Shut Up Dragon! I Don't Want To Have Children With You Anymore

Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Daddy Isn't Picky

"I'll call you when it's ready."

Leon nodded.

Rossweise left the nursery and returned to her own room to prepare breakfast.

It must be said, the queen truly lived up to her title. After flying all night to get home, she still had the energy to make breakfast.

She was practically a special forces soldier among dragons.

She tied on her apron, washed vegetables, chopped them, lit the fire, and started cooking—everything was orderly and precise.

"Luna's beef sandwich, bread and milk for me and my captive, and then... a salad, maybe."

"Cucumber, tomato, onion... and a bit of salad dressing. Hmm? Where did the salad dressing go?"

Rossweise opened the storage cabinet and rummaged around.

"Oh, here it is."

She reached out for the bottle of salad dressing.

However, just as she was about to grab it, she noticed a few...

Carrots.

Rossweise blinked, and a smile appeared on her face.

"Balanced nutrition is important, Dragon Slayer."

———

Over half an hour later, Leon went to Rossweise's room.

Coincidentally, Luna had also returned and was helping carry dishes from the kitchen.

Leon jogged over and took the tray from Luna's hands. "Go wait at the table, Luna. Daddy will handle this."

"Okay, thank you, Daddy!"

Leon, carrying a plate of sandwiches and a few glasses of milk, was just about to leave the kitchen when he noticed a dish on the counter covered with a plate. He gestured toward it with his chin. "Shouldn't we bring that, too?"

Rossweise glanced at it while washing her hands and replied, "No need for now. Just take what you're holding first."

"Alright."

When Leon arrived at the dining table, Luna had already tied her little bib and was ready to dig in.

"Sandwiches~ Yay!" Luna cheered, waving her fork.

Leon placed the sandwiches in front of Luna.

Their own breakfast was simple bread and milk.

Oh, calling it simple wasn't quite accurate. Dragon milk was premium-grade stuff.

Unlike humans, who used regular dairy cows, dragons sourced their milk from Ironclad Yaks.

Those beasts were bona fide S-class dangerous creatures.

For other races, hunting them was a challenge, an honor, and an achievement.

But for dragons, they were just a delicious source of beef.

The milk produced by Ironclad Yaks was several times more nutritious than ordinary milk. Thanks to this, Leon's body had recovered so quickly.

After washing her hands, Rossweise joined them at the table. She removed her apron, pulled down her sleeves, and tidied her hair. "Alright, let's eat."

"Let's eat~" Luna eagerly began cutting her sandwich with a knife.

The side dishes on the table were subtly pushed toward Luna by both parents.

The little dragoness, being young, didn't notice these small gestures from her parents. She only knew that eating heartily made them happy.

She alternated between eating sandwiches and spearing side dishes from the table.

Luna was fully immersed in her food.

Although small in size, young dragons had large appetites. She wasn't yet at the stage where, like Rossweise, she could go days without food and be unaffected.

As she ate, Leon noticed Luna picking out the purple cabbage from her side dishes and placing it on an empty plate.

He didn't think much of it, but Rossweise said,

"Don't be picky, Luna."

Luna paused mid-bite, a bit of sandwich bread stuck to the corner of her mouth. She blinked her big, pretty eyes. "Mommy, purple cabbage doesn't taste good. I don't want to eat it."

"You're at an age where you're growing. Balanced nutrition is very important. Being picky will stunt your growth. Right, Leon?"

"Huh? She can eat whatever she likes—ow! Hiss~"

Under the table, Rossweise kicked his shin.

"What did you say? I didn't quite hear you," Rossweise said, smiling sweetly.

Leon rubbed his leg discreetly and shot the dragoness a glare. To avoid further trouble, he quickly said,"Uh, Mommy's right. Luna, you can't be as picky as you were before. Balanced nutrition is essential for a healthy body."

After a pause, Leon added, "Your big sister never picks at her food."

"Really? Then Luna won't be picky anymore~ It's just purple cabbage. I'm not scared!"

With that, the little dragoness speared a piece of purple cabbage and stared at it like she was facing a formidable foe before popping it into her mouth.

She puffed out her cheeks, clamping her mouth shut as if afraid the cabbage would escape.

