Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

Chapter 1008 AND IT STARTS

1008  AND IT STARTS

"MOTHER, FATHER, you don't have to worry," Nero said, sighing. "I can take care of this."

After receiving Melvin's report about the Hazelden Kingdom's current status, he immediately headed to his private 'Broadcast Room.'

His parents followed him and sat behind him, admiring the newly built room in his palace.

Neoma named the Broadcast Room since it was her idea to build that room with Trevor Kesser's help. His twin sister asked the Sorcerer to turn the walls into video cameras connected to their closest allies.

The wall in front of Nero's seat at the moment was connected to Hazelden Kingdom.

"Neoma already expected that the crows will attack Hazelden because Regina Crowell is there," Nero explained to his parents. "We already talked about what to do before she felt."

"Even so, I still want to watch how you work," his father said. "We'll leave and return to the Spirit World once your mother and I judge that you'll really be fine without our help."

Nero let out a sigh. "I'm already the emperor and yet Father and Mother still treat me like a child."

His parents spoke at the same time while saying the same things.

"You are still a child, Nero."

Haaah.

"But I don't see him, Nero," his mother said curiously. "I was expecting to see the older Emperor Nero."

Oh, that ghost.

"The ghost in the Imperial Shrine," Nero answered his mother politely. "I don't know why, but he seems to be interested in the ongoing renovation there."

"That "ghost" is something other people can see," his father said sternly. "You made sure that he won't be recognized by the Imperial Mages, right?"

"Yes, Father. And Melvin is there. Although he's a crybaby, he's good at his job— he won't let people recognize the ghost."

"Very well."

All of them stopped talking when the screen in front of them finally got activated.

A few moments later, King Glenn's pale face appeared on the screen. Even so, the king looked calm and composed.

As expected of the former emperor's former Paladin.

King Glenn looked surprised after seeing the former emperor and former empress, but he quickly caught himself and greeted all of them politely.

His Majesty looks relieved to see my father and mother with me.

"Let's skip the formalities, sire," Nero said bluntly. "What's the current situation?"

"The crows sent an army with at least a thousand fighters," King Glenn said. "However, they claim they are only here to retrieve Miss Regina Crowell."

Nero scoffed. "Hazelden Kingdom didn't even kidnap Regina Crowell in the first place. They're just picking a fight with you."

"That's what we also assume, Your Imperial Majesty."

"Do you need the empire to send you reinforcements?"

"Thank you for the offer, but we already got the reinforcement that we need, Your Imperial Majesty."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Trevor Kesser is here, Your Imperial Majesty," King Glenn said, smiling. "And Princess Neoma already prepared the perfect allies to help us drive the enemies away."

Nero raised an eyebrow, but he nodded since he already expected that from his twin sister. "I see."

But I didn't expect Trevor Kesser to be at Hazelden Kingdom.

But maybe Nero shouldn't have been surprised that the Sorcerer was "lost" without Neoma there.

"I just have a request, Your Imperial Majesty."

"Speak."

"I will send my queen and our youngest son to the empire," King Glenn said in a serious tone. "May I ask for Your Imperial Majesty's Order to escort my family to House Exton?"

Right.

Queen Brigitte needed to give birth in House Exton's estate.

I wonder how the king convinced his queen to leave while the kingdom is under attack.

"Very well," Nero said, nodding. "I will open the portal that connects your kingdom to the Imperial Palace, sire."

"HONEY, please don't do anything reckless. You better stay safe until I return. Moreover, don't let anything bad happen to our daughter."

Glenn nodded firmly. "Of course, my queen."

It wasn't easy to convince his wife to leave the kingdom while they were under attack.

But Brigitte agreed to go to the empire after Monik, their daughter, saw a vision.

["Mommy and Claude have to return to House Exton. Mommy needs to retrieve something from Grandpa's house. It's a treasure that Mommy has to bring to our kingdom for our safety."]

That was Monik's prophecy.

It was vague, but their daughter couldn't remember anything else from the vision that she had seen.

Of course, they didn't force Monik to remember what she couldn't.

Our precious daughter has already done more than enough.

"I will find the treasure that Monik saw in her vision," Brigitte promised determinedly. "And then I will return to help you protect our kingdom, honey."

Glenn smiled and nodded. "I will be waiting for you, my queen."

Her queen smiled back at him.

He then squatted down to meet Claude's eye level.

"Son, protect your mommy and your little brother, okay?"

"Yes, Daddy! I will protect Mommy and our baby angel!" Claude answered cheerfully. "Please protect Monik Noona!"

Monik insisted on staying in the kingdom.

But, in the end, they decided to let their daughter stay.

I can always send Monik to the empire if things get dangerous here.

"Of course, I will protect your sister."

"I don't want Daddy to get hurt either," Claude said. This time, even though his voice sounded cheerful, the fear in his eyes was evident. "Please stay safe, Daddy."

"Don't worry, son," Glenn assured Claude. "Your daddy won't die here."

***

"WHAT KIND of sorcery is this?"

Haaah.

Neoma knew that she should be worried now that the two Lewis were facing each other.

Yep, I brought the (not) Lewis to the basement prison where the other Lewis is locked up.

Her "son" looked indifferent while the (not) Lewis looked shocked.

"We're too alike," the (not) Lewis said while looking at the other Lewis. "I don't care why you're here. But if you hurt His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince, I will never forgive you."

Oops.

Lewis made a disgusted face after realizing that the (not) Lewis was fiercely loyal to the Nero of that world. "Ew. Disgusting. Your loyalty."

It was the (not) Lewis' turn to look disgusted. "Why are you speaking like a fool?"

And Lewis looked shocked after being called a 'fool' by the (not) Lewis.

Pfft.

Neoma couldn't help but laugh at the two Lewis' encounter.
