Sakamoto days : The Heinous Flower

Chapter 6: chapter 6

Chapter 6

A day later

Growing up, I never had friends. Most of my time was spent rotting away in my father's dojo. The wooden floors, the scent of sweat and varnish, and the constant echo of strikes and shouts were my only companions. While other kids were out playing or hanging around in groups, talking about how much they liked tits and butt cheeks, I was stuck practing kata after kata until my muscles burned and my mind went numb.

But it was after I killed my father that I realized just how lonely I truly was.

Oh, and I had a dog named Ryo. May God rest his soul.

"So yeah, that's why I think I'm the prettiest man in this cafeteria," I said, casually holding a cigarette between my fingers, leaning back in my seat at the lunch table. I exhaled slowly, letting the smoke curl into the air.

I turned my gaze toward the guy sitting across from me—Sakamoto, buried in a book like the rest of the world didn't exist.

"So, four-eyes, what do you think?" I asked, tapping ash from my cigarette onto the floor.

He didn't even glance up at first, flipping a page with a calmness that made my teeth grind. Finally, feeling my gaze burning into him, he looked up, adjusting his glasses.

"Huff… what does that even have to do with anything you said?" he asked, his voice carrying a mix of irritation and genuine confusion.

"You son of a bitch!"

The sudden shout in my ear made me flinch. I turned my head sharply, only to see Rion standing there, holding a plate with what looked like a steak on it." My mom isn't a bitch "I said raising my my right eyebrow at her

She clicked her tongue in irritation. " just how the fuck did you smoke a whole pack in a minute ?!!" she asked slamming the plate down on the table " you owe me one "

Looking at the steak on the plate, Sakamoto raised an eyebrow. "Where did you get that from?" he asked.

Rion pointed toward the machine at the end of the shooting range in the cafeteria. "You have to shoot the small target in it to get a receipt for what food you want."

I squinted at the menu displayed on the target. "There's only one thing... what the hell is a JCC bowl?" I muttered as I squinted my eye's even more

Rion shrugged, not looking particularly bothered. "I don't know. I never miss the steak."

I glanced at the machine again, then back at her. "I hope you choke on it," I said, standing up and walking toward the shooting range.

Rion didn't even flinch, her eyes still fixed on her steak. "Fuck you, asshole," she muttered, cutting into her meal.

I approached the range, pulling a flare gun from my pocket. The sudden sight made the few people around me gasp in surprise.

"A flare gun in a shooting range??" one of them asked, eyes wide with disbelief.

"Oh, it's the cool guy from yesterday... augh i have diarrhea"

I paused, sweat trickling down my forehead as I aimed the flare gun. But then, I stopped, and with a sigh, I walked back to my seat. "Yeah, I'm not paying 500 yen for a steak," I muttered to myself, shrugging off the urge.

"Bhahaha..Broke as-." Rion burst out laughing as she saw me walk back, but her laughter quickly turned into choking as she struggled to catch her breath.

Without thinking, I raised my hand and smacked her back as hard as I could. The force not only sent her sprawling to the ground but also shattered the table in the process.

Without missing a beat, Sakamoto effortlessly sidestepped Rion's falling body and strolled toward the shooting range, completely indifferent to what happened earlier

The room went dead silent. Everyone stared, their eyes darting between the shattered table and Rion, now lying flat on the floor, motionless.

Sweat trickled down my forehead as panic began to set in. I scanned the area, noticing every pair of eyes fixed on me in shock and disbelief.

"It wasn't me," I blurted, raising my hands in mock innocence. The weight of their stares didn't lighten.

A cough from Rion interrupted me, breaking the tension as she groaned and slowly sat up, clutching her head. "Ugh... what the hell was that for?"

"Oh, thank God." I wiped the sweat from my forehead, relieved she was okay. "I thought you choked—"

But before I could finish, Rion pulled out a gun from seemingly nowhere and started shooting.

The cafeteria erupted into chaos, students ducking under tables and scattering as bullets flew. I dived behind the nearest overturned table, peeking out just enough to see her stomping toward me, her aim was terrifyingly accurate

"YOU BROKE BITCH! THAT ALMOST KILLED ME!" she screamed, firing off another round, her eyes blazing with fury.

I scrambled behind an overturned chair, trying to avoid the bullets "im sorry ok ? Calm down you whore"

Before she could fire again, a commanding voice echoed from the doorway. "Alright, Rion. You can stop now."

Everyone froze. The air grew heavy, the room's earlier chaos fading into a sharp, oppressive silence. All eyes turned toward the entrance.

Standing there was the Aikido GILF from yesterday, her arms crossed, her stern expression cutting through the tension like a blade.

"You two," she said, her voice cold and commanding, "come to my office. Now."

Rion stiffened, muttering a barely audible, "Crap..." under her breath.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I cast a glance around the room. Everyone avoided eye contact, clearly thankful they weren't the ones being summoned.

"Great," I mumbled, shooting Rion a glare. "This is your fault."

"Shut up," she hissed, clutching her gun tightly, trying to look anywhere but at me.

The teacher's eyes narrowed. "You too Sakamoto ."

