Reborn as Luffy The Pirate King's Return

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: The Sea Monster's Wrath

The Going Merry rocked as the enormous sea cow, Momoo, bellowed, its massive frame cutting through the waves like a moving mountain of muscle and rage. The Straw Hats stood ready, eyes locked on the monstrous creature blocking their path.

"W-what is that thing?!" Usopp stammered, gripping the ship's railing.

Johnny and Yosaku were already panicking. "That's Momoo! A sea beast under Arlong's control! We're done for!" Johnny yelled.

Luffy, on the other hand, only grinned. "Heh, looks fun."

Sanji lit a cigarette, exhaling calmly. "A giant sea cow, huh? That means it's edible."

Momoo let out a guttural growl, eyes burning with aggression, and surged toward the ship, massive jaws opening wide. The sea churned violently beneath its weight, creating waves that rocked the Going Merry. The crew braced for impact, but Luffy moved first.

With a casual leap, Luffy rocketed off the deck and landed squarely on Momoo's head. The beast flailed, confused, shaking its head violently.

"Calm down, big guy!" Luffy laughed, stretching his arms. "I got somethin' for you!"

Before Momoo could react, Luffy reeled back his fist. "Gum-Gum Pistol!"

The punch crashed into Momoo's snout with a thunderous impact, sending shockwaves through the air. The sea cow reeled back, dazed, before whimpering in pain. Tears welled up in its enormous eyes as it frantically tried to retreat.

Sanji sighed. "Guess we won't be eating steak tonight."

Momoo, thoroughly defeated and terrified, turned tail and fled, splashing massive waves into the sea as it disappeared into the distance. The ocean slowly calmed, leaving only ripples in its wake.

"Well, that was anticlimactic," Zoro muttered, crossing his arms.

Johnny and Yosaku collapsed onto the deck, sweating. "I-I can't believe he just punched it like that…"

Usopp let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Okay, new rule: no more giant sea monsters!"

Nami had remained silent, but her fingers clenched into her palms. She had seen Luffy's strength firsthand, but now it was aimed toward something bigger—Arlong. Her heart pounded as memories of her past flooded her mind.

Sanji, noticing her tension, walked over and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Nami-san, you okay?"

She flinched slightly but nodded. "Yeah."

Sanji smiled warmly. "Don't worry. You've got us now."

Luffy landed back on the ship, dusting off his hands. "Alright! No more distractions. "

The crew exchanged glances, and one by one, they nodded. No more hesitation. They weren't just traveling together anymore—they were a crew, a family. And they would fight for one of their own.

Ahead, Arlong Park loomed in the distance. Dark, foreboding, and waiting for them.

The battle was about to begin.
