Reawakening: SSS-Rank Villain’s POV

Chapter 69: Third Level Boss!

With a roar that sent shockwaves bursting through the entire hellscape, Levi swung the World Splitter Axe in a brutal, horizontal arc.

"Slash!"

The axe head glowed, leaving a crimson arc as it cleaved through two of the hell hounds like they were made of paper.

Blood, intestine and shattered bones flew out in all directions, painting the already malevolent world with an even more sinister look.

The hellhounds bodies almost disintegrate ls instantly under the slash from the legendary weapon.

The third hound was sent flying like a ragdoll yelping as it was hit by the edge of the shockwave!

Lucian didn't wait. He activated Crimson Shadow Step, vanishing in a blur of red mist just as a hound leaped for his throat, its jaws snapping shut on empty air with a shockwave that vibrated the very air.

In a burst of crimson light, Lucian suddenly reappeared behind the beast, slicing his spear vertically.

"BOOM!"

The blade of the spear passed through the hound's thick fur, slicing deep into its flesh.

"Awoooo!"

The hellhound howled in against as it hurriedly dashed away. However, it moved towards another blood shadow's direction - Baltzer!

"〔Phoenix Dive〕"

Baltzer shot forward like a fiery comet, the Blade of the Phoenix Soul pierced straight through the wounded hound's chest like an arrow.

"Puchi!"

The entire body of the hound suddenly glowed as raging flames escaped its eyes, nose, mouth and its entire offices.

"BANG!"

The body of the hellhound imploded like a grenade. Raging flames of explosion rang out as an intense wave of flames raged out, leaving only smoking ash.

The other Blood Shadows joined the fray. The Elite Titan with the Dominion Sword swung its heavy blade in wide, devastating arcs, slicing and forcing hounds back.

The elite Titan with the other epic sword and armor danced through the pack, its zigzag blade leaving deep, burning wounds.

The third elite Titan spear wielder kept multiple hounds at bay with rapid thrusts and sweeps.

While the rest of his blood shadows also began to killing the numerous hounds

But the hounds were relentless. And seemed endless as they came in from all sides.

One leaped onto the back of the Dominion Sword wielder, sinking its teeth into one Elite Titan Blood shadow's shoulder. Blackish-red essence spurted, but the shadow merely roared, reaching back and crushing the hound's skull with its bare hand.

Another hound managed to flank Levi, lunging for his unprotected side.

Its claws slicing across Levi's leg, tearing deep gouges. Levi roared, ignoring the pain, and backhanded the creature with his shield, sending it crashing into a pool of magma with a horrific sizzle and scream that was quickly silenced.

Lucian was also surrounded by three massive hell hounds. He slid under the snapping jaw, his spear spun rapidly as he swept the shaft horizontally, easily slicing through the skull of a the second hell hound, managed to block a third attack with his spear shaft, sending the hell hound backward when fourth hound blindsided him, latching onto his left arm with crushing force.

"Crunch!"

[+5 physique]

Lucian felt his shoulder blade shatter into numerous pieces as his left arm was bitten off. Intense pain rippled from his brain, his spine and then his arm.

However, Lucian didn't even bother with the pain and cackled like a mad man. Pain was nothing in the face of his will to get stronger.

In that second, his arm regenerated at speed not even the physical eyes could see. With his free hand, he thrust his spear upwards, directly stabbing through its skull and into its brain.

"Roooar!" Another hound clamped down on his leg, clenching down as it crushed his thigh muscles and bones, drawing blood. Lucian didn't flinch.

He clenched his fist and simply punched down.

"Boom!"

Shockwaves blasted outwards and a sickening crack echoed through the entire floor and it went limp.

The battle was intense with claws, teeth, fire, steel, blood and flesh flying in all directions like bullet.

Lucian's mana was draining rapidly, the hell hounds were tearing his Blood shadows to pieces.L and he was reciving them back.

His waist was once ripped into two haves one time at one point he simply regrew new legs while simultaneously decapitating his attackers.

