Shut Up Dragon! I Don't Want To Have Children With You Anymore

Chapter 101: Chapter 101: She's Back

Tiger turned around and handed the photo to the other person. "I feel like the word 'good' alone isn't enough to describe his current life."

The woman looked at the photo, her pupils trembling slightly.

After a moment of agitation, she quickly calmed down. "Have you also made up your mind?"

After a brief silence, the former dragon slayer slowly replied,"There's no reason to back down."

Tiger Lawrence picked up the katana on the table, his gaze resolute as he looked into the distance.

"Consider it a meeting gift for my granddaughters."

———

In the evening, Leon sat at his desk, lost in thought.

The mother dragon had been gone for an entire day.

When Leon didn't see her all morning, he felt a bit of excitement, thinking she had gone to patrol the borders again or meet with other dragon kings.

Usually, when she went out like that, it would take two or three days before she returned.

During such times, the entire Silver Dragon Sanctuary was entirely under the dominion of Leon, the Dragon Slayer, Casmodeous.

He could freely go in and out of his room without needing to report to the mother dragon about where he was going or what he was doing. He could also ask the kitchen to prepare more pan-seared steaks that Luna liked or even—

Not hand in his homework.

However, it wasn't until he saw Anna and the other dragon maids in the dining hall at noon that he realized Rossweise hadn't taken anyone with her this time.

In other words, this time, she had gone out alone.

Leon's excitement gradually waned as the afternoon sun set.

By the time evening came, he began to feel inexplicably anxious and uneasy.

It was a sense of emptiness akin to looking forward to a two-month graduation vacation, only to find it boring and uninteresting after just two days.

After dinner, he casually approached Anna.

"Anna, is Noah going back home in a couple of days?"

Anna, while clearing the table, replied, "Yes, Your Highness, you'll soon see Princess Noah again."

"Oh… Uh, cough, did Rossweise mention making something Noah likes to eat?"

"No, Princess Noah isn't picky. She doesn't trouble Her Majesty much."

"I see…"

Leon scratched his forehead and asked, "Speaking of which, Noah's lack of pickiness is quite similar to Rossweise, right?"

Anna blinked, thought for a moment, and said, "Not exactly. Her Majesty doesn't seem to like cilantro much."

"Oh, I didn't expect Rossweise to be picky. Doesn't really seem like her."

The dragon maid suddenly stopped clearing the table, stood straight, and looked at Leon. "Your Highness, is there something you want to ask me?"

Leon froze, thinking his little scheme had been exposed so quickly.

"Ha, ha, what? No, I was just chatting casually."

Feigning nonchalance, Leon then changed his tone and seriously asked, "But since you said that, I do want to ask, do you know where Rossweise went?"

'Casmodeous, your intentions are showing.'

Hearing this, Anna covered her mouth, chuckled lightly, then shook her head. "I don't know either, Your Highness."

"But you're her head maid. How could you not know?"

'Oh, Your Highness, why are you so anxious? Her Majesty is such a capable person; she couldn't possibly get lost.'

Anna replied, "Even as head maid, there are some things I'm not allowed to ask about. Her Majesty could be patrolling the tribes or attending some secret meeting. But if you really want to know, why not ask her yourself when she returns?"

Ask her directly?

But we haven't spoken in so many days. What if she misunderstands and thinks I care about her?

Leon scratched his head. "Alright, then. You can go back to your work."

"Sure, Your Highness. Rest early. Her Majesty might come back a bit late tonight."

Leon waved her off and left the dining hall.

He returned to his nursery room and continued to wait silently.

However, by 10 p.m., there was still no sign of the mother dragon.

As time ticked by, Leon folded his arms and rubbed his eyes.

He continued pondering the matter that had been on his mind for hours.

Anna mentioned at dinner that Rossweise might be patrolling the tribes.

Leon knew this was possible.

As the leader of the Silver Dragon Clan, it was normal for Rossweise to periodically inspect her people and territories.

But every time she patrolled, she would bring along her maids or some trusted confidants.

This time, however, she left alone.

Could it be that the Silver Dragon Queen also enjoys going undercover and inspecting in disguise?

It had a sense of imperial leadership secretly visiting grassroots levels.

Or perhaps, as Anna mentioned, she attended a secret meeting with other dragon leaders?

What could this meeting be about?

Leon's thoughts drifted to the newlywed couple, Yuna and Kai, whom he had met in Flowing Cloud Valley a few days ago.

