Chapter 152: A Long Day for Everyone
Violet lightning struck right at the apex of Dark Azazel's spear blade, focusing on it with great intensity. The Great Elder narrowed his eyes with a frown, curious about what Aaron was doing.
Aaron took a deep breath and breathed out slowly. His left hand released Dark Azazel's spear and let it fly into the thunderous vortex of black clouds. The magical boom grew stronger, and purple light began to dominate the thunderous cloud.
The Great Elder and Gunther sensed something dangerous in the rumbling purple cloud. Not wanting to take any chances, the two activated their best-shielding magic, bringing it up right before them.
The Great Elder brought forth a projection of a castle with large, thick walls, manifesting his thoughts and talents. The image was so huge that it was enough to protect those around him.
In contrast to him, Gunther brought forth a giant red snake with black patterns and heavy scales. The snake's form was so large that it could wrap around the Great Elder castle's magic.
It was their best defence strength, both of them confident that they could overcome the attack from Aaron's great power. The magnificence of the defense made hundreds of people rise to their confidence.
Aaron squinted, feeling that their magic aura had increased as long as they were in the protection of the castle walls. The man noticed the Great Elder's power was accompanied by a significant buff increase.
"Such power has no place against me!" declared Aaron.
He clenched his right fist tightly, activating the five rings on each finger. Each ring glowed brightly with a distinct color, based on its power -the power of the five elements, except for the light.
The Solus ring was the fire element ring, the Umbra ring was the darkness element, the Zephyr ring was the wind element, the Terra ring was the earth element, and the Seraphis ring was the water element. All of these rings and elements belonged to high-level magic, which differed from other mages' basic elements.
The man raised his right hand, letting the five-element magic flow and enter the rumbling violet cloud. The gusts of wind grew stronger with such intense magic pressure, several Knight Templars were trembling in fear even though they were protected by two high-level defense magic from Gunther and the Great Elder.
In the blink of an eye, the rumbling clouds expanded and gave rise to a giant-sized dimensional portal with a black color full of magic streams inside. They lifted their heads, seeing Aaron's spear emerge in gigantic size.
The five elements previously released floated around the area of Dark Azazel's spear, giving a terrifying and heart-stopping impression to anyone who saw it. The Great Elder mustered all his strength to reinforce the castle wall's defenses.
"Bring it here, Aaron!" said Gunther.
"Face your own fate!" declared Aaron, swinging his hand straight down to command a giant Dark Azazel spear to shoot powerfully from the sky to crash into their defensive wall.
A powerful magic pressure was formed around the spear, along with a huge, terrifying wind. Flames lashed out and burned everything in its path, waves of water trailed the spear's force from behind, razor-sharp rocks shot forward to deliver the first blow to the defensive wall, and dark energy absorbed every counter-magic attack from the Knight Templars aimed at Dark Azazel's giant spear.
The gravitational pressure was severe when the tip of the spear's blade was close to their feet. Gunther vomited blood and knelt in the sky, struggling to maintain his magic.
The Great Elder felt the same pressure, his hands shaking violently with the sleeves of his robe shattered into tatters from Aaron's wind elemental cuts.
"HYAAAA!" shouted the Great Elder, filled with great desire and ambition.
Dark Azazel's spearhead came into collision with Gunther's giant snake magic. The epic clash of magic led to the boom of a magic pressure wave felt throughout the city, destroying anything in its path.
Sokia and Liel saw Aaron's battle. They could only gawk at the man single-handedly challenging the powerful people in the city.
Liel raised her head, seeing a completely different Aaron compared to the one she knew before, complete with a terrible aura of darkness.
"Is this Aaron's power?" asked Liel, shocked.
"His power is enormous. He can raze a large city like the 10th floor city in a single night!" said Sokia.
Liel lowered her gaze to the city's southern gate; many city people were trying to escape the city's destruction. Small children were trampled, women were crushed in the crowd, and men were selfishly escaping without regard for those around them.
At the crucial moment, Dimension Justice and Sky Sword chose to leave to protect themselves and their group. The Guild office staff had to work extra hard to control the crowd trying to escape.
The boom of magic pressure from the two powers clashing was felt all the way to the near the city gate wall. The city wall cracked and crumbled, the big ruins falling on the people at the gate.
Screams of agony and pain echoed in the place, the total number of casualties increased tremendously, and the two major groups chose to be ignorant of this massacre.
Liel felt sympathetic, but there was nothing much she could do. She alone could not save the hundreds of thousands of people trapped inside the city.
"This is a terrible disaster. It's horrible!" Liel emphasized.
"Apparently, Aaron doesn't care anymore. Isabella's death seems to have struck his heart and mind enough," explained Sokia.
At the epicenter of the battle, the Great Elder felt his strength almost drained. He looked forward with blood flowing through his mouth and both eyes -straining his abilities beyond his body's limits.
Aaron's giant spear still hadn't shattered, not even a scratch. Gunther felt like he could no longer withstand such power. The giant snake's thick-scaled defense was destroyed and left Gunther with a fatal wound.
[Damage +1,850,000]
A damage panel appeared before Aaron. The amount was extremely high, almost reaching 2000000 damage. With such power, Aaron felt no one could match his current power.
COUGH!
Aaron coughed up blood. His right hand covered his mouth and looked at the blood on his palm. As Aaron had thought, this amount of power was still unable to be controlled by his body. If he kept letting the fight go on any longer, the power could destroy his body.
Cracks appeared on the walls of the Great Elder's castle. The Knight Templars tried to help by transmitting their power. Still, it had no significant impact. Aaron clenched his left fist, ordering Dark Azazel's spear to pierce through the castle wall.
CRUSH!
The castle wall shattered into pieces of magic like falling glass. The Great Elder bulged his eyes to see the tip of Aaron's giant spear blade aimed at him. He tried to block it by using the Blood Rune, but it was too late.
BOM!

A powerful explosion was created. A blast of five-element magic spread throughout the city, bringing down all the buildings, killing living creatures and burning the land to a charred black.
Hundreds of thousands of people died within seconds of the explosion. Gunther died, the Great Elder died, Ernest died, and innocent people died.
A mushroom cloud from the magic explosion was generated in the city's centre, soaring to an altitude of 20 km until it shocked many people outside the city walls.
"STAY AWAY FROM THE CITY!" Andrew shouted at everyone, and they obeyed what the Captain of the 10th Sky Sword said.
Sokia took Liel to leave the place as far as possible, as they thought the explosion's impact would spread outside the city walls.
Sure enough! The outer area's trees burned and fell under Aaron's magic pressure. The blast injured Sokia and Liel, but they recovered with HP Potions.
Andrew managed to protect some of the Sky Sword members. A total of 57 people survived; the rest were trapped in the city and might die from the explosion.
"It will take hundreds of years to rebuild this city," Silviana explained, sighing with exhaustion and pain.
"A huge risk taken for betraying the agreement. I didn't expect Aaron's arrival to bring a word of destruction to the city," Andrew chimed in.
"Do we need to tell the branch in Lilith City about this?" Silviana asked.
"Tell them, but don't mention any hostility towards Aaron. We have a good friendship with him, and that's worth more than anything!"
Aaron was still flying above the 10th-floor city sky unharmed. He looked at the area around him; no buildings were still standing. Everything was left in ruins and razed to the ground.
No living creatures were still alive in the closest radius of the explosion epicenter. Within seconds, they had turned to ash and died, the casualties no longer counted in the thousands.