Another shadow, the spear wielder, was tackled into a magma flow. It thrashed violently as its form melted and burned, before dissolving completely.

[Blood Shadow Destroyed!]

"Rise!" Lucian commanded again, his mana shrinking rapidly. His mana bar, even with the massive +10,000 boost was visibly shrinking under the constant drain of resummoning and healing.

This floor was a war of attrition. The hounds were individually weaker than the titans, perhaps, but their numbers, and the environment gave them the advantage.

Gradually, painfully, the tide began to turn. Levi who was amplified by the legendary axe and shield, carved a bloody path through the pack. Baltzer, nimble and deadly with the Phoenix Blade, picked the off one by one with efficiency.

Lucian himself, was like a tornado who tore through the remaining beasts.

Finally, the last Hell Hound fell, killed by Lucian's spear.

Silence descended, broken only by the bubbling sound of magma, the crackling of distant fires, and Lucian's own ragged breathing

The ground was littered with the smoking remains of dozens of Hell Hounds. His Blood Shadows stood battered but intact, thanks to resummoning.

There were numerous tears and burns on Levi's which started to heal on Lucian's command, depleting even more mana.

Baltzer stood there menacingly with the blade whose glow had dimmed slightly.

Lucian surveyed the carnage, steam rising from his own rapidly healing wounds. His mana was down by nearly 60%. That fight had been far more costly than the entire second floor boss battle, simply due to the numbers of the hell hounds and the constant need to resummon.

He took a moment, focusing on the Heavenly Demonic Transformation technique, drawing in the mana in the surroundings. His regeneration accelerated, and his mana pool began to slowly tick upwards, aided immensely by the +1000% regen from the World Tree Leaf Pendant and the +500% from the Celestial Essence Well Pendant.

However, it would still take sometime to recover.

But the floor wasn't finished with him.

As the last echo of the battle faded, a startling pressure suddenly emerges like a roaring thunder.

The heat in the surroundings surged . The ground vibrated with a low, rhythmic purr that was even more vicious than the roars of the hellhounds!

From a massive fissure ahead, covered in shimmering heat haze and sulfurous fumes, a figure emerged.

Lucian's eyes narrowed. This aura… it was even more powerful than the hounds, even Levi was a like a kid compared to it. This was the boss.

She stepped out of the heat haze and into the hellish light, and Lucian felt a jolt, not of fear, but of surprise mixed with caution. She was… unexpectedly humanoid, and was incredibly beautiful!

She possessed a predatory grace, moving with a dancer's poise that belied the power radiating from her.

Her skin had a smooth, slightly ashen tone that seemed to absorb the red light. Raven-black hair cascaded down her back, framing a face that was disturbingly beautiful, save for the eyes – feline, tilted, glowing with a mischievous, intelligent gold light, and pupils narrowed into vertical slits.

Two velvety black cat ears, proportional to her head, twitched atop her hair, catching the subtle sounds of the environment. A long, slender black tail, tipped with slightly longer fur, swayed lazily behind her, betraying a restless energy.

When her lips curved into a slow, predatory smile, Lucian caught the distinct glint of elongated, needle-sharp canines.

Her clothing wasn't much was was an interlocking plates of smooth, black obsidian and dark red, leather-like material that hugged her figure, revealing a world wending curves that could kill a man on sight.

But the most striking feature was the weapon she carried. Resting nonchalantly on her shoulder was a massive great-sword.

It was easily as tall as she was, maybe taller. The blade was curved, forged from the same black obsidian as her armor, but its edge pulsed with an inner core of molten magma, radiating intense heat.

Jagged runes snaked along its body, glowing with malevolent energy. It looked heavy enough to anchor a ship, yet she held it effortlessly and even loved with it.

She stopped about fifty meters away, her golden eyes sweeping over Lucian, then his Blood Shadows, lingering for a moment on Leviathan. Her smile widened, revealing more of those sharp teeth.

"Well, well," her voice purred, a low, melodic sound that nonetheless sent shivers down Lucian's spine
