Chapter 731 - 731: A Familiar Figure
Chapter 731: Chapter 731: A Familiar Figure
“Sister-in-law,” Bella Stuart said, bored as she pressed the TV remote control, switching channels from beginning to end, but not finding a single show she liked.
“Hmm.” Emily Walker leaned back on the sofa, looking equally listless.
The two of them leaned against a row of cushions, then turned their heads to look at each other.
“Bored, huh?” Bella asked.
“Hmm.”
“Then why don’t we go out and have some fun?!” Bella suddenly perked up. Not being able to see Leonardo Bryson was now a given, but going shopping would be better than the two of them staring at each other in the house all day!
At her suggestion, Emily’s interest was piqued as well.
For more than a month, she had been bored to death!
“Great!” she agreed without hesitation.
The two of them grinned, then got up and prepared to go out for a good time.
“Let’s go!”
They went upstairs to their respective rooms, changed into outdoor clothes, and left the house.
Since they had come out late, it was already approaching noon, and Bella hadn’t done much shopping before she started to feel hungry.
Emily didn’t mind. Recently, she didn’t feel like eating anything and didn’t get hungry easily.
But seeing Bella’s pitiful expression, she couldn’t help but suggest, “Let’s have something to eat first.”
“Okay!” Bella’s eyes lit up at Emily’s words.
She had been hungry for a long time!
The two of them chose a fine dining restaurant and sat in a private booth. They both ordered a steak.
Bella, who was apparently starving, ordered an extra dessert.
Emily hadn’t had steak in a long time, and she didn’t think there would be any problem, but just as the waiter brought the steak, she couldn’t help furrowing her brow. A wave of nausea hit her.
“Um—”
Bella was eating with gusto and noticed Emily suddenly covering her mouth. She realized Emily was experiencing morning sickness again.
“Are you okay? Um…” Bella glanced at the steak in front of Emily, wondering if it was really that repulsive at the sight of meat. “Do you want to order something else?”
Emily pressed her chest, trying to suppress the nausea, “It’s okay, I can’t eat it anyway—um!”
Before she could finish, Emily rushed to the restroom in the restaurant.
Seeing her like this, Bella couldn’t help but feel sorry for her.
Upon reaching the restroom, Emily vomited violently for a while before feeling better. She looked up and saw her reflection in the mirror.
It seemed that she would have to avoid meat if she wanted to stop this morning sickness. In just a short month, she felt that she had lost a lot of weight.
Emily cupped her little face, looking left and right in the mirror, and suddenly noticed a familiar figure through the mirror.
Turning her head, she saw Rosanne Nichols, who was about to enter the restroom.
“Sister Rylee?”
Rosanne, who had been walking with her head down, glanced up as she heard a familiar voice and was also surprised to see Emily.
“Emily? What are you doing here?”
Emily smiled, “Bella and I came here for lunch. What about you?”
“I’m here for lunch too, but…” Rosanne thought of the blind date match waiting for her at their table and her head ached. Suddenly, she asked, “Emily, is it just you two?”
“Hmm.” Emily nodded, confused by her question.
“Can I join you guys?”
PS: My dears, I’m feeling really sick today, so this is all I can update for now.
