Shut Up Dragon! I Don't Want To Have Children With You Anymore

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Let's Make A Deal!

To meet or not to meet?

Of course, to meet.

Two silver figures flashed under the full moon.

"Your Majesty, ahead is the border of Constantine's territory. Recently, there have been occasional internal conflicts among the dragon clan there. To be safe, let's take a detour," Sherry suggested while flying beside Rossweise.

"Alright."

They changed direction and avoided the area ahead.

If not for needing Sherry to lead the way, Rossweise could have gone alone.

Silently going and silently returning without causing any disturbance.

Unfortunately, Sherry said that Tiger's hiding place was too concealed to find just by verbal description.

Moreover, Tiger had set up barrier formations all around. Any tracking magic or memory stones would fail within the range. Back then, Sherry had only stumbled upon it by aimless flying, like a blind cat running into a dead rat.

Therefore, this trip required Sherry's guidance.

Listening to Sherry's description, Rossweise grew more curious about Leon's master.

Previously, Rossweise's understanding of the master was limited to Leon's usual playful remarks.

The master, who existed in Leon's words, left an impression of being an "old joker," someone "usually lazy but reliable at critical moments," and a "normal farmer who knows a bit of basic magic."

However, it was clear that someone who could find such a hidden refuge and set up a barrier formation was far from ordinary.

Moreover, Sherry had said the previous night that Tiger could easily kill her.

Although Sherry specialized in infiltration and intelligence gathering, making her relatively weaker in combat, she was still one of Rossweise's trusted aides. Even the top dragon slayers among humans might not easily defeat her, let alone kill her.

If she couldn't win in a fight, couldn't she at least escape?

But Tiger indeed struck fear into Sherry.

'Who exactly is this old man...?'

"Sherry, speed up," Rossweise ordered.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The two figures sped across the sky, heading toward human borders.

Due to the detour, their journey took several hours longer than usual.

When they reached the boundary between human and dragon territory, dawn was breaking.

Both Rossweise and Sherry activated invisibility magic. Without the cover of darkness, it was better to be cautious.

"Follow me, Your Majesty."

"Alright."

Sherry adjusted her trajectory and flew toward a mountain ravine below.

The two descended to the top of the ravine and looked down. The ravine was steep and sheer, like a knife's edge. Small waterfalls cascaded down to the valley floor.

The river at the bottom of the valley was turbulent. If a human accidentally fell in, they'd be swept away in moments.

Sherry pointed to a spot halfway down the ravine, near one of the waterfalls. "Tiger and his wife are behind that waterfall. Your Majesty, he said he would only meet you. I can only wait here."

"Alright. If I don't return in an hour, you know what to do."

"Yes, Your Majesty. Please be cautious."

Rossweise nodded. Then, in her human form, she spread her dragon wings and slowly flew toward the waterfall.

As Sherry had said, hiding behind the waterfall made it nearly impossible to reach without flight.

Once inside the ravine, Rossweise keenly sensed her magical abilities were somewhat restricted.

Normal magical surges were unaffected, but auxiliary and tracking spells seemed less functional.

The barrier formation was already active here.

Rossweise gently flapped her dragon wings and used a gust of air to part the waterfall before passing through, avoiding getting wet.

Behind the waterfall was an artificial cave, neatly arranged.

The cave contained wooden chairs, wardrobes, a bed, and a simple kitchen, all indicating someone lived there—and lived quite comfortably.

However, there wasn't a soul in sight.

The next moment, the scene in front of Rossweise began to distort.

When the distortion ended, an elderly man with graying temples appeared beside the table and chairs.

No, "elderly man" wasn't quite fitting for his demeanor.

Though he appeared around fifty years old by human standards, simply standing there, doing nothing, he exuded an aura of calm and lethal authority.

Even in the presence of the Silver Dragon Queen, he showed no fear.

His slightly clouded eyes gazed at Rossweise, causing her to feel a bit of pressure.

