Chapter 386: Chapter 382.

Chapter 382.

After half a year of intense experiences, Wang Feng's soul power had risen by another level, reaching level 59—despite not actively cultivating.

The most significant growth wasn't in his soul power alone but in the capabilities of his Armored Black Thorn. The power of his Armored Black Thorn had reached a level comparable to his other abilities, becoming an indispensable asset in his arsenal.

At the same time, the abilities granted by his skull soul bone, namely the [Fog] and [Perception] skills, had seen considerable improvement.

When activated, the [Fog] ability was now powerful enough to conceal his soul power level and even obscure the presence of his martial soul—making it difficult for even someone as strong as Bibi Dong to detect them.

In battle, Wang Feng's exceptional mental strength granted him unmatched perception, allowing him to sense his surroundings with incredible clarity. This heightened awareness significantly bolstered his combat abilities, even if the direct applications of his mental power remained limited.

While his spiritual power had grown to an extraordinary level—condensed into spiritual water droplets—the practical applications in combat were still few and far between. Techniques such as mental attacks were beyond his current repertoire, leaving him reliant on familiar methods like his Armored Black Thorn to leverage his mental strength effectively.

The potential of his spiritual power was immense, but it required further exploration and refinement to unleash its full capabilities.

Now, standing within the imposing Supreme Pontiff Palace, Wang Feng was acutely aware of the need for caution.

He could not afford to expose the abilities he had previously revealed in this very place.

The four forms of his Chaos Green Lotus martial soul, the Dark Angel martial soul, and even the transformative potential of the Armored Black Thorn had to remain carefully hidden. If any of these abilities deviated too drastically from what others had seen before, it would raise suspicions.

For instance, in the eyes of Hu Liena and Tang San, Wang Feng's Armored Black Thorns were no more than sharp blades a few dozen centimeters long—assumed to be either soul bones or a unique martial soul.

As for his soul rings, Wang Feng wasn't overly concerned. Concealing soul rings might be a rare ability for the average soul master, but it wouldn't surprise the Titled Douluo gathered here.

Explaining his unorthodox power progression wasn't an issue either. He could simply attribute it to his unique cultivation method of absorbing and refining emotions—a –rationale that defied conventional understanding of soul master training.

At this moment, Wang Feng was left with only a limited selection of abilities he could safely use, but each was formidable in its own right:

The Bloodmark like power of the Dark Angel martial soul and the Domain of Original Sin.

The Armored Black Flying Sword.

The Qiankun Cauldron.

His 100,000-year old waist soul bone,

And, of course, his own unmatched physical strength.

Even with these constraints, he had no intention of utilizing his special combat state, such as [Slow World], to prevent drawing unnecessary attention.

On the square, Wang Feng stood facing Porcupine Douluo with an unreadable expression.

The words he had spoken earlier were deliberate, their purpose simple, to craft a persona.

'''''''Pretending was the process, establishing dominance was the goal.'''''''

Wang Feng's arrogant declaration was a masterpiece of confidence, delivered with deliberate plainness that only added to its audacity.

Across from him, Porcupine Douluo stood silently, assessing his opponent.

Despite his earlier dismissive tone, deep down, Porcupine Douluo didn't underestimate him. Defeating Ghost Douluo, even with clever tactics, wasn't something anyone could accomplish without significant strength.

As a Titled Douluo who had cultivated for decades, Porcupine Douluo was well aware of one truth, no Titled Douluo truly acknowledges another's strength until they've clashed head-on. Respect and admiration weren't given—they were earned in combat.

But when this so-called White Death God declared, in that maddeningly calm tone, "If I can't defeat you in three moves, I'll leave," it ignited a fire within Porcupine Douluo.

He could no longer tolerate it.

"Martial soul possession!"

With a low cry, Porcupine Douluo released his martial soul, and the nine soul rings on his body glowed with dazzling brilliance:

Yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, black.

It was the ideal configuration for a soul master's rings.

A massive, pale-black creature resembling a porcupine, except more domineering, materialized behind him. Its body was covered in sharp spikes that shimmered with a dangerous glint.

"The famed martial soul of Porcupine Douluo!"

The aura radiating from him was immense, befitting his status as a level 92 Titled Douluo. Though technically ranked below level 93, his battle prowess placed him among the strongest of the assault-type Titled Douluo.