Sakamoto, who had just finished retrieving the steak receipt from the machine, froze for a moment before sighing. "I didn't even do anything ! "

طThe three of us stood before the professor's desk, his sharp gaze cutting through the tension like a knife. Behind him, stacks of papers and a steaming cup of coffee sat untouched, the room quiet except for the faint ticking of a wall clock.

"So, as I was saying, this bit—girl," I corrected, clearing my throat, "was bullying me for having no friends. I didn't like that, so I pushed her slightly, which accidentally resulted in a broken table. Then, out of nowhere, this four-eyed fucker lunged at me..." I pointed dramatically at Sakamoto, whose veins visibly throbbed at the accusation. "Idiot thought I was playing with her, haha!"

"BULLSHIT!" Rion's shout cut through the air like a whip, her face red with fury. "You're twisting the story to make yourself look innocent!"

The professor raised a hand, silencing her. His face remained impassive, but the faint twitch of his brow betrayed his growing irritation. "Enough. Both of you."

Rion huffed, crossing her arms but staying silent.

Sakamoto adjusted his glasses, finally speaking up, his voice low and measured. "For the record, I did not lunge at him. I was just minding my own business at the shooting range." He held up the steak receipt like it was a court document. "And frankly, I'd rather be eating than dealing with your nonsense."

I smirked, leaning back slightly on a desk behind me "Sure, keep pretending you weren't itching to throw hands. It's okay to admit you wanted a piece of it."

The professor sighed deeply, rubbing his temples. "Hufff... alright I will give the three of you a warnin-

Bang!

The sudden crash of something falling echoed through the room, followed by the fluttering of papers cascading to the floor.

All eyes turned toward the source of the noise. Behind the professor's desk, Kasumi was sprawled on the ground amidst a mess of scattered books and papers.

"Bwahahahaha!" Rion doubled over, clutching her sides as she pointed at him. "How do you even manage to screw up standing still? Are you a kid?"

Kasumi shot her a glare, straightening up as he dusted himself off. "How do you manage to be a whore without trying other jobs?"

The room went silent for a moment.

Rion froze, her laughter dying instantly. Then, her eye twitched. "What did you just say?"

"You heard me," Kasumi said, crossing his arms and smirking. "I'm just saying you skipped a few steps in career development."

"Alright, that's it!" Rion shouted, pulling her gun with a wild glint in her eyes.

The professor slammed his hands on the desk, the sharp crack of wood silencing the room instantly. His voice boomed, cutting through the chaos, "Enough!"

We froze, and for a moment, the only sound was the faint rustling of the papers scattered around Kasumi's feet.

The professor took a deep breath, his glare hard enough to pierce through steel. "I've had it with you three," he growled. "Congratulations—you're all expelled!"

Rion's jaw dropped, her gun wavering. "Wait, what?"

"I didn't do anything " Sakamoto scratched his head

I blinked in shock, raising a hand as if I could rewind time. "Hold on! I didn't even do anything this time!"

The professor's eyes locked onto me with deadly precision. "You. Be quiet!"

Rion pointed at me furiously. "This idiot's the reason I pulled my gun! I'm innocent!"

"You pull your gun on everyone!" I snapped back.

Sakamoto sighed heavily, muttering to himself, "Why am I even here?"

The professor massaged his temples as though his skull was about to split. "Enough. Get out. Now."

"Expelling three promising students in the first week? That's a bit excessive Koiwai sensei" came a calm, familiar voice.

Everyone turned as the Aikido teacher stepped into the room

Mr. Koiwai's frustration wavered for a moment, his posture stiffening. "Th-They've been nothing but trouble since day one, Satoda-sensei. I'm simply enforcing discipline."

Satoda-sensei raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with quiet authority. "It seems you've forgotten that this school was created specifically for energetic kids like them.and more importantly Expulsion is not your call—it's the principal and vice principal's job to decide, not yours."

"B-But they're busy right now!" Koiwai stammered, his composure cracking under her gaze.

Satoda crossed her arms, unimpressed. "Then you'll have to find a better way to deal with situations like this"

Sakamoto rubbed his stomach again, the sound of it growling echoing through the room. "I'm hungry," he muttered.

Satoda chuckled lightly, shaking her head. "Oh... haha," she said, waving off the moment. Her expression shifted to something more serious as she glanced at the clock on the wall. "Don't you guys have two classes left?"

"Thank you, sensei! I love you!" Rion blurted out dramatically, clasping her hands together

' phew ... that was close ' kasumi thought wiping the sweat from his forehead as I left the office

2 hours later

What I did earlier this morning was shitty of me... blaming four eyes and harassing that bitch I should apologize to them—or maybe invite them to dinner or something.

With my hands shoved deep in my pockets, I trudged through the corridor. The dull hum of the lights above filled the silence, my footsteps echoing softly against the polished floor.

As I reached the end of the hallway, I noticed a faint noise—like muffled voices—coming from around the corner. Curiosity tugged at me, and I slowed my pace, leaning slightly to peek around the corner.

It was Rion and Sakamoto, standing by the vending machines. Rion was smacking the side of one, cursing under her breath. "Piece of junk ate my coins again!" she hissed, giving it a swift kick.

