Reincarnated as Itsuka Shido: Collecting Spirits as Lovers

Kotori happily hummed as she walked down the corridor of their house, her white ribbons swaying gently with each step, a clear sign she was in her Imouto Mode. Her school uniform was crisp and neat, her steps light and brimming with energy.

She was making her way toward Shido's room to wake him up. It had been quite a while since she'd last done this, and she couldn't contain the excitement bubbling inside her.

Meanwhile, Reine had volunteered to wake Tohka, leaving Kotori free to handle her older brother. Kotori's mood was positively radiant as she reached Shido's door. Without any hesitation, she pushed it open, not bothering to knock as such formalities didn't apply to her, especially in Imouto Mode.

"Onii-chan! Wakey, wakey!" Kotori's cheerful voice rang out as she stepped into the room.

Her smile was dazzling as she looked at her sleeping brother.

"Onii-chan better be grateful I'm going to all this trouble just to wake you up," she mused silently, her lips curling into a playful smirk.

However, as she took a few steps closer, something peculiar caught her attention. Shido's blanket wasn't lying flat as it normally did. Instead, there was a noticeable bulge, as if… something big was under it.

Kotori froze, her cheerful mood faltering slightly as her curiosity piqued. Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly as a glint of suspicion sparking in them. "What's this?" she muttered, stepping closer to the bed.

She leaned her body over while her small hands reached cautiously toward the edge of the blanket. Whatever it was, she was going to find out. "Don't tell me…" she murmured, her face a mix of curiosity, mischief, and a hint of shock.

Kotori gulped softly, gripping the blanket tighter as she readied herself to pull it back. What could Shido possibly be hiding?

As Kotori pulled the blanket back, her face suddenly turned bright red, the color rushing to her cheeks in an instant. She felt her face burning with embarrassment as her wide, disbelieving eyes took in the scene underneath the blanket.

There, Shido's upper body was completely exposed, and his toned chest and defined abs which can make any girl unconsciously gulp was on full display.

But that wasn't the most shocking part, what truly made her face flush scarlet was the sight of Tohka's naked body, embracing him tightly, her arms wrapped securely around his torso as she lay on top of him.

Her face was nestled against his chest, an almost blissful expression on her sleeping face.

"W-Wha…?!" Kotori stammered, her voice faltering as her mind struggled to process the situation. Her embarrassment was quickly accompanied by a growing sense of disbelief. "What is this…?!" she muttered lowly, her hands trembling slightly.

The cheerful mood from earlier had evaporated, replaced by a whirlwind of confusion and indignation as she glared at her sleeping brother and his unexpected "guest."

As Kotori was fuming out her anger, Shido's eyes finally opened as he heard a familiar voice nearby.

His vision was still slightly hazy as he let out a long yawn, finally noticing Kotori standing there. "Good morning, Kotori. What are you doing here so early?" he mumbled groggily, his tone was relaxed as if he was completely oblivious to Kotori's anger.

He had yet to realize the situation he was in or rather, the storm that was brewing around Shido. Unaware of the warm weight pressed against him, Shido remained clueless about Tohka, whose completely naked body was nestled against his, her arms wrapped tightly around his torso while letting out a soft breath with a satisfied smile on her face.

Kotori's eyes twitched as she observed his calm demeanor, completely devoid of guilt or concern. It was as if he genuinely had no idea what was happening.

This ignorance only served to intensify her frustration, her cheeks puffing out as she pouted furiously, looking like a wronged little sister. Tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill over as her emotions overflowed.

"Onii-chan, you idiot!" she yelled, her voice cracking slightly with both anger and embarrassment.

Before Shido could react, Kotori spun on her heel and bolted out of the room, her white ribbons bouncing as she fled.

Startled by her sudden action, Shido blinked several times, his grogginess fading as he sat up partially. "Kotori?" he called out, bewildered by her sudden outburst.

It was then that he finally noticed something or rather, someone hugging him tightly. Even as he shifted to a sitting position, they refused to let go of his bare body."

Meanwhile, as Kotori hurriedly exited Shido's room, she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings because her mind was still on the intimate contact between Shido and Tohka. Kotori felt a mix of embarrassment and jealousy toward Tohka and a hint of irritation toward Shido.

Even though she was the one responsible for Tohka's proactive behavior, she couldn't help but feel envious deep down, as she herself had never been that intimately close to Shido herself.

As Kotori was running she ended up bumping into someone in the hallway, causing her to stumble backward slightly. When she looked up, tears clinging to the edges of her eyes, she found herself face to face with Reine, who was standing there with her usual calm but slightly puzzled expression.

"Eh… Kotori? What's wrong?" Reine said, tilting her head as if trying to make sense of the young girl's teary, flushed face.

She had initially come to Tohka's room to wake her but there had been no response when she called for her multiple times.

Reine then decided to enter Tohka's room to check up on her but upon entering Tohka's room, she found it empty. 

Just as she was wondering whether Tohka was already up, she heard a commotion in Shido's room. Reine became curious as she heard Kotori screaming like a jealous girl so she decided to go to Shido's room.

As she walked towards the direction of Shido's room, Reine accidentally bumped into Kotori who was running out of Shido's room.

Before Reine could even ask another question, Kotori let out a high-pitched "Uwaaaaa!" and bolted down the hall again, her tears flowing freely.

Reine stood there, feeling even more confused, her gaze following the girl's retreating figure.

When Reine arrived at Shido's doorway moments later, the scene inside made everything click. She paused in the doorway, her tired eyes scanning the room.

Tohka was still fast asleep while her bare body wrapped snugly around Shido, whose face revealed a bitter smile.

Shido let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his head as a wry smile spread across his face.

"How can I forget about what we did last night...?"

Reine crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at the bizarre sight.

"You're quite good at making things… more troublesome, aren't you, Shin?"

"After Origami, you immediately ate Tohka."

Shido could only laugh awkwardly, feeling her usual tired eyes concealing something dangerous from within making Shido unconsciously quiver.
