Inside the General Manager's office! Xu Feng walked in.

"Ms. Jiang, the vice president of Jiang Group is still sitting in the reception room. Should we send her away with some excuse, or let her continue to wait?" Xu Feng asked.

Jiang Xiaorou glanced at the time, only to realize that several hours had passed. Having just been transferred to the branch office in Country F, she was indeed very busy and didn't expect to have left Jiang Yufei out in the cold for so long. She wondered if that woman was about to explode with anger now.

Xu Feng went to the reception room.

"Has your general manager finished with his duties? It's just about lunchtime, how about I treat you, and we can chat while eating!" Jiang Yufei, seeing Xu Feng arrive and thinking there was good news, was eager to engage.

"Sorry, Ms. Jiang, our general manager doesn't have the time to see you at the moment; he has several video meetings to attend. Would you like some lunch? Our company's food is quite good, or maybe you can come back another day," Xu Feng asked.

Xu Feng's intention was clear. He hoped that Jiang Yufei would take a hint and leave, as continuing to wait would be a waste of time.

"May I ask bluntly, your general manager doesn't intend to invest in Jiang Group at all, right? He wants me to take the hint and leave." Jiang Yufei suppressed her emotions.

She was indeed angry. After waiting all morning and not even seeing a face, she was sent away by a mere assistant—who wouldn't be angry?

"I can't guess the general manager's thoughts. As for whether you want to keep waiting, that's up to you to decide," Xu Feng said, then turned and left.

He didn't need to explain too much to Jiang Yufei. They were both people that understood the business world; saying more would be pointless.

Jiang Yufei had no choice but to leave. It seemed unlikely she would meet the person in charge today, so she would have to devise another strategy. She would not give up because giving up would mean that Jiang Xiaorou would enter Jiang Group as the vice president, and Jiang Yufei would have to kneel before her and call her dad. "Jiang Xiaorou? What are you doing here?"

In an instant, Jiang Xiaorou transformed into a little drama queen, quickly swallowing the rice in her mouth and jumping up like a brown-noser, grabbing Xu Feng's trotters and shaking them incessantly.

"Jiang Xiaorou, do you really think making a scene here will get you a meeting with the General Manager? How naive! Business isn't done by being unreasonable. I thought you had some real skills, but turns out this is all you've got!" Jiang Yufei said with a smug look.

Such arrogance, simply nauseating. Xu Feng could see clearly now—these two obviously had deep grudges. Since that was the case, he definitely had to side with Jiang Xiaorou.

"I haven't seen their General Manager, but that doesn't mean I won't be able to make a deal, acting as if you've met him." Jiang Xiaorou was equally disdainful.

After all, they couldn't stand each other and had gotten used to it.

"Heh! Who said I haven't met them? I was just meeting the General Manager of TM, who wasn't in the office but working out in the gym! Where do you think I got all this sweat from?" Jiang Yufei's ability to lie was off the charts.

She must have forgotten that Xu Feng was still standing right there.

Jiang Xiaorou was about to die laughing. She had never been one for working out her muscles, let alone gymming—Jiang Yufei must've thought the General Manager of TM was some kind of handsome guy! This was definitely the funniest joke Jiang Xiaorou had heard all year.

"So you were exercising with the General Manager of TM! Impressive, quite fitting for Jiang Yufei's persona," Jiang Xiaorou mocked, clearly improved in her sarcasm.

And she signaled Xu Feng with her eyes, telling him to stay out of it. Xu Feng immediately understood and kept his mouth shut tight.

"I know you're just jealous of me, trying to choke me with these kind of remarks. It doesn't matter, with just one more step, the contract will be mine. Jiang Xiaorou, the defeated will always be the defeated, even if you return after disappearing for five years, you still can't beat me, and soon you'll be kicked out of Country F." Jiang Yufei twisted her hips and walked away in her high heels with pride.

Just look at that proud little figure. Xu Feng nearly wished he could go over there and snap her waist.

After Jiang Yufei left, Xu Feng began to speak.

"Ms. Jiang, why didn't you just tell her straight up that you are the General Manager of TM Group? That woman is too arrogant, always trying to step on you. If you had told her, she probably wouldn't dare to talk nonsense in front of you again," Xu Feng said.

Jiang Xiaorou smiled. She extended her delicate hand, and Xu Feng obligingly placed a cigarette between her fingers.