Sakamoto stood beside her, looking as calm as ever, his hands in his pockets. "You realize kicking it doesn't help, right?" he said, his tone dry.

"Shut up, four-eyes." she snapped back, though there was a faint grin tugging at her lips.

I hesitated for a moment, debating whether to approach them or slip away unnoticed. Guilt gnawed at me again, pushing me to make a choice.

Before I could decide, Rion glanced my way, catching me mid-step. Her grin disappeared instantly, replaced by a mocking smirk. "Oh, look who's here," she said, crossing her arms. "The gorilla himself."

"Mhmm," Sakamoto nodded, his eyes narrowing slightly, an edge of quiet disapproval in his gaze.

I scratched the back of my neck, feeling awkward under their combined stares. "Uh... hey. Look, about earlier—" I started, my voice hesitant.

"You mean when you almost broke my spine?" Rion interrupted, her tone sharp but not entirely hostile. "And, thanks to you, we missed lunch period."

"Mhmm" Sakamoto crossing his arms

I scratched the back of my neck, feeling awkward under their stares. "Uh... hey. Look, about earlier—" I started, my voice hesitant.

" My bad." I apologized

They exchanged a glance, as if silently deciding whether to forgive me or make me squirm longer. Rion finally shrugged. "Well, at least you admitted it. That's rare for someone as thick-headed as you...though it rarer to see a gorilla talk bwhahah"

Sakamoto nodded slightly, his expression softening. "Apology accepted. Just don't drag me into your mess next time."

"Deal," I said, relieved. As a peace offering, I dug into my pocket and held out a 500-yen coin. "Here. For the vending machine. On me."

Rion raised an eyebrow but snatched the coin anyway. "Better than nothing, I guess," she muttered, heading toward the machine with an air of indifference.

Sakamoto glanced at me, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Dinner's still on you, though."

I groaned, rubbing the back of my neck. "Yeah, yeah."

'Keep dreaming, pussy,' I thought, rolling my eyes internally.

Then, out of nowhere, I blurted, "So, Rion... you got any tattoos you wanna show me?"

The words left my mouth before my brain could catch up. 'Who the hell starts a conversation like that?' I screamed internally, cursing myself.

Rion froze mid-step, her hand hovering over the vending machine buttons. She turned slowly, her Yellow eyes narrowing at me. "Hah !?...What kind of question is that?" she asked

Sakamoto raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching as he clearly held back a laugh. "Smooth" he muttered, the corner of his mouth betraying a smirk.

'What was smooth about it ? '

I waved my hands defensively. "It's just… I mean, people have tattoos sometimes. It's not weird to ask!"

Rion snorted, crossing her arms. "Yeah, well, maybe try asking in a way that doesn't make you sound like a creep next time."

"Noted," I muttered, cursing myself. Dammit, I'm the worst.

Rion raised an eyebrow, leaning casually against the vending machine. "And what're you doing here? Shouldn't you be home by now?" she asked, her tone half-curious, half-dismissive.

'I could say it doesn't concern you,' I thought, but instead, I shrugged and replied, "Oh, I'm searching for my dorm."

She blinked, then burst out laughing. "Wait, you don't even know where your dorm is?"

Sakamoto joined in with a soft chuckle. "Typical," he said. "Didn't they send you a map on your phone?"

I glared at them, straightening up. "I know where my dorm is, you imbeciles."

Rion raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening. "Oh really?"

"Do you take me for a tard?" I shot back, crossing my arms defensively.

"Yes," both of them said in unison, their deadpan delivery making it hit twice as hard.

I stared at them, mouth slightly open, trying to process the audacity. "Well, my dorm is number 4. Do you know where it is?"

Rion's eyes widened, and she suddenly exclaimed, "That's my dorm! Please change it!"

"I like the number... you change it," I shot back with a smirk, feeling a bit of satisfaction from the exchange.

"Hah... keep dreaming," Rion scoffed, crossing her arms, clearly not impressed.

Sakamoto pushed off the vending machine, his hands in his pockets as he walked away. "Whatever, it's not like I care... toodles," he called over his shoulder, his voice tinged with indifference.

I watched him go, then turned back to Rion, who was still glaring at me.

"Alright, rock-paper-scissors. The winner stays, the loser kills themselves," I said.

She scowled, clearly not amused. "That's not fair... and living in the same room with a girl is inappropriate."

I raised an eyebrow. "You're a girl?"

Rion's eyes widened in disbelief at my comment. For a moment, it seemed like she couldn't decide whether to scream or hit me. Instead, she grabbed my collar, yanking me closer. "You bastard... you think you're so fucking funny?"She bited her lower lip

I stayed quiet, letting her anger wash over me without a reaction. Then, without a word, I slapped her hand off my shirt and started walking again,

"OI! BASTARD! I'M STILL TALKING TO YOU!" she yelled, her voice sharp with frustration.

I didn't bother turning back, quickening my pace instead. The sound of her hurried footsteps followed me, but I ignored her.

I sighed inwardly. The last thing I wanted was to get dragged into another pointless argument.