After a moment, she managed to swallow it down.

Leon truly had a knack for coaxing his daughter.

But mostly, he just doted on her. "Alright, just one piece is enough. Take your time and eat more sandwiches."

"Thank you, Daddy! You're the best~"

Rossweise smiled faintly, then suddenly seemed to remember something. "Oh, I forgot. There's a vegetable salad I haven't brought out yet. Wait here."

She left for the kitchen and returned with a salad.

Leon recognized the large bowl holding the salad—it was the same dish he'd seen covered in the kitchen earlier.

But Rossweise had just said it didn't need to be brought out, and now she claimed she'd forgotten about it?

Leon swallowed nervously. For some reason, he had a bad feeling about this.

He glanced sideways at Rossweise.

She rested her chin on one hand, nibbling delicately on a slice of bread.

Noticing his gaze, she looked back. "What are you staring at me for? Eat."

"Oh..."

"Luna, try the vegetable salad."

"Okay~"

Luna leaned forward and served herself a small portion of the salad.

"Oh, it's carrots~ We haven't had carrots at home for a long time~"

She speared a piece of bright orange carrot and happily ate it.

Carrots.

Leon's eating movements froze.

The word "carrot" struck him with the same force as his mentor calling him by his full name.

Before he could react, Rossweise added, "Luna, your daddy has been staring at that vegetable salad. What should you do?"

Luna's antenna-like hair tuft perked up. "Serve Daddy some!"

"Good idea. Go ahead."

"Okay~"

The little dragoness happily scooped a portion of salad onto Leon's plate. "Here you go, Daddy."

Leon looked down. Salad dressing, cucumber, tomato, onion, and...

Carrots!!

As expected.

This stuff was no different from an SSS-class dangerous creature.

Leon's hand holding the fork trembled slightly, and he instinctively pushed his chair back a little.

"What's wrong, Leon? Why aren't you eating? Don't you like the salad Luna served you?"

"Uh... Daddy doesn't like it?" Luna's big eyes looked hurt.

Leon pressed his lips together and forced a smile. "No, I like it. The salad Luna gave Daddy is great. Daddy will eat it right now."

"Mm-hmm! Daddy, hurry up and eat~ Carrots are delicious~"

'Damn it.'

'Why didn't you inherit my dislike for carrots?'

Leon muttered inwardly as he poked at the salad with his fork.

He ate everything on his plate except the carrots, then patted his stomach with feigned satisfaction. "Ah~ That was delicious. Thank you, Luna~"

"If it was delicious, why didn't you finish it all?" Rossweise smirked, pointing at the remaining carrot pieces on his plate. "Don't tell me you're picky, too?"

"I... I..."

"Daddy, you just told Luna not to be picky. Balanced nutrition is important."

Luna parroted his words. "Otherwise, your body won't be healthy. Daddy, you're always dizzy, so you need balanced nutrition even more."

"Luna is right, Leon. Your health isn't great to begin with. You absolutely can't be picky about food."

Rossweise's voice was gentle, as if she truly cared about his health—

Oh, she did care.

"Come on, eat up. Don't let Luna worry about you."

She reached out and gently covered his trembling hand with hers. "Taking care of your health is the most important thing."

Then, she mouthed the words: "Hus."

The taste of carrots had already overwhelmed Leon's ability to think straight.

All he knew was that under the mother-daughter duo's coordinated attack, he had no choice but to eat the remaining carrots.

'...Fine!'

'If I have to eat them, I will!'

'A top-tier dragon slayer afraid of a common vegetable? '

'Impossible!'

Leon speared a piece of carrot and bravely stuffed it into his mouth.

The instant the carrot assaulted his taste buds, Leon felt as though he could see his great-grandmother—

Even though he had no idea what she looked like.

"Oh~ Daddy isn't picky. Daddy is amazing~ Then Luna will eat another piece of purple cabbage~"

Good girl, you know how to keep me company.

Rossweise smiled faintly, then casually picked up a whole carrot beside her and took a bite.

CRUNCH—

Leon glanced sideways awkwardly.

Rossweise, chewing the terrifying vegetable with ease, noticed his gaze and deliberately bit off another chunk, slowly savoring it.
