Demon Slayer" Chu Yang. The technique [Origin Breathing: First Form - Sun and Moon Rotation], used by Marvel Chu Yang to counter the Destroyer's armor, was one of Demon Slayer Chu Yang's masterpieces, showcasing significant power.

From now on, abilities related to techniques such as ninjutsu and Kido could be handed entirely over to Magic Chu Yang for research, significantly reducing the pressure on Naruto Chu Yang and Bleach Chu Yang.

The former needed to focus on extracting Ōtsutsuki bloodlines, while the latter had to awaken his zanpakutō as soon as possible.

As for Cursed Energy techniques, Jujutsu Chu Yang had not yet awakened his innate technique and had only studied barrier techniques and a small portion of general jujutsu, which held little research value.

However, Magic Chu Yang was planning to integrate all kinds of techniques. By then, ninjutsu and Kido might be performed in the form of jujutsu.

There was no need to waste time mastering jujutsu itself; understanding how to utilize cursed energy would suffice.

Moreover, the stronger each version of himself became, the stronger Chu Yang's cursed energy would grow. Besides jujutsu, there was also the terrifying skill [Black Flash].

[Black Flash] referred to the spatial distortion created when the margin of error between a physical strike and cursed energy impact was within 0.000001 seconds. Its power equaled the cursed energy and physical strength raised to the power of 2.5.

A jujutsu sorcerer with [Black Flash] experience and one without it had an immense difference in their connection to their cursed energy core. Simply put, their control over cursed energy was worlds apart.

Compared to Gojo Satoru, Chu Yang's cursed energy might not be as strong, but if physical strength were factored in, Chu Yang was confident in bridging the gap.

Overall, the power difference in their [Black Flash] abilities wouldn't be significant.

In the Jujutsu World, no cursed spirit or jujutsu sorcerer could withstand Gojo Satoru's [Black Flash]. Similarly, Chu Yang's [Black Flash] was equally destructive.

Thus, rather than dedicating effort to studying jujutsu, focusing on [Black Flash] seemed more worthwhile, as it had almost limitless potential.

However, no sorcerer had actively performed [Black Flash] since curses appeared in the world. The 0.000001-second margin was simply too demanding. Most sorcerers who performed [Black Flash] did so instinctively during combat.

The current goal of Jujutsu Chu Yang was to become the first to actively perform [Black Flash].

With the assistance of Magic Chu Yang, this was bound to succeed eventually.

Unfortunately, Naruto Chu Yang's newly-learned Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu could not bear forces beyond chakra, especially special energies like cursed energy that originated from negative emotions.

If he could use the Shadow Clone Jutsu to explore the secrets of [Black Flash], the process would have been much faster.

Magic Chu Yang and Jujutsu Chu Yang had a brief discussion before approaching Marvel Chu Yang to discuss Asgardian magic.

Asgardians, born with extraordinary physiques, didn't require wands as conduits to control magic output. Their bodies themselves were the perfect medium.

Chu Yang, with his exceptional physique, could adopt their casting style. After further study, he quickly devised a new method to improve wandless magic.

Upon returning, Magic Chu Yang would soon be able to cast the Imperius Curse using wandless magic.

This would greatly benefit Marvel Chu Yang in his future plans, allowing him to control the entire HYDRA organization.

After the Battle of New York, HYDRA, hidden within SHIELD, would steal the Tesseract and the Mind Stone—both of which Chu Yang was determined to acquire.

These artifacts could create individuals like Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, and Vision. Similarly, they could elevate Chu Yang's power to greater heights.

Since the Avengers were destined to lose, Chu Yang didn't want to pin his survival hopes on Thanos' 50% random chance.

Moments later, the mist sent everyone back to their respective worlds.

Jujutsu World

Morning sunlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows onto a large bed. Chu Yang squinted against the brightness, muttering as he got up.

Grabbing a large bottle of cold water from the fridge, Chu Yang stood by the window, sipping while gazing at the bustling commercial street in the distance.

Chu Yang currently lived in a luxury apartment in the heart of Tokyo—a place he had dreamed of during his corporate days.

After becoming a jujutsu sorcerer, it didn't take long for him to accumulate wealth that an average corporate worker couldn't earn in a lifetime of 996 (9 AM to 9 PM, six days a week).

However, high pay came with high risk.

In this field, it was common for sorcerers to die with unspent fortunes.

Admiring the busy corporate workers below, Chu Yang left the balcony, heading to the kitchen. He retrieved a leftover slab of Wagyu beef from the fridge and started pan-frying it in a skillet.

As the sizzling sound filled the air and the aroma of meat wafted through, Chu Yang couldn't help but gulp.

Just as he was about to take a bite of the medium-rare steak, his phone rang.
