Chapter 211: Attacking Wolfhead Mercenaries

On the way from the armory to the main gate of the Wolfhead Mercenary headquarters, Mu She strode with authority.

The long spear Mu Li wielded reflected a faint gleam in the sunlight, emphasizing his status as a feared leader.

Behind his, ten loyal members followed with discipline, forming a neat line. Mu She looked like a general ready to lead an army into battle.

Suddenly, their steps came to a halt as a member sprinted from the direction of the field hall. His body was unsteady, his shoulders covered in blood, before finally collapsing before Mu She.

Mu She furrowed his brows, his gaze piercing the injured man. "What's going on? Why didn't you gather in the hall like I ordered? And why are you injured?" he asked in a tone full of authority.

The man panted, trying to catch his breath as he stammered. "Boss... Ji... Ji Lan! He attacked! Mu Li and Mu Heng... along with the others... they tried to stop his!"

Instantly Mu She's expression changed. His eyes narrowed, full of anger mixed with suspicion. "Huh? How dare he!" he muttered coldly before turning to his troops. "Follow me!" he commanded firmly, quickening his pace towards the field hall.

Arriving at the field hall, Mu She's steps suddenly halted. A horrifying sight greeted his, making the air around his feel suffocating.

The lifeless bodies of Wolfhead Mercenary members littered the ground, fresh blood pooling on the surface of the field.

The bodies weren't just dead: they were brutally dismembered, like slaughtered animals that had lost their dignity.

Amongst that grim scene, the few surviving members appeared to be severely injured, their bodies rolling around in agony. Their faces were pale, terrified, as if they had faced a demon in human form.

However, Mu She's attention was immediately drawn to the center of the field. Two figures stood with panting breaths, finding it difficult to stand properly.

Mu Li and Mu Heng looked pitiful, their bodies covered in blood, gaping wounds on their skin, and hands holding weapons trembling uncontrollably.

Before them stood El, otherwise known as Ji Lan, with a cold expression devoid of compassion. His body remained erect, although the purple Dou Qi aura that enveloped him was slowly fading.

His eyes looked straight at Mu She, full of terrifying calmness, as if conveying a message: "This is just the beginning."

The White Fire in El's blood-soaked hand was gripped tightly, creating a terrifying contrast with his calm aura.

Mu She gripped his spear firmly, his anger peaking. "Ji Lan... you've gone too far!" he said in a loud, threatening voice.

But El only gave him a glance, his smile thin but frightening. "Is this too far? No, this is just the beginning," he replied coldly, ready to face the mercenary leader.

El stored the White Fire back into the Sky Pearl Poison, but the bright purple Dou Qi was still flowing ferociously through his body.

He watched Mu Heng and Mu Li exchange glances with each other for a moment before both of them immediately attacked without hesitation.

Seeing the attack, El immediately lowered his body, avoiding their sword slashes.

In an instant, Dou Qi rushed into both his hands. The right fist aimed at Mu Li, while the left fist struck Mu Heng.

"Octane Blast: One pile explosion," El said coldly, his tone like piercing ice.

CRACK!

The sound of bones crunching was clearly heard. Mu Li and Mu Heng spewed fresh blood from their mouths, their bodies thrown like puppets without control.

In their trajectory, the two men's bodies slammed into Mu She, who was trying to catch them.

The impact was too strong. Mu She, along with the ten members at the back, were blown away like dry leaves in a strong wind.

They all fell down in a heap, leaving the field hall filled with dust and a momentary silence.

Mu She rolled a few meters until he hit the stone wall of his base hard. He felt a sting in his arm. "Ugh," he hissed, realizing his hand was cracked from withstanding the impact.

Looking up at Mu Li and Mu Heng, he saw them lying unconscious, their bodies covered in severe external and internal wounds, with purple-colored traces of Dou Qi energy burning their skin.

Mu She's eyes were red, filled with burning rage. "Ji Lan!" he shouted hatefully, his voice echoing in the field hall.

Meanwhile, El stood tall in the center of the field, his hands covered in purple Dou Qi raised into the air. With a cold expression, he clenched his right hand tightly.

"Explosion," El said briefly.

In the next second, Mu Li and Mu Heng's bodies exploded violently. Blood and fragments of their bodies flew out, littering the field with a horrifying sight.

Mu She who had sharp instincts immediately jumped to the side, avoiding the explosion. However, the emotion inside his overflowed even more, erasing all logic.

"Bastard!" shouted Mu She, gripping his spear tightly. "YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!"

With a hateful glare, Mu She darted towards El, his body blazing with the enveloping wind Dou Qi like a small storm.

El remained standing in place, unmoved. His cold eyes watched Mu She calmly, like a hunter who already understood his prey's every move.

The Dou Qi in Mu She's body flowed faster and faster, adding to the speed of his movements. With one swing of his spear, he mobilized all his energy, creating a huge slashing wave that swept through the air.

"Wind Blast!" he exclaimed. The wind Dou Qi slash slammed into the air, creating a ferocious roaring pressure, as if it was about to swallow everything in front of it.

El sighed softly, letting his body be enveloped by the purple flames of the Zixuan Spirit Flame. With a practiced movement, El took out the White Fire sword from the Sky Poison Pearl.

The purple flames immediately enveloped the White Fire sword, pulsing in rhythm with his Dou Qi energy.

Without hesitation, El elegantly rotated his body 360 degrees, gathering momentum before swinging his sword in one sharp motion. "Heki-ra no Ten," he said coldly.

Instantly, El's slash produced a massive wave mixed with purple flames that shot out at high speed.

BOOM!

A powerful collision occurred when the two attacks met, causing a burst of energy that shook the field.

However, El's power dominated. Mu She's wind waves split apart, seemingly meaningless in the face of Dou Qi mixed with El's purple Zixuan Spirit Flame.

"What!?" exclaimed Mu She, shocked to see his attack destroyed so easily.

However, there was no time to dodge as El's slashing wave was already almost touching his body. Frantically, Mu She strengthened the Dou Qi layer of the wind cloak protecting his body, preparing to withstand the inevitable impact.

BOOM!

A wave of energy slammed into Mu She's body with brutal force, pushing him several meters back, while burning him with blazing purple flames.

Although the layer of Dou Qi shattered and slightly cushioned the impact of the attack, Mu She's body still shook violently. A sharp pain radiated throughout his bones, and his body was badly burned.

With limping steps, Mu She stared at El in horror, a hoarse voice escaping from his throat. "Monster..." he said with intermittent breaths, before finally his body fell down, burning and crumbling into ashes.