Wang Feng, however, remained unfazed.

"Not impressive," he said lightly.

"...!"

Those two words nearly caused Porcupine Douluo to lose his composure.

This White Death God was infuriatingly arrogant!

"Martial Soul True Body!" Porcupine Douluo roared.

With his seventh soul ring flashing brightly, he activated his Martial Soul True Body.

A colossal black creature emerged, resembling a demonic porcupine. Its sleek, spined body hovered in the air, its wing-like fins swaying gently but ominously. Strange patterns adorned its skin, emitting a faint, chilling light.

Porcupine Douluo's body could barely be seen, embedded in the creature's head like it's core.

The remaining soul rings on Porcupine Douluo's body began to shine one after another, preparing to unleash his full might.

But before he could strike—

The White Death God moved.

Or rather, his blades moved.

Hovering around Wang Feng, the sharp, meter-long blades—sleek and gleaming, resembling swords—sprang to life.

Whoosh!

A piercing sound split the air as one blade shot forward with terrifying speed, the sheer force tearing through the clouds above.

In an instant, countless blades followed, falling from the sky like a torrential rainstorm.

Each blade sliced through the air with precision and ferocity, descending toward Porcupine Douluo with a momentum that seemed unstoppable.

The square fell silent except for the sound of the blades cutting through the atmosphere—a deadly rainstorm unleashed by a single, unassuming man.

Each blade seemed to carry immense power, and the piercing sound they produced caused subtle shifts in the expressions of the Titled Douluo present.

Though they were all top-tier soul masters, the sheer force radiating from the sharp blades couldn't be ignored.

"Is this his method of controlling weapons to kill?" the blond elder murmured, narrowing his eyes. "Those sharp blades don't resemble martial souls at all. They must be a special type of soul bone... but they lack any detectable soul power fluctuations. His soul power must be extraordinary to achieve this."

The elder turned to Bibi Dong. "Your Majesty, can you discern his technique?"

Bibi Dong didn't immediately respond.

Her sharp gaze rested on the White Death God, who was enveloped in an aura like a dense, impenetrable mist. This aura clearly served to conceal his true strength and martial soul, but that alone wasn't particularly impressive.

Many soul masters possessed abilities to mask their presence.

However, Bibi Dong knew better. She had visited the Slaughter City in secret and personally witnessed the White Death God's abilities. Though she hadn't stayed long, she had observed his combat style and power, particularly in his interactions with Hu Liena.

Back then, she had dismissed his abilities as situational. His skill in controlling weapons might seem formidable in the Slaughter City, where soul abilities were restricted. In that environment, his attacks could overwhelm opponents reliant on their physical defenses.

But in a fair fight against Titled Douluo, with full access to their soul abilities? Such sharp blades would be little more than an annoyance.

The Porcupine Douluo seemed to think the same.

Though the onslaught of sharp blades appeared menacing and carried a distinct sense of majesty, Porcupine Douluo scoffed inwardly. A flashy display, but ultimately harmless.

Still, he didn't let his guard down. His instincts warned him not to underestimate this mysterious opponent.

With a deep hum, his skin suddenly gleamed, becoming smooth and slick as if coated with oil. A dark soul ring flared to life, and three shimmering protective barriers rose around him, shielding him from the incoming attack.

But then—

As the first blade struck, the atmosphere shifted.

The sharp shattering of glass like reverberated, and the –expressions of every Titled Douluo present hardened.

"Impossible!"

The protective barriers surrounding Porcupine Douluo, designed to withstand even the fiercest assaults, were penetrated like paper.

In the blink of an –eye, the sharp blades coalesced in mid-air, merging to form a single, gleaming sword.

Wang Feng smirked. With a quiet exhale, he uttered a single word:

"Pierce."

The sword seemed to vibrate with raw energy before vanishing in a blur of silver light.

Propelled by Wang Feng's immense spiritual power, the sword's speed became almost imperceptible—a streak of brilliance that cut through the air like a lightning strike.

Boom!

Before anyone –could react, the sword shattered all three of Porcupine Douluo's protective barriers in an instant.

The mighty shields disintegrated, leaving Porcupine Douluo visibly stunned.

For the first time in decades, he realized he had underestimated his opponent a lil too much—and the consequences of that error could cost him dearly.
