The meeting that I had was with just five kings of small kingdoms.

There were over three hundred different kingdoms in the human race, so this was a small percentage of all the kings that were out there.

But it turned out that this wasn't the only meeting that was called with me.

Many of the kings of the smaller kingdoms actually wanted to meet with me and it turned out that the reason for this was the same as the first meeting. It turned out that they had been in contact with that brother in law of mine and had been sold the same idea.

All of them wanted to become vassal kingdoms of the Kite Kingdom.

I was completely shocked to hear this since it wasn't a small number that wanted to become a vassal of the Kite Kingdom.

Adding them all up, it was around thirty different small kingdoms that wanted to become vassals of the Kite Kingdom.

This was a tenth of the total number of kingdoms in the entire human race.

Only that wasn't the only shock that hit me.

There was something even more shocking that followed.

It was a meeting with kings of two of the medium sized kingdoms.

These medium sized kingdoms were considered kingdoms that had a long history and a decent amount of prestige among the human race. They were completely different from the small kingdoms of the human race.

They were certainly much harder to convince to submit to another kingdom.

But what happened was that they also wanted to become vassals of the Kite Kingdom.

It turned out that the prime minister and chancellor had somehow convinced them that they would be better off following the Kite Kingdom as vassals.

It had to be noted that the geographical positions of these two kingdoms were close to the Kite Kingdom, so they were actually in the perfect position to become vassals of the Kite Kingdom.

But who would have thought that kingdoms of their calibre would actually want to become vassals of a small kingdom like our Kite Kingdom?

Many kings viewed becoming the vassals of another kingdom as a disgraceful thing after all.

What it meant was becoming the servants of another person.

And it wouldn't just be them, but also their entire kingdom.

So naturally they wouldn't want to become vassals if they didn't want to be.

The only cases where people were willing to become vassals was if they could have something to gain from it that outweighed the disgrace that came with becoming a vassal.

Such as with the four empires, they would give them resources that were far greater than the disgrace of being turned into a vassal kingdom. With these resources, not only would the nobles of the country, but also the citizens of the country be able to live better lives.

In this case, there were those that submitted to becoming a vassal kingdom.

There were also large kingdoms that could offer the same kind of benefits to small kingdoms.

But has anyone heard of a small kingdom offering this kind of benefit to a medium sized kingdom?

It just didn't make any sense at all that they would agree to become a vassal of our Kite Kingdom.

So in the end, I had to ask, "Are you sure that you want to do this? I don't think that there's anything for you to gain from this."

"We're certain that this is what we want." The two of them said to me when I asked this question.

The way that they said it was as if they had no hesitation at all. It was as if they had long come to this decision and they wouldn't back down from it now.

It really made it hard for me to reject them since I'm sure the prime minister and chancellor had already promised something to them.

In that case...

"Alright, I'll accept your offer to become vassal kingdoms." I said with a sigh.

"Thank you, your majesty."

Both of them responded with excited voices that really didn't seem to fit the tone.

After all, they were medium sized kingdoms that were becoming vassals of a small kingdom.

It really seemed like they were the ones that were suffering a loss.

When it was over and there were no more meetings, I suddenly realized that things were much more serious than I thought.

After all, there was still another kingdom that would soon become a vassal kingdom.

There was a kingdom that I was aware of that was being plotted against by the prime minister.

It was the Poppin Kingdom from before.

The one with the tyrant king that had tried to threaten our Kite Kingdom before.

The prime minister had been sending me reports during this time about the things that had been happening in the Poppin Kingdom. Or it was better to say that he was keeping me updated on the things that he was causing to happen in the Poppin Kingdom.

After what happened last time, we had already decided that it was better for the tyrant king of the Poppin Kingdom to disappear. Or else there was no doubt that he would cause trouble for our Kite Kingdom in the future.

That was why we were using the fact that he was a tyrant against him and inspiring the people of the kingdom to rebel against him. We were inspiring them to stage a coup and take down

the tyrant king.

When the time came, we would send our troops to help them take down that king.

However, it wasn't as if we could leave that throne empty after taking down the king.

There had to be something to take the place of the king after he was displaced or the Poppin Kingdom, one of the large kingdoms of the human race, would collapse.

That wasn't something that could be allowed to happen since that would just weaken the human race as a whole.

In a time of danger like this, this was the last thing that could be allowed.

So the only thing was to lift up another to take the place of the tyrant king.

We had already found that someone and had convinced them to become a vassal of our Kite Kingdom afterwards.

That meant a large kingdom would also become a vassal kingdom of the Kite Kingdom.