During their conversation, Leon accidentally learned that a dragon king named Constantine had been expanding his territory recently by annexing weaker dragon clans, causing numerous small-scale wars and conflicts.

However, in the children's book "Little Stories for Young Dragons," Constantine was portrayed as a hero who expanded territory for the dragon clans.

This meant that Constantine's achievements might not be for the greater good of the dragons but rather for his personal hunger for power.

Now that he was causing such a commotion, it wasn't impossible for Rossweise, as the Silver Dragon Queen, to secretly attend a meeting of dragon leaders to discuss Constantine's recent actions.

But if it were a secret meeting, wouldn't she have at least brought a guard?

This led Leon to conclude: either there was no such meeting at all, or the meeting was so confidential that only dragon kings could attend.

Leon ruffled his hair, finding no clear answers.

Everything was just baseless speculation.

As the night deepened, sleepiness crept in, and Leon yawned.

His gaze fell on the small bear on the desk.

It was a prize Rossweise had grabbed for him from a claw machine in Flowing Cloud Valley.

She had called it a return gift.

Although, in terms of size, the big bear Leon had given her could outweigh ten of these small bears.

Still, it was a gift from the mother dragon's "kindness." How could he not accept it?

Upon returning, Leon initially wanted to place the bear on his bed. But after some thought, it seemed too girly for a grown man to keep a stuffed bear on his bed.

So, he placed it on his desk instead.

Leon reached out, picked up the small bear, and stared into its black eyes, chuckling softly.

"How dare you disappear for so long without saying a word."

Muttering to himself, he put the bear down, walked to the balcony's lounge chair, and gazed at the deep night sky and the Milky Way hanging above.

For a long while, he slowly closed his eyes.

Just as he closed his eyes, a faint purple glow briefly flickered on his chest and then vanished.

At the same time, the Silver Dragon Queen was still on her way back.

As she flew, Rossweise suddenly felt a strange sensation, and her speed abruptly slowed.

"What's wrong, Your Majesty?" Shirley quickly asked.

"Nothing."

Indeed... nothing at all.

The strange feeling came and went quickly, leaving Rossweise unable to grasp it before it disappeared entirely.

Perhaps it was just fatigue from flying for too long.

By her calculations, it would take her and Shirley a few more hours to return to the Silver Dragon Sanctuary, marking two full days and nights away from home.

Luna was fine with her absence; Rossweise often left for days at a time.

But Leon? That guy would probably flip the house after just one day without supervision.

With this thought, Rossweise flapped her wings and accelerated toward the sanctuary.

Shirley was startled, then quickly flapped her wings to keep up.

"Your Majesty… Your Majesty, wait for me! I can't catch up!"

———

The next morning, Leon was shaken awake by Luna.

"Daddy, Daddy, why are you sleeping on the balcony? You'll catch a cold."

Leon groggily opened his eyes, shivering from the chill, and sneezed.

"Ah, Daddy! You caught a cold?" Luna asked worriedly.

Leon wrapped himself in his coat. "No, I'm fine. It'll pass soon."

Luna scratched her head. "Daddy, why did you sleep on the balcony?"

Leon paused, his mind wandering as he tried to recall.

Last night, he had sat on the lounge chair, counting stars and waiting for the light on the adjacent balcony to turn on—

His and Rossweise's rooms were adjacent. If she came back and turned on the light, he would notice immediately.

Anna had said Rossweise might come back late at night.

But by midnight, the light next door remained off.

Leon had fallen asleep without realizing it.

"Oh, Daddy was too tired last night and forgot to go back to bed."

Leon hugged Luna and asked, "Mommy was gone all day yesterday. Do you know where she went?"

"Daddy."

"Hmm?"

"You've already asked me this three times. I really don't know."

"...Did I really ask that many times?"

Luna nodded earnestly, counting on her fingers.

"Once after lunch, once during our run, and again before dinner. Daddy, you don't have to worry about Mommy. She often goes out for work and comes back in a day or two."

Leon coughed awkwardly to hide his embarrassment. "Cough, cough. Alright, Daddy will listen to you."

At that moment, a voice came from the front courtyard of the sanctuary.

"Your Majesty, you're back."

"Hmm."

Hearing this, Leon immediately stood up with Luna in his arms and looked down from the balcony.

Sure enough, Rossweise had returned, accompanied by a silver dragon girl Leon didn't recognize.
