Chapter 1: Rhythm of the city



A six-year-old boy sat in the backseat of the car laughing and very excited. His father Jamal, a music enthusiast had surprised his son with a concert party ticket. Jaxon was lucky to have searched for a father who loved music and also loved entertainment and could send him to concert parties and other entertainment event.

As they arrived at the venue, Jaxon opened his eyes as he walked with his father, Jamal, through a crazy street in Houston Third Ward. The resonance of jazz and blues is heard from a nearby park, attracting them to follow the sound.

Where are we going, Dad? Jaxon asked his father.

Son we are going to experience the the most attractive concert party in Houston. Jamal replied to his son, and a smile on his face.

As they turned Jaxon's eyes fell on a huge number of people gathered in the park. At the moment the environment changed and Jaxon was happy to have this different feeling in his life. The air blew strongly, and the music grew louder making Jaxon hear the song well but had never heard the song before. Jaxon's father led him through the crowd and they found a spot near the stage, where they could see what was happening on the stage.

As they settled to watch the show, the performers took the stage, and the music began.

As the concert went on Jaxon found himself tapping his feet and clapping along the beat. His father was happy, he smiled noticing his son's energy and enthusiasm.

During the interlude, Jaxon turned to his father with wide eyes and told his father: Dad I want to do that. He exclaimed pointing his finger to the stage. His father asked, want to be a musician? Jaxon replied loudly, yes I want to make people happy through music.

His father rubbed his hair that's good, son we we'll see what we can do to support you achieve your goal. The reply Jamal gave to Jaxon, made him happy and also boosted his confidence to become a musician.

As the concert resumed, Jaxon felt a spark ignite with him. He knew that he wanted to be part of world music.

As the night was still young and the concert continued, Jaxon and his father still enjoyed the music and lively environment.

The music attracted them, they danced and sang along and even met some of the musicians. They met the singer, a woman with a very good voice. Jaxon was happy to see a great person like her. After they had a conversation she handed a guitar to Jaxon.

Jaxon widened his eyes took a look at the guitar and felt the weight and the texture of the guitar. He relaxed for a moment then he began to play along with the music. There was a loud noise from the crowd. The lead singer was surprised to see a small boy at this age who was able to play the guitar with ease.

Not bad at all, she said, patting the back of Joxon's. You've got rhythm, small boy.

As the crowd made the noise, Jaxon filled with confidence and encouragement, he played with all his best. He continued to play the guitar and lost in the music. It was even time for the musicians to take a rest.

As the night continues, Jamal and his son too a break, drinking some soft drinks and the air of the cool evening.

Jaxon turned to his father with his idea and a thoughtful expression.

You know something, father, it has Been my pleasure, maybe it's time for me to start exploring my musical interests. Jaxon, I will support you, Jamal replied.

Jamal was happy to hear that from his son, he smiled and said ''Of course son, music has its special way of bringing joy to people and connecting them with others.

Jamal said to his son, If you said you want to explore your musical interest, will encourage you to pursue it.

Jaxon grinds feeling a sense of excitement and appreciation. Thank you Dad this means a lot to me.

They hugged. The music started again and the crowd began to cheer again

Jaxon and his father joined in, singing along to the beat and dancing.

The night wore on, filled with joy, music, and memories that Jaxon could cherish forever. As they walked home hand in hand. Jaxon looked at his father's face was smiling and filled with happiness and said to his father best night ever, Dad.

Jaxon eyes were shining brightly with flashes of light and was very excited, as he went to bed, the sound music was still echoing in his mind.

Jaxon woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed and inspired. He rushed off his bed willing to start his day to explore his interest in music.

He headed to the kitchen for breakfast, he saw his father sitting at the table sipping a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper.

Good morning Dad,

Morning son, Jamal responded, looking up and smiling, did you sleep well son? Yeah, Dad, I had an amazing time last night. He poured himself a bowl of cereal.

Jamal smiled, am glad you did. You know I was thinking maybe we could look into getting you music lessons.

Jaxon eyes widened in excitement. Dad? That would be awesome.

Jamal smiled, I will look into it, son. Why won't you start exploring different types of music? See what you like.

Jaxon smiled broadly, feeling a sense of anticipation and possibility. I will do it, Dad. Thanks for supporting me.

As they finished breakfast, Jaxon felt a sense of appreciation and love for his father. He knew that would always count on Jamal to encourage and support him, no matter what.

And with that, Jaxon's musical journey started, filled with excitement, discovery, and unwavering support from his father.