Countless dragon slayers had fallen to the Silver Dragon Queen's dragonfire, but only one had been special—Leon.

He was the only opponent Rossweise had ever found troublesome. If not for a treacherous ambush, Leon might have led his forces to break through her Silver Dragon Sanctuary.

Now, his master, Tiger Lawrence, carried almost the same presence and imposing aura as Leon once did.

Rossweise also noticed that before the scene distorted, the table held only a few teacups. Now, a long katana had appeared.

The blade gleamed coldly and solemnly, its hilt within reach of the old man's hand—ready for him to strike at Rossweise at any moment.

He was well-prepared.

Barrier magic, distorted illusions, and a critical weapon for a dragon slayer.

This was just what Rossweise could see. There were likely more hidden preparations.

Tiger and Rossweise stared at each other for a moment before he slowly spoke:

"How's Leon?"

Rossweise hesitated briefly, caught off guard by the directness of the question.

After regaining her composure, she nodded. "He's alive."

"For two years, I've been waiting."

Rossweise's thoughts stirred, quickly grasping the deeper meaning of Tiger's words. "You did this on purpose?"

Tiger nodded. "That's right. I was gambling on this opportunity."

Leon had disappeared two years ago during the critical war against the Silver Dragon Clan.

The battle report claimed he had died, but no body was found.

If Leon had any chance of survival, it would surely involve the dragons.

So Tiger waited.

Waited for a chance to draw out the Dragon Queen.

"Aren't you afraid of losing the gamble?" Rossweise asked.

"Frankly, I already considered him dead."

Tiger had known from the moment he first met Leon that he couldn't keep the boy by his side.

When Leon was ten, he sent him to the academy.

Since then, every meeting had felt like it could be the last.

Tiger's gaze remained fixed on Rossweise.

Sensing what he cared about, Rossweise said, "These past two years, Leon hasn't surrendered. But that's no surprise."

"You seem to know him well."

"Of course. He now has only one identity—my prisoner of war."

A top-tier prisoner living for free in my Silver Dragon Sanctuary.

Well, maybe not entirely for free. At least Leon paid "rent."

Tiger snorted. "That brat…"

Two years and still so stubborn. How much suffering had he endured in enemy hands?

"Anyway, knowing he's alive puts my mind at ease."

After a pause, he asked, "What deal did you make with him?"

It wasn't surprising Leon had contacted him, but why would the Dragon Queen help?

There had to be a reason.

Rossweise studied the old man before her. He resembled an aged lion, whose claws and ferocity remained unblunted despite the knife of time.

But he also had a soft side—Leon.

She could sense his care and restraint for Leon.

Care because Leon was a dragon-slaying genius raised by him.

Restraint because centuries of war between humans and dragons made true camaraderie impossible.

Still, the fact that they weren't clashing outright was already remarkable.

"I've completed his request, and Leon has paid the price," Rossweise replied.

"Knowing him, he must've tried every means to escape the empire before this deal, right?"

Oh, not just tried—he'd never stopped.

Rossweise nodded. "He kept trying and failing."

Tiger made no comment.

The brat was lucky just to be alive.

"If Leon escapes within a year, it means your entire dragon clan is useless," Tiger said.

Rossweise raised an eyebrow.

She hadn't intended to let Leon go, but Tiger's reasoning was odd.

Knowing his pupil was alive, he wasn't rushing to save him and even hoped he'd stay in enemy hands longer?

"You're provoking us," Rossweise said coldly.

"You came alone, which means you don't want a fight. Even if you did…"

Tiger calmly stroked the sword hilt. Years of experience fueled his confidence.

"Why not let him return?" Rossweise pressed.

Rossweise narrowed her eyes, studying the human before her.

Decisive, powerful, with his own logic and principles. A force to be reckoned with, even against a dragon king.

The master Leon spoke of and this man were worlds apart.

After a brief standoff, Rossweise nodded. Since he refused to answer, she wouldn't press further.

Anyway, whether it was one year or ten, keeping Leon as her captive was no problem at all.
