While Arthur seemed happy about having a smartphone and enjoying its many wonders, he quickly showed me something important and shocking.

"Yeah using these artifacts is very entertaining…" Arthur nodded. "There's even an application to watch videos… which are like recorded events! And they're very interesting! Though, I saw some very alarming news later…"

"Huh? What is it?" I asked him.

"These, look," he showed me his phone.

The news headline said, "Over a Hundred "Nightmare Door" Ambush Attacks Leave Hundreds Of Casualties All Over The World. Primary Victims Are Not Civilians, But Dream Warriors!".

What the hell?!

"Nightmare Doors started popping out of nowhere and began ambushing people with Nightmare Demons?!" I asked. "No way… Why is this happening? I thought this world was… no wait, we barely know anything anyways."

"It seems to be a large-scale attack, one where they're aiming at many people at once," said Arthur. "And they're all Dream Warriors… they were even filmed, and they didn't even pay attention to civilians. They killed the Dram Warriors and tore their chests out, taking their Dream Hearts and leaving their bodies bleeding and spasming…"

"T-This is terrible…" Nia said. "Could the Nightmare Demon we fought before has something to do with this?"

"He did come from a gate, now that I remember," said Lucifer. "He opened a door out of the blue, and stepped inside, trying to do something with Sofia… and us. Well, he got defeated, but no more of them showed up."

"It's because of the barrier! The barrier!" Nyx said. "The professor said that the academy is well protected with a super strong anti-nightmare barrier, it doesn't easily let any nightmare get inside or through nightmare realms…"

"I suppose that barrier can be ignored with certain things…" I said.

Such as using my Shadows to carry Beatriz inside like I do, or when someone's Dream Heart becomes a Nightmare instead whose already inside, like with Sofia.

"So the barrier is repelling the Nightmare Doors, that's good, at least the academy is safe…" Nia sighed. "But if they keep killing the Dream Warriors around the world, won't humanity be doomed?"

"We're currently locked in the island right now…" I said. "So it's not like we can do much about the outside world right now… But they're definitely targeting their Dream Hearts. Beatriz, do you guys love eating those?"

"Yeah it makes us stronger," she answered, popping out of my shadows as a tiny black cat head. "But this power… I think I recognize it. It's papa's Nightmare Dimension Magic."

"Nightmare Dimension?!" I asked.

"It's his unique magic nobody else can use than him, it's one of the things that make him the undisputed king of all Nightmares!" she giggled. "It allows him to shape space, transform it, and distort it… He can also create those doors to instantly teleport Nightmare Demons from… from his manor- Ugh I shouldn't had said so much!"

"Hahah, thanks for all the info," I smiled. "So the method to catch him is going through the gate and invading his manor then?"

"I wouldn't be so sure! Usually no human can enter the gates anyways!" she said.

"Ah, I see… clever," I nodded. "But I happen to not be exactly a human…"

However, even then, this is not yet the time to do that, we don't even know where they'll appear or what's gonna happen anyways, so we have to be careful.

First, we must complete the trial's initial tasks while blending in and investigating as much as possible about this world and its past, and the nightmares.

After all, one of the hidden objectives was "discover the truth of the world" and so we must find that out.

"Maria! Arthur! Are you awake yet- Oh! There you are!"

Amelia appeared from the kitchen, moving her wheelchair, she was still wearing her pajamas.

"Good morning Amelia."

"Hello big sis."

"Well don't you all look lovely after taking that bath in the morning? Come eat! I've prepared some nice coffee, hot cocoa for the kids, cookies, eggs, bacon, toasts, everything!"

"Hot cocoa! Really?" wondered Nyx.

"I want some of that too! And cookies!" Celes said.

The two kids ran downstairs faster than we moved and ran into the kitchen, Amelia seemed to smile happily as she saw them.

I guess she must've been feeling really lonely, having a lot of people here probably made her finally happier.

"Thank you for the breakfast, you shouldn't have really made it…" I sighed.

"Ah, it's nothing, really! I'm just happy my siblings are here," Amelia smiled, joining us in the meals.

We ate together like a family, and then we quickly decided to move back to the academy.

"Byeee! Have a nice day!"

Amelia waved her hand as we moved back to the academy.

In the way there, we saw many other students walking back to the academy after having visited their parents.

I suppose we weren't the only ones here that went to visit our families, although it's not that common for everyone to have their family here.

Once we were far enough, Partner and Arachne stepped out. I had actually let them use the bathroom and also saved them some breakfast, which they ate inside the shadow realm.

"Finally out… I'm not doing this again!" Partner complained.

"I wanted to eat breakfast with everyone…" Arachne sighed.

"Sorry! I'll make up for you two later, ok?" I apologized.

"Eeeh, fine," Partner shrugged. "At least we got to sleep together so it doesn't-"

TRUUUM!

However, out of nowhere, right by our left, in the walls of a house, a huge black door appeared, and it swiftly opened.

Creaaak…!

From within the door, two monstrosities emerged, with red and purple skin, resembling Onis, covered on "clothes" made of black flames.

"We found them! A big group of them now!"

"Oooh, big catch! Big catch! Get em bro!"

They jumped towards us; they were big, burly Oni-like Nightmare Demons!

"You chose terrible targets to ambush!"

Lucifer was right in front of them, and his claws quickly grew longer and sharper, covered on Abyssal Death Flames.

"Begone!"

SLAAASH!

He slashed their faces with draconic strength, covering them on flames.

"Uuaaagghh!"

As the Nightmare Demons agonized, we jumped to battle, we couldn't even let them get away!
