Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 490: Origin Pass

As the system notification prompt appeared, Xu Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

In this chaotic and intense battle, he managed to achieve 100 consecutive hits on the Warden's Critical Flesh Points without any miss.

The amount of concentration and action required for such a feat was extremely arduous.

Just one mishap and he would have to restart everything. The worst part about it was keeping the Warden in the dark regarding his tactic. Otherwise, once it adapted and learned of his objective, the chance of him getting to do it again was null.

While Xu Feng could finally take a breather, the Critical Damage Application was starting to show its effect.

The Warden staggered, its stone surface cracking under the immense pressure caused by his relentless assault. The accumulated damage from each precisely placed hit caused its stone structure to show cracks, with its foundation being weakened tremendously.

Now, it was on the brink of collapse, and Xu Feng had no intention of giving it any room to recover.

"Finish him off, Flint." He instructed, clearly exhausted from the constant dodging and concentration on the everchanging Critical Flesh Points position on the Warden's body.

Chirping excitedly, Flint flapped his wings and zoomed straight to the weakened Warden, unleashing his full fury.

KABOOM!

A loud explosion consumed the battlefield after a few collisions, and the reason why Xu Feng knew Flint had succeeded was because his experience points bars were rising hard and fast.

Given the fact that the Warden had not been touched by his teammate and was solely killed by Xu Feng and his pet, he received 90% of the experience points.

Despite being in a team with them, the Divine World was very fair, allowing the team leader to decide on how experience points are shared. They could choose to be shared equally among them, a fixed percentage, or based on contribution to the killing.

Being the fair and just Raid Leader and Team Leader, Xu Feng naturally chased the contribution shared, meaning no one else was allowed to complain if they received little or nothing at all.

Why should they get anything if they contributed nothing?

This stands true even if they supposedly kill steal (KS) the monster by last hitting it.

The experience gained was so massive that Xu Feng rose straight to 32, only stopping a little bit halfway through the bar.

'As expected… this Warden is an abnormal Elite Enemy.' He thought to himself, realizing that this particular Warden was way too good. It could have been classified as a boss already if it weren't for its insubstantial health points when compared to an actual boss' health points.

Shortly after the Warden collapsed into a pile of stones, there was a glowing white item that caught his attention.

Alarmed, Xu Feng hurriedly rushed toward the loot, nearly losing his composure in the process. As he extended his hand and reached for the glowing white item, he hurriedly inspected the item by spending a few coins.

To his astonishment, the inspection of the item required a gold coin.

"This couldn't be that, right?" He took a deep breath to calm his emotion and smoothly deposited the one gold coin for the inspection. The inspection was another one of the system features, but one money-grubbing feature.

After all, as players advanced to higher levels and encountered some unknown yet seemingly mysterious items, they could either go to a Specialist or use the system feature to identify the item.

With Inspect, the item would then be revealed to the players, allowing them to know its use and background information.

And depending on the item's rarity, the cost of inspection would vary.

Of course, going to a Specialist might be cheaper, but they were usually discreet NPCs and hard to find. You might know their location, but they could also be unavailable at the moment.

Not to mention, Xu Feng was too eager to know if this item was the one he had been trying to search for.

Sure enough, once the inspection lasted for a minute, the item name was revealed: Origin Pass.

Aside from the name, nothing else was listed. Had it been any ignorant players, they might have cursed immediately and called it a scam.

However, Xu Feng was currently smiling blissfully behind his mask.

'No wonder this Warden was that difficult. It was the holder of the Origin Pass.' Realization dawned upon Xu Feng and he breathed a sigh of relief.

The difficulty of the raid hadn't changed, but this Warden was actually a secret boss within the dungeon— a secret boss that contained the Origin Pass that he desperately wanted.

For those unaware, Xu Feng's reason for choosing a Cleric was because the Origin Pass was the passageway to unlock the hidden class, namely Origin Cleric.

Not much information had been released about this, but this was something Xu Feng discovered in his past timeline— just a few days before being kicked out of the Reaver Guild.

This kind of information was learned through a ragged scripture text found within a ruin, and Xu Feng chanced upon it after falling into a trap.

Initially, Xu Feng wondered if he should reveal this critical information to the Reaver Guild, but hesitated after learning they had been acting quite weird.

His decision would soon prove to be the correct choice, given days later after his long internal debate, was a notice of termination.

'How glad am I that I never told them about the matter of the Origin Pass.' Xu Feng grinned wickedly as he stored the Origin Pass. He would keep this information to himself solely.

"Chirp!"

Amidst his daze, he heard Flint chirping and rubbing its head against his arm.

Then with his tiny paws, he pointed at his teammates who were still struggling somewhat. Its eyes and expression were filled with anticipation, almost as if he wanted to join the fight and not stay in the Pet Space.

"You want to assist them?" Xu Feng inquired softly.

"Chirp Chirp!" Flint chirped joyously while flapping its wings back and forth excitedly.

Pondering for a moment, Xu Feng sighed and nodded in the end. 'With this Origin Pass in hand, I don't mind revealing Flint.'
