Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 160: The Eternal Rain

"We're so glad you're back home. How did you escape the Dark Pillar?" the woman asked, inviting Thalenia to visit their Nymph village.

Miki noticed that there were no monsters roaming the Slyph rainforest. She found out that the monsters were projections of the illusionary magic created by the Nymphs. They created monstrous and huge monsters solely to protect the place.

Now everything was so clear, Miki killed the monsters but she didn't get anything from them, either damage or EXP. Miki flew low near Thalenia to come with her, and so did Arthur.

Just as Arthur was about to follow Thalenia into the village, he was surprised by a magical plant attack that attacked him. Arthur was startled, bringing his hands forward to form a magic shield.

The plant's magic attack was successfully blocked and shattered after colliding with Arthur's purple magic wall. Their flight stopped, the three women carrying Thalenia looked back with an intimidating look in their eyes.

"No human should enter our place," the woman replied, threatening Arthur.

Thalenia tried to persuade the woman by saying that Arthur was the one who had saved her. But their hatred of humans had blinded them to any truth.

To them, humans were a place of sin and evil, they didn't belong in the Dark Pillar Tower. It created tension in the place, between Arthur and the three women.

Thania was in a dilemma, she had to choose between Arthur or her race. She did like Arthur as her master and the one who freed her, but the desire to meet her race family had been pent up for a long time.

Miki saw the look on Thania's face as she felt confused and had difficulty choosing. The woman flew up and stood directly before Arthur, confusing the woman.

"Don't get into a fight with them. They are precious to Thania," Miki explained.

"I know."

"Wait somewhere else. I'm sure, with your skills, wild monsters won't threaten your life, right?" asked Miki.

Arthur sighed softly as his hands clasped around his waist, his head bowed and shaking gently to the right and left.

He didn't expect the conflict between the two races to be so intense this time, the Nymphs seemed to be a race that really hated humans.

"Alright. It's up to you, Miki," Arthur complained.

"Thank you. I'll take care of Thania while she's there," Miki explained, Arthur agreed.

Miki flew back to Thania and the three women of the Nymph race. She explained that Arthur would be away for a while, Thalenia was curious about where he was going, but Miki smiled while holding the woman's shoulders, as if to say everything was fine.

"Alright. I trust you," Thalenia said.

Before saying goodbye, Thalenia asked Arthur not to worry about her. She would be fine with the family of the Nymph race. The man responded ignorantly, nodded slowly and flew away.

Arthur's departure from that place made the ability of the Sky Power fade. The eternal rain poured down again protecting the forest with its raindrops, the fog was thick with tropical rainforest monsters appearing again.

Being inside the protection area, Miki and Thalenia did not get rained on, as if there was a transparent magic umbrella spread above them.

Thalenia was greeted like a hero who had just returned from the battlefield; they introduced themselves as part of the Nymph race that had managed to survive.

"Where is my family?" asked Thalenia, curious.

"You disappeared for a long time and made them worried. They decided to enter the Dark Pillar to look for you," explained the woman who escorted Thania inside, Nyxie.

There was one important thing to know, the entire Nymph race was female. Their growth starts from childhood, adolescence, to adulthood.

They will not experience a moment of aging or old age, their age will increase but their faces will remain young.

Nyxie, Philise, and Nerisha. The three of them are women who pick up Thania in the sky, the age of the three of them being the oldest, around 700 years old. The youngest was 24-year-old named Ilanara.

"We've been waiting for hundreds of years, but they never came home. I'm sure they became one of the bosses on the Dark Pillar floor," Nyxie replied, feeling sad.

"You can put them aside. Tell me more about you, how did you escape the Dark Pillar?"

Thalenia took a deep breath, looking back precisely at the forest area filled with mist and illusory monsters.

The direction of her eyes was not to stare at the trees, but to look in the direction of Arthur's departure.

"It's because of Arthur. That human helped me get free."

Elsewhere, Arthur stood silently with his eyes closed in a stone cave in the outer area of the tropical forest.

He would wait in that place while releasing slight fluctuations of his magic into the cave sky, useful for repelling monsters sensitive to strong magic.

'If they can survive for hundreds of years that way, it's possible that other races do the same,' Arthur replied.

'Humans get too caught up in what they see, but ignore the truth behind it,' Arthur said.

'It's best not to get into trouble with them, I don't want Thalenia to be sad again.'

Day turned to night, Arthur was still there with a vigilant attitude. The magic ball that was deliberately flown on the roof of the cave was still working, providing a constant blast of magic power to drive the monsters away. It was effective, the law of the jungle still prevailed in their instincts.

They wouldn't want to attack someone stronger than them. They would go scared away on their own ignoring any significant potential prey.

Thalenia's servant duration was about to expire in another hour, Arthur smiled. He opened his eyes and got up from sitting cross-legged as he stretched, sitting on the stone floor of the cave for more than six hours was enough to make his buttocks and legs numb.

Just as Arthur was about to retrieve the fluctuation magic ball, he sensed a swarm of powerful magic auras flying close to this area. Through his aura sensitivity, he detected seven people coming.

"What are they doing?" asked Arthur, stepping closer to the cave mouth.

From where they were, they saw seven men in green and white uniforms arriving at the place. They were not part of the three major groups, but rather a small group living on this floor.

"I sense the fluctuations of those mythological races here. It is said that this place used to be the city of the Nymphs," one of the men replied.

"If we can find their whereabouts, then we can summon hundreds of mythological race servants who can help our group," said another man, a member of the team.

Just as they were watching around the Sylph rainforest area, one of them had a sensor detection talent. Through his eyes, he saw a distortion of space that caused the rainwater to fall unsteadily, a glitch.

"There seems to be a magic barrier created within the forest. We must—"

WOSH!

With a lightning-fast pace, Arthur's figure arrived in front of the seven men. He stared at them with both hands behind his back, showing his authority as a Venerable Sage.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" one of them asked.

"You'd better leave this place. That's the magic barrier I created to protect my student's training."
