Reborn as Luffy The Pirate King's Return

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Strength for the Journey Ahead

As the celebrations in Cocoyasi Village began to settle down, the Straw Hat Pirates gathered near the Going Merry, the ship now fully stocked and ready for departure. The villagers, still overwhelmed by their newfound freedom, stood by to see them off, grateful for the heroic crew that had changed their fate.

But before setting sail, Luffy had something important to discuss with his crew.

Luffy stood at the center of the deck, his arms crossed, an unusually serious expression on his face. "Alright, listen up, everyone. Before we head to the Grand Line, there's something you all need to know if you want to survive. It's called Haki."

Zoro and Sanji exchanged glances, while Usopp gulped. "That sounds... ominous."

Luffy smirked. "Haki is a power that comes from a person's willpower. It's got three main types: Observation Haki, Armament Haki, and Conqueror's Haki."

"Conqueror's Haki?" Sanji raised an eyebrow.

Luffy nodded. "Yeah, but forget about that one for now. It's rare, and not everyone can use it. The ones you guys need to focus on are Observation Haki and Armament Haki."

He turned to Zoro first. "Observation Haki lets you sense your opponent's movements, changes in your surroundings, and, if you master it to a certain degree, even see glimpses of the future."

Zoro nodded, intrigued.

"Armament Haki," Luffy continued, "is what lets you deal damage to Devil Fruit users like me. It coats your body in invisible armor, making your attacks way stronger. If you're a swordsman, you can even coat your blade and turn it into a black blade. That's especially important for you, Zoro."

Zoro smirked. "Sounds useful."

Luffy then looked at Sanji. "And it's important for you too, Sanji. You can coat your legs in Armament Haki, making your kicks way stronger."

Sanji exhaled a cloud of smoke. "Heh, I like the sound of that."

"So how do we learn it?" Usopp asked, still looking nervous.

Luffy grinned. "You'll learn it by training and fighting strong enemies. Just like I did."

Luffy then shifted gears. "There's also another thing you guys should know about—the Marine Six Styles."

"The Marines have techniques?" Sanji asked, raising an eyebrow.

Luffy nodded. "Yeah, they use six different abilities that make them crazy strong. If you guys learn even a few of them, you'll get a lot stronger."

He began listing them off:

Soru – A movement technique that lets you move so fast you almost vanish from sight.Geppo – A way to kick off the air itself, letting you jump midair.Tekkai – Hardens the body like iron to withstand powerful blows.Shigan – A finger-based attack so fast and strong it feels like getting pierced by a bullet.Rankyaku – A powerful air slash created by kicking at high speeds.Kami-e – A technique that makes your body limp, letting you dodge attacks fluidly.

"If you all learn these along with Haki, you'll be unstoppable," Luffy declared.

Zoro cracked his knuckles. "I like the sound of that."

Sanji nodded. "This training better not interfere with my cooking."

Usopp looked like he wanted to cry.

Luffy just grinned. "Alright! Now that you all understand, it's time to go to our next stop—Loguetown."

With their destination set, the Straw Hats said their final goodbyes to Cocoyasi Village. Nami, who had been embraced by Nojiko and the villagers one last time, stepped onto the Going Merry with a warm smile. "Alright, let's go!"

As the sails unfurled and the ship drifted away from the island, Luffy stood at the helm, gazing toward the horizon. "Next stop, Loguetown."

Zoro smirked. "That's where I'm gonna get my new swords."

Sanji exhaled. "And what's in Loguetown for you, Luffy?"

Luffy grinned. "My old man."

The crew's eyes widened in shock, but Luffy just laughed. "You'll see when we get there."

With their training goals set and their next destination in sight, the Straw Hat Pirates were ready to continue their adventure, stronger than ever.
