Reverend Insanity: The Gacha System

Chapter 89: Slave

After that incident, the Mo family's Mo Yan came to Fang Yuan to ask for an apology but was rejected. Furious, Mo Yan used Gao Wan to try to kill Fang Yuan, but Fang Yuan remained calm, knowing the situation fully and being far more powerful than the memories he had from his past life at this point. He was now at the Middle Stage of Rank 1.

He wasn't afraid of a lowly mortal. Instead, he devised a plan to make the Mo family submit to him.

Fang Yuan killed Gao Wan in the academy, just as he remembered from the original timeline. Afterward, he sent Gao Wan's head to the Mo family head along with a message: "Let's talk. I will be visiting your family."

Gu Yue Mo Chen was livid upon receiving the message but had no choice but to accept. Fang Yuan had cleverly threatened to expose the fact that Mo Bei had cheated during the awakening ceremony. Such a revelation would cause the Mo family's reputation to crumble, forcing Mo Chen into a corner. Left without options, Mo Chen ordered his family servant to personally deliver an invitation to Fang Yuan.

Satisfied with the progress, Fang Yuan opened the Gacha System once more to spin gacha. The spinning lights flashed, and the results unveiled themselves. Among the prizes, he obtained the Guts Gu, an extremely valuable consumable Gu that would serve as a foundation for increasing his soul's resilience and growth. Along with it, several recipes for low- and mid-tier strength and transformation path Gu worms were absorbed directly into his mind. To top it off, 5,000 primeval stones entered his inventory, giving him more than enough resources for his immediate needs.

Without wasting time, Fang Yuan activated the Guts Gu. A powerful surge coursed through his soul, reinforcing its foundation and making it more robust. He felt his soul's strength increase, providing a more stable base for future cultivation.

With preparations complete, he left the house and headed toward the Mo Family Quarters. Upon arrival, a servant greeted him at the entrance and silently guided him through the winding corridors of the Mo estate. The dim lighting and heavy atmosphere did little to distract Fang Yuan, whose focus remained sharp.

The servant led him to a large chamber and stepped aside, motioning for him to enter. Inside, Gu Yue Mo Chen sat regally on a high-backed wooden chair at the center of the room. His cold gaze locked onto Fang Yuan the moment he entered. However, the room contained no other chairs.

Unfazed, Fang Yuan calmly walked to a corner where a dusty wooden box lay forgotten. He picked it up, dusted it off with his sleeve, and placed it down with a soft thud. Without hesitation, he sat on it, crossing one leg over the other as if he were the one in control of the situation.

"Let's talk," Fang Yuan said, a faint smirk gracing his lips.

Mo Chen's eyes narrowed slightly, his fingers tightening around the armrest of his chair. He had deliberately ensured there was no chair for Fang Yuan to sit on, hoping to subtly assert dominance and remind the younger man of his place. But seeing Fang Yuan calmly use a wooden box as a makeshift seat, completely unbothered, only fueled his irritation. However, suppressing his anger, Mo Chen opened his mouth, unwilling to let his emotions derail his control of the situation—for now.

"What do you want, Fang Yuan?" Mo Chen asked, his voice edged with suspicion and restrained hostility.

"I want you. Submit to me and become my servant," Fang Yuan replied, his tone cold and composed. As he spoke, he closed and opened his eyes, activating the Geass Eyes. The glowing sigil projected forward, locking onto Mo Chen's gaze.

Mo Chen tried to speak, his lips parting slightly, but the sigil flared brighter, silencing him instantly.

Mo Chen's body tensed as he felt the overwhelming force invading his mind. He struggled, veins bulging on his forehead as he attempted to resist the mental chains wrapping around him. But no matter how fiercely he fought, the power of the Geass Eyes was absolute. His resistance crumbled, and the moment his will broke, his body slumped slightly.

Breathing heavily, Mo Chen's eyes dimmed before regaining focus. They now reflected the obedience imprinted by the Geass. He knelt instinctively, his previous hostility replaced by silent submission.

"I, Gu Yue Mo Chen shall be at your service to death."

"Good," Fang Yuan said, a cold satisfaction in his voice. He leaned slightly forward, the weight of his gaze pressing down on Mo Chen. "Here's what I want from you. You will bring me corpses—Gu Masters, mortals, or any living beings that can be harvested. Don't ask questions, don't hesitate. Just deliver them to me regularly."
"Yes, Master."

After hearing Mo Chen's response, Fang Yuan turned, as his footsteps echoing through the silent hall. He walked out of the Mo estate with a sense of calm control, his mind already calculating the next steps.
