Chapter 107: Chapter 107
This week, I read novels for 68 hours lol 😆 😅 😂

"Rin, she... Rin, she..."
Kakashi turned his head away, muttering to himself with guilt.
Obito felt immense satisfaction. Look at you, Kakashi! You killed Rin, the one I was meant to protect! And now you're here trying to play the guilt card over it?
Even if Rin sacrificed herself, you should never have allowed it! Damn it, they were just a few Konoha ninjas—how could their lives matter more than Rin's?
Obito clenched his fists, his hatred boiling over. Just wait, Kakashi. I'll make you suffer until you die of shame, just like your father!
Toki leaned back at his desk, barely hiding his amusement. At this moment, he really wanted some snacks to enjoy while watching the drama unfold.
But then his expression shifted slightly as he glanced at Kakashi. Despite the chaotic scene, his dislike for Obito, the traitor, deepened.
He suddenly interrupted the tense moment by knocking on the table.
"Kakashi, this guy said he was responsible for releasing the Nine-Tails and even causing the deaths of the Yondaime and his wife. Is that true?"
Kakashi's eyes widened in shock.
"What?!"
Obito stiffened. A second later, he felt the sharp tip of a kunai pressing against his chest.
"Did you kill the teacher?!" Kakashi demanded furiously.
Obito cursed inwardly, then raised his voice in protest.
"I was controlled! Controlled by Uchiha Madara!"
Kakashi froze, his rage giving way to disbelief.
"Controlled by... Madara Uchiha?"
Obito pointed to his chest with a pitiful expression.
"Yes, Madara Uchiha implanted a cursed seal in my heart. It's still here! If you don't believe me, ask the Hyuga clan leader to confirm it!"
Kakashi turned toward Hyuga Hiashi, who frowned before reluctantly nodding.
"It's true. There is indeed a cursed seal inside his body," Hiashi confirmed.
Kakashi hesitated, struggling to process the information.
Obito seized the opportunity and pressed on.
"And Kakashi... I saw what happened that day. Rin... she sacrificed herself because she knew Mist Village's plan. But it was you who dealt the killing blow! I watched it all unfold, and that's when my Sharingan awakened!"
Obito's eyes burned with anger, and his Mangekyō Sharingan flared to life.
"You killed her, Kakashi! You! And because of you, everything fell apart! The Nine-Tails incident, the teacher and his wife... it's all because of you!"
Kakashi stumbled back, his face pale.
"That... that can't be true," he stammered, his voice trembling.
Shikaku Nara and Hiashi Hyuga looked at Obito in shock, their expressions a mix of disbelief and unease.
Toki, however, remained calm, though there was a faint trace of disdain in his eyes. Hmph, as expected of Obito. He's a master manipulator, twisting the narrative and blaming Kakashi without hesitation. He's practically on Sarutobi Hiruzen's level when it comes to shirking responsibility.
Toki sighed inwardly. And Kakashi... you're just as pathetic. You didn't even question Obito's claims. You're already starting to shoulder the blame, aren't you?
He knocked on the table again, cutting through the tension.
"Enough!" Toki's voice was firm. "Whether you were controlled or not is still uncertain, but your involvement in the Nine-Tails incident and the Fourth Mizukage's manipulation is undeniable, Obito."
He turned to Kakashi, his tone sharp.
"Kakashi, from now on, you're responsible for monitoring Obito. He'll be under 24-hour surveillance. Can you handle that?"
Kakashi, still reeling from the revelations, nodded hesitantly.
"Yes, Lord Toki. I'll do my best," he said solemnly.
Obito smirked inwardly, though his face remained respectful.
"Of course, Lord Toki. I have no objections. I'm willing to accept house arrest," he said with a bow.
Hah, as if Kakashi could ever keep tabs on me. What a joke!
Toki waved dismissively.
"Good. Obito will stay in his old home. It's still intact and has been reserved for you."
Obito's expression shifted slightly. He had already gathered some information from Black Zetsu and knew about the Uchiha clan's relocation after the Nine-Tails attack.
So, the new clan compound is the key to their growing power. Interesting. But for now, I'll bide my time.
Obito bowed again, though his mind was racing with schemes.
"Thank you, Lord Toki. I'll do my best to regain everyone's trust."
As Obito left with Kakashi, Toki leaned back in his chair, watching them go with an unreadable expression.
What a mess. But at least it'll be interesting to see how this unfolds.
