These four simple words made Yun’s father smile. His eyes brimmed with deep laugh lines, and noticeable white hairs flecked his temples.
Yun Hao looked at his aging father, “Father, I remember when we were young, you always taught us that ‘when brothers unite, their combined efforts could cut gold.’
Yun’s father recollected the words he imparted to his children. Who amongst them could uphold this lesson? His old eyes saw everything clearly.
Despite raising his children with so much love, he still had to bear witness to his sons’ deterioration of their relationship, estranging each other.
He thought back to his younger days when he had to leave home in search of work, not only because his family was poor, but also due to his own conflicts with his siblings.
